Confirmedzombie: Patience is a virtue which all of us must cultivate. Im done talking.
it serms you have been living overseas all these while, patience is a tool for delay and denial of rights in the hands of Nigeria politicians, they can not be trusted bye
Confirmedzombie: Nigerians are very terrible people filled with hypocrites. We want reform, which has started, why not give the govt a benefit of doubt to carry out the reforms.
Look at the comments here. You can remain in the streets protesting, this people don't care, they are feeding big with their families.
We will keep protesting while our families suffer and the people in govt eat fat.
The protest shouldn't be on ENDSARS anymore but rather ENDBADGOVT.
There is hunger in the land. I dont support further protest on ENDSARS but I call for ENDBADGOVT.
Imagine a senator or House member earning 30million a month while a Director in the civil service earn below 300k.
This is wickedness and condemnation. I wont protest again for ENDSARS but will join any protest on ENDBADGOVT.
Our senators must not earn more than 500k per month
do you no how many benefit of doubt that we gave given and waited for change but still nothing or you are not tired waiting
surgical: This protest is better organized than what ever protest the compromised NLC could ever come up with shame on NLC and the sleeping civil societies organizations Kudos to the Nigerian youths, may God be with you all
I have said it over and over again those old people are our problem
VillagePeople11: wow ..this is great... we better pass this government hundred times...ills in the society is as a result of their demonic leadership... I don't know why few people we put millions into penury... we have more power than them, we plenty pass them, let's take back the country from them.
Let's pull funds together.... come 2023 we don't need anybody that has ever been a politician before... lets push in new blood, new ideas, new parties based on preselected criterias... look at fintech in Nigeria, we have so much innovative minds... I don't know why we are constantly pushing in old blood sucking vampires in as leaders
. We would have to enlighten those elders at home who are willing to sell their votes for a plastic plate of rice to vote for the right person and most importantly defend the ballot box with all we have.
Okortor: Let dem use force but I shall protest today, not going to church. How can tin tomato b #150, rice derica#500, garri #900 a paint, fuel #165, palm oil from #1500-#2500, g oil from #1800-#3200. Didn't know all dese while, prolly cos my wife do stock d house n am dis work work person. Had to take a walk around yesterday so I got to know all dese. #BuhariMustResign #IgpMustResign #BurataiMustResign #RestructureNigeria #EndSars #EndPoliceBrutality #EndBadGovernance #EndInflation #ReduceFuelPrice
Garri that was 400 per rubber paint may this pharaoh Buhari experience the wrath of God
adebwalex: You ask a stupid question. Police that some of the protester attacked them and you are asking their were about. When they engage them you will still come out to say police killed protesters.. I don't know why you guys are thinking upside down.
You gave a very stupid reply sir, no body is against the police, check the 5 point agenda it favours us and also favours them besides, they have a lot more to gain from training etc to pension, welfare packages and increase in salary and also a rule of engagement was also put in place but if you have brutalised a citizen unjustly, killed, extort civilians you have to pay for your action. For the fact that you turned a blind eye to all this and understand and accept it they way it is that shows that you are also one of the problems of this country and when we are done the police and govt we should all sit down and speak truth to ourselves.
In all the protest in each state there was no single case where mob killed a police man or best him or her up but instead they extended kindness, love and support to them and even the poor but if you are in NPF and you have engaged in those wicked act the protesters would call for justice on you without engaging you physically, is that not kind or fair enough.... Pray that it does not get to the extent where youths would start walking with guns to protect themselves from police or you think getting guns in this age is difficult?
If you are a police or you have anything to do with the force you are one of the problems of this country and may God help you realise your mistakes
At the end when this start working well, it is a pity that you would still be in this country enjoying what we youths fought for, if the gvt listen to our cries and things began working well, I pray the people who doesn't support the changes won't live to enjoy it Amen!
I am not cursing you oo as long as you know deep down in your heart and conscience that you are saying and doing the right thing now.
RuudVanNisteroy: Hussaini Coomassie, a United Nations Ambassador for Peace and Social Justice has said that the president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) ought to use force against #EndSARS protesters.
Quoting Russian president, Vladimir Putin, the ambassador said that Buhari should do what was necessary and not necessarily follow due process to ensure peace in Nigeria.
adebwalex: The current End SARS protests has become a problem to some areas and environments as the security of this areas is at high risks as hoodlums and criminals are using this arena or avenue to commit crimes and they are also protesting to end SARS. I really appreciate our youths for their courage in standing and defending their right for citizenship, let us be more concerns about the life and things we do. To be realistic its not not nice when you found out that a youth in Nigeria who is living in Ede, abakiliki or oron all in Nigeria connecting just to fraud some in Kansas USA and bringing the funds to the country without using it for anything exception of lavishing the fun in things that doesn't bring life , growth , and development to the country, and we're the same people protesting to end SARS and police brutality. Our government is failing us but the youths are failing government the most. Let's the youths change their mindset and the government will be reform because now I know that the youths have the power to change the government. What has the youths really done for the government?. Why I am saying all this things is that due to the on going protest in the States, some youths have started committing crimes. A day before yesterday Friday to be precisely 6 vehicles brain box were vandalized by unknown armed men at kadol ogba Ikeja local government. Imagine what we might be facing in due time.... How can we reform ourselves first before thinking about talking about ending anything because the highest problem and complaints from our youths are course by some of our youths who feels so curious and don't also have feelings to care about how others people feel. Before we burn down our dear country I also advice our youths to make a change by repenting from all our evil doings starting from Cyber crimes and physical crimes, when this happened the country will be a better place for all of us. End SARS but once you connect, make sure you protect it.
so tell me what should be the job of the police? Are they not suppose to protect the protesters and communities from hoodlums? They stood and watched, what does that tell you?
This is the first time we are uniting as Nigerians including Kano south and Jos
Those that are not united with us are the black sheep of the family, they need your advice now
They have always used poverty, tribe, money, politics to divide us... This is the first time we are united in the south and some northern parts are speaking with one voice.
blackpanda: That's never going to happen because the people to make such laws are the ones benefitting from it. And besides 90% of youth are praying to enter there and chop their own.
Like I said the change must start from the people. Not protesting against something u secretly wish u are the one benefitting from
Lie Mohammed the fed will go beyond and Nigeria will move forward.
Let's see where this will end, they want to use school to silence us but we will resume and we won't back down... I think God wants this that is why is started without a person leading the protest, self awareness.
AlphikkaTech: I'm a Niger Deltan but we should consider other states especially Northern Nigeria who have nothing.
it should be done in a way that both south and north can develop accordingly, agriculture must be revived.
In a sane country money that is gotten from oil is used to develop other sectors that can generate money for the states but in Nigeria money is generated for only the pocket of many northern leaders in few southern leaders those Buffalos
murmee: Relax. A journey of a thousand miles starts with a few steps!
We should not stop pushing and start waiting on that first steps to metamorphosis into greatness, if we stop we may be stranded with that only step forever like it was before.
That first step must be followed through till the last afterwards we back down.
Okuda: Yes and I believe this would make people who move away from their states in search of greener pastures stay there unlike what is happening in Lagos with the population issue.
Okuda: Yes and I believe this would make people who move away from their states in search of greener pastures stay there unlike what is happening in Lagos with the population issue.
Their selfishness and readiness are limiting each and every state to develop at their own pace and ensure competition amongst States in terms of growth.
This is not the Restructuring we are looking for They are just giving us crumbs we need something better This may have small impact, we want the real deal
We deserve better
We have suffered for long
No going back
I think the elders are part of our problem they left everything to the youth and they would be the first to trade their vote for a cup of rice.
Later they will call us lazy and say we are the problem. Nigerians should design how we want this country restructured and not this crumbs the are giving us
There are a lot of wastefulness in the hands of politician
Stealing from public office must punished we death because for each money they stole they have killed many
Political offices must be made unattractive and power must be checked properly with no room for lobby so the people who are willing to serve would hold office positions not these career polithieves.
jamislaw: Kaduna state youths troops out from different locations to protest against #EndSars #Endbanditory #Endkilling in the north and Nigeria in general. I was there live and direct.
This is a very nice one from our real northern brothers who wants the best for Nig
Why are you all crying? YORUBAS WERE JOYOUS WHEN THIS SAME ARMY LAUNCHED OPERATION PYTHON DANCE ON INNOCENT IGBO PROTESTERS BACK THEN! WHAT CHANGED?
you are a pure idiot, this is not the right time to display your stupidity, Yorubas, Igbos, Deltans, Benins etc are in this together working as one and you are here bringing tribalism to the topic, how has it helped your life.
As for the federal gvt, we will see where this would lead us, deploy the soldiers and kill us all we are not backing down.
This would be a big mistake and it won't work, you can't oppress civilians who are busy protesting their rights in disguise of fighting bokoharam it won't work.
Who among the government officials have been chopping the money? Our 7 seven point agenda has not been met, later one mumu will come here to say that the protect is unjust etc awon omo iya were.
Those useless police left their rights and faced killing and extortion
DebbyJose: The All Progressive Party, APC has warned mischief makers to be wary of hijackers, to avoid diversionary interest in the ongoing #EndSARS protest.
The youths took to the street on Thursday, 8 October 2020 to protest across the states of the country, against intimidation and harassment from the Special Anti-robbery Squad, SARS, and arm of the Nigerian Police Force.
In a statement released by the party public secretary, Hon. Seye Oladejo, the party warned the opposition party, People’s Democratic Party, PDP to steer clear of the protest and not disguise to cause mayhem because of the October by-elections in the Lagos East Senatorial district.
The statement reads;
Our attention has been drawn to the needless and irresponsible politicizing of the #ENDSARS nationwide protest by the opposition PDP.
It will be recalled that the Lagos state government since the commencement of the protest march around different parts of the state has been supportive. Mr Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwoolu and his deputy have taken turns to address the protesters identifying with the issues at stake and assuring of the state government sympathy.
The governor, in keeping with his promise, went ahead to present the terms of the resolution of the crisis to President Mohammadu Buhari in Abuja.
In addition, the state government ensured that all the protesters arrested were released.
It is worthy of note that the most important responsibility of any worthwhile government is the protection of the lives and property of the citizens as guaranteed by the 1999 constitution.
The #ENDSARS protest seeks to enforce this provision within the ambit of the citizens fundamental human right to life and dignity. As a party, we’re all concerned about the incessant incidents of police brutality which largely remain unchecked. There’s no doubt that no one is immuned against the lawlessness of a police force trained and sustained by the tax payers money.
However, the recent turn of events at the protest today gives serious cause for concern. The attack launched by hoodlums on armless and peaceful protesters was in bad taste.
The attempt in the social media, sponsored by the opposition PDP, to hold the state government responsible is to say the least , the height of bitter politics.
However, our investigation has revealed that the PDP would like to take advantage of the spate of protest to cause mayhem because of the October by-elections in the Lagos East Senatorial district.
Our intelligence has revealed the plans to unleash further attacks on the protesters especially in the Kosofe Local Government in the days ahead.
As the ruling party, we’re mindful of our role to support the government especially as regards the citizens rights and the delivery of our electoral promises.
We wish to call on law enforcement agencies to be alive to their responsibility to protect the citizens of the state from any untoward development that can disrupt our peaceful co-existence.
By the same token, the opposition party will be well counseled to revert to issue based campaign that will make for healthy politicking.
Seye Oladejo Lagos APC Spokesman
mischief makers to be wary of hijackers if you actually mean the protesters are mischief makers you should also consider how miserable you have made the people before such mischief arises, there is no another mischievous being here than the gvt
