Health › Re: UK Investigating Gay Bars After New Monkeypox Outbreak Related To Gays by King44(m): 7:08pm On May 20, 2022 |
ogbiwa: UK health chiefs are "actively investigating" gay and bisexual bars and spas as they try to contain the monkeypox outbreak.
Nine cases of the extremely rare disease have been confirmed in the UK so far, with six of those cases relating to men who have sex with men, according to the Daily Mail.
Officials say this is "highly suggestive of spread in sexual networks".
There is reportedly a similar pattern developing across Europe. In Spain, seven gay or bisexual men have tested positive, whereas Portugal has seen nine cases involving "mostly young" males.
There are also fears that monkeypox may be far more widespread than we are currently aware, given that most of the patients are not linked to each other.
Today (May 19), UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) warned men to look out for rashes developing on their face or genitals.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) issued an update on the outbreak last night discussing the situation in the UK, which was before two more British gay or bisexual men were confirmed to have contracted it today.
In their statement, they revealed that gay venues and the sexual contacts of the confirmed patients were being investigated.
The update read: "Health authorities in the UK have established an incident management team to coordinate the extensive contact tracing which is currently underway in health care settings and the community for those who have had contact with the confirmed cases.
"Contacts are being assessed based on their level of exposure and followed up through active or passive surveillance for 21 days from the date of last exposure to a case. Vaccination is being offered to higher risk contacts.
"A detailed backwards contact tracing investigation is also being carried out to determine the likely route of acquisition and establish whether there are any further chains of transmission within the UK for all cases.
"Sexual contacts and venues visited (for example saunas, bars and clubs) are actively being investigated for the four GBMSM [gay, bisexual and men who have sex with men] cases."
Contact tracers are reportedly interviewing the owners of gay venues as part of their investigations.
Monkeypox is a rare viral infection which can be caught from infected wild animals in parts of West and Central Africa.
It can spread between humans via both droplet respiration or an infected person's bodily fluids.
In humans it causes lesions to grow and fill with clear fluid, which then change into bumps with yellowish fluid that crust over and fall off.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), one in every 100 cases of monkeypox will result in death.
https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest-news/monkeypox-outbreak-uks-gay-bars-27013692 watin concern west Africa inside. You had sex with animals and a person of same sex, and start blaming animals in west Africa, this people are silly. Don't they have animals in the UK And else where? |

fergie001: PM News Firstly, going by the things she said on the what sap voice not she didn't insult any prophet or anybody. She only said religious posts should not be posted on the group because that was not what the group was meant for, it was meant to help her fellow students to pass the upcoming examination or so. Unless what she said was different from this, which I highly doubt. Even at that, let's assume he insulted a prophet who they have taken as a god in the north, they have no right to take that poor girl's life. I was shocked to read that 34 lawyers pulled up to defend broad day murders/fuccking criminals for God's sake!!I am pretty sure there are people bankrolling those worthless lawyers to start with. Besides, what sort of investigation are they conducting since. They are trying to help those fuckerrs escape justice as expected. If they are allowed to go scot free shame on Judiciary arm of the gvt and the entire NBA or whatever, and shame on the gvt too. We are being forced to live with murders and terrorists. I don't see any reason why 100 Christian lawyers shouldn't storm that court and get the poor Christian girl justice.

Very unqualified. Apart from this, he us a Cameroonion, Buhari Is from Mali, Abacha from Mali or Niger. Voting outsiders have never worked in our favour as a country.

Plus, the country is not made for Northerners alone. Let the south rule, either, east or west (not Tifnubu, that one na oloriburuku in high places) preferably east. |

The likes of these professor Maqari would be condenming Boko Haram and saying what the Boko boys are practicing is not Islam. Even in Saudi where Islam originated, same thing would be done under those circumstance. so tell me who is practicing the real Islam? I think Islam doesn't represent violence but some people misinterpreted it to suit their violent nature and that is why you see up north and every other crazy place in the world. You can never hear of such cases down south. If Islam is what those people I interpreted it to be, the south should be up in flame as the north. |

In the north, most of the youth are murders in the guise of religion. I hope she gets justice. This northerners are always laying bad examples. Painting Islam with a bad brush. Giving Islam bad names. Their place is in hell where they belong, murder is a grievous since and a crime. I hope the Nigerian bar association would act on these and give her family justice.
She didn't say anything wrong. I listened to the interpretation of what she said, she didn't abuse Mohammed but even if she did. Is that a moral ground to kill Jan you can't create?

Members of Operation Dudula have been known to invade shops and other businesses where they believe that immigrants are working. They say that small businesses should be reserved strictly for South Africans alone.

The people in the government also have their children in expensive universities overseas too and, it doesn't stop their money too
