Politics › Re: Lagos Records Highest Non-import Value Added Tax (VAT) by kingamaa(m): 9:53pm On Oct 28, 2025 |
Hassanmaye: Is not that, you can't credit other states benefits to Lagos weekly and expect not grow monopoly, all banks remit there weekly profit to Lagos, all the companies in Nigeria, how can you make profit in kano, zamfara, Cross river, Rivers and remit everything back to Lagos?? Are we Normal in this country?? The only port working through sea? Can't we link and open water sea ports in other states, why Yoruba monopoly?? It has nothing to do with the Yoruba monopoly. That is my issue with you. This has been the case before Tinubu became president. It has been the case from time immemorial and nobody complained. If there is a need for a change, then let the representatives of the people agitate for one, but don't be surprised that even if there is a change, Lagos will still come out tops. Lagos has been blessed with visionary leaders from inception. Lateef Jakande easily comes to mind, and so it's not surprising they are benefiting from that today. Different regions have produced presidents at one time or another, so why didn't they follow the example of Lagos? Not everything is Yoruba. Give honor and credit to those who merit it. |
