honsule:Thanks for the tip, I tried that and the story is still the same, still saying file "damaged" I think I need another installer file from another modem, installer file anybody? |
It still works on the desktop since it was installed there prior to the "damaging" of the raw installation files on the modem. so what I am think I might need now is a "copy" of the intallation files from another another fastlink MF627. |
@Dclique, honsule and hayprof I need your help on my MTN USB modem https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-381743.0.html |
I just bought the recent MTN fastlink MF627 USB modem, I have installed it both on my laptop and desktop and it works perfectly fine. The problem now is that since I learnt it to a friend to use for about 2 days during which I formatted my laptop, I noticed that the modem is no longer able to install in another system giving the screen shots that are shown below. It indicates that there is damaged file or some sort. It still works fine on my desktop and his own laptop without any problem, I have tried it on so many other desktop/laptops with Vista/XP and Win 7, the story is still the same. He says does not know what happened. I visited MTN website and found out that the only have the software (or whatever ) for E170 USB modem. Please does anyone have the raw installation files for MTN fastlink MF627?. I noticed that this can be extracted from the modem NL folks I need your help as I may not be able to install it on my laptop. The modem is still in good condition and works very well.

Since they can't get our dear sick President to resign, they are trying to give him a "stimulus package" to reconsider ![]() |
Nice to know he still thinks that Chelsea can win the Premier league, hear him "This [Chelsea side], apart from Nicolas Anelka and Branislav Ivanovic, is still my team and they all mean an awful lot to me," "I really think that they can win the Premier League again this season. They are top of the league and already it looks like Liverpool are out of the race for sure" "Manchester United are up there but to me they just do not look the same team without Cristiano Ronaldo," "United with him and without him are totally different teams - him going to Real Madrid is a massive difference for them because he is the best player in the world." "Arsenal are up there too but every time they get up near the top they do something wrong - like draw with Burnley. So the road is open for Chelsea again and I hope everything goes well for them." http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2009/12/29/1715379/chelsea-to-win-premier-league-due-to-manchester-uniteds |
And now the special one promises to be back , hear him "I want to come back to England. I want to be back. I'm not the kind of guy to his feelings hidden," "I love it here, I love it here, I love it here." "I believe I will be back one day. I don't leave any club in mid-season to go to another," "So until the end of the season, there is no chance I will leave Inter." http://eurosport.yahoo.com/29122009/58/premier-league-former-chelsea-boss-jose-mourinho-hints-return.html |
Jose Mourinho milked the adulation of the Chelsea faithful as he returned to Stamford Bridge on a scouting mission. The Inter Milan boss was back in west London to check out his former side, who he faces in the Champions League last 16 in February. Mourinho waved, smiled and signed autographs for supporters before the Barclays Premier League match against Fulham. The 46-year-old recently admitted he missed the busy festive football period in England and the winter break in Italy allowed him to return to his old stamping ground. Unlike with Inter president Massimo Moratti, Mourinho claims he can still call Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich a friend, despite the way the pair parted company in September 2007. Ad the Blues were happy to welcome back the self-styled 'Special One' who won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and a pair of League Cups during his three-year spell in England. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1238942/Jose-Mourinho-Inter-old-routine-pays-Special-visit-Chelsea--PICTURE-SPECIAL.html?ITO=1490#ixzz0b0wXBkCb

The Abuja High Court was today asked to declare Umaru Yar’Adua’s failure to transmit a written declaration to the leadership of the National Assembly before proceeding on medical vacation three weeks ago to be a violation of the Nigerian constitution. In the suit, filed against the Attorney-General of the Federation by Mr. Femi Falana of FALANA & FALANA’S CHAMBERS, Abuja, the court is also asked for: * A declaration that the meetings of the Federal Executive Council held since November 23 2009 and the decisions taken at those meetings are illegal and unconstitutional as they violate Section 148(2) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999. * AN ORDER OF MANDATARY INJUNCTION compelling Yar’adua to transmit a written declaration to the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives that he has proceeded on medical vacation (and) to empower the Vice President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan to discharge the functions of the President as the Acting President of Nigeria. The Attorney-General has eight days to respond to the summons either personally or through a legal representative. If he fails to do so, according to the summons, the court could determine as it pleases as the judge may think “just and expedient.” The full text of the lawsuit can be seen in the link below http://www.saharareporters.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4552:falana-asks-court-to-declare-yaraduas-failure-to-hand-over-to-jonathan-illegal-&catid=1:latest-news&Itemid=18 |
From your description, looks like something somewhere is slowing down your system. You may have to check the no of auto start progs or even viruses. you may also consider defragmenting your hard disk.Make sure its not none of these before talking about an updrage. Good luck |

rough play ; |
Anceloti has gone two games without a win, so fielding a strong side at home in a so called meaningless match is completely understandable, just for his side to get on winning ways before the crucial home game against Everton. come to think of it, who would he really play that would mean to weaken his side?, unless you are suggesting he brings out all his academy players just to show how meaningless the game is. looking at the bench you would agree that he wanted to bring some of them on when he is already sure of victory. I guess its just a gamble that went wrong, thats football for you!!!!!!!! |
good move, the illiteracy rate in this country is alarming |

Jailed Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Chief Bode George is yet to come to terms with the two and half years jail term handed down to him and five others on Monday, by Ikeja High Court. The embattled former Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) boss was said to have remained pensive since he was brought to the Maximum Prisons, Kirikiri, Lagos. A source at the Prisons, told Daily Sun on Wednesday that the former military governor of Ondo State had refused to eat all the food served him by the Prison officials. However, to ensure that he is properly fed, Prison authorities had directed his family to serve him his favourite foods. But the Naval officer, it was learnt, had refused to eat other food except bread and tea, which he took occasionally. The source, however, did not see anything strange in his behaviour, as it was normal for new convicts to find it difficult to come to terms with the present travails. “He is a first timer. It is only people like the late Gani Fawehinmi that can come to the prison and start eating immediately, Bode George will soon get over it.” Contrary to the reports that the PDP chieftain and his colleagues had been given prison uniforms, the source said they were yet to be given one. He said: “We don’t keep uniforms for people like that. We only measure and sew when people of his calibre had been convicted. We don’t pre-empt the Judges, we keep our minds open. So, it is only when persons like that are pronounced guilty that we sew uniforms for them.” “Who would have imagined that a PDP stalwart like him, would be sent to jail? So, you can see that he has not gotten any uniform. “As I am talking to you now, the tailor is still sewing his uniform. We only took his measurement today (yesterday) and I know the uniform will be ready by Friday.” The source further told Daily Sun that there was an order from the Prison authorities to restrict the number of sympathizers that troop to the prison to console the ex-military man. According to him, one of the measures being adopted to ward off visitors was to ask them to drop their passport photographs before they could see him. He disclosed that the measure had yielded result, as many people who were suspicious of why their passport photographs were required, refused to see him again. He said only few family members and friends, who were very close to him agreed to keep their photographs with the security men. When contacted for comments, the Lagos State Prison Command spokesman, Mr. Ope Fatinikun said prison authorities do not comment on individual prison inmates. He said: “Our concern is to reform the prisoners and to reintegrate them into the society. All I can tell you now is that all the inmates in the Kirikiri Maximum prisons are fine, they are doing well.” When Daily Sun visited the Maximum Prison yesterday, 10 stern-looking armed men were seen guarding the gate. http://sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2009/oct/29/national-29-10-2009-006.html |

Finland has become the first country in the world to declare broadband Internet access a legal right. Starting in July, telecommunication companies in the northern European nation will be required to provide all 5.2 million citizens with Internet connection that runs at speeds of at least 1 megabit per second. The one-megabit mandate, however, is simply an intermediary step, said Laura Vilkkonen, the legislative counselor for the Ministry of Transport and Communications. The country is aiming for speeds that are 100 times faster -- 100 megabit per second -- for all by 2015. "We think it's something you cannot live without in modern society. Like banking services or water or electricity, you need Internet connection," Vilkkonen said. Finland is one of the most wired in the world; about 95 percent of the population have some sort of Internet access, she said. But the law is designed to bring the Web to rural areas, where geographic challenges have limited access until now. "Universal service is every citizen's subjective right," Vilkkonen said. Should fast Internet access be everyone's legal right? It is a view shared by the United Nations, which is making a big push to deem Internet access a human right. In June, France's highest court declared such access a human right. But Finland goes a step further by legally mandating speed. On the other hand, the United States is the only industrialized nation without a national policy to promote high-speed broadband, according to a study released in August by the Communications Workers of America, the country's largest media union. Forty-six percent of rural households do not subscribe to broadband, and usage varies based on income, the study found. http://edition.cnn.com/2009/TECH/10/15/finland.internet.rights/index.html |
Those boys are playing good football guys, just that they have not been lucky with the finishing. Remember four best third placed teams will go the next round. Somehow , there is still hope. It's never over until its over!!!!!! |
