I'll try to make this story brief. This may come as a shocking news to the owner of the business I'll mention in this discussion. Some time around 2018 to 2020 (can't remember exact year), I met this beautiful lady in Calabar. I was a student of Unical and she was a student too. We started talking and became friends afterwards. Weeks later, she told me she got a job as an agent with a new cab company (like uber and bolt) I don't know the collective noun for it sha.. Forgive me. The company "Carry Go" just came in Calabar and wanted to expand then. So, due to the love I had for this my friend, I told her that I'll make her agent work easier by making people sought after her for registration. This agent stuff, they pay her per driver she brings in for registration. She was only going to restaurants and malls to look for people who will register. So, i opened a Facebook page with the name of the company, designed it and posted info about the company and the benefits of working with them. I attached this my friend's number as the agent to contact if interested. I started running Facebook and Instagram ads for the page and targeted car owners within the town. Suddenly, this girl started receiving calls from people who were interested. What she was doing then was to invite them to their office and register them. It was as simple as that, and she was making great commissions while expanding the company in Calabar. So, one day, her employer stumbled upon the Facebook page and was impressed to see my friend's number as agent. He called her and showed gratitude and also thanked her for her support. My friend outrightly told him that she has a friend who did it for her. That he is good in product/business ads. Then, I was actually feeding with the side hustle. But as my friend recommended me to her boss, I was very happy too. The boss invited me and we had a brief meeting. He said he'd like me to join his team. That I'll be a good material for the company. So he gave me time to visit his office and meet with his team.. That day, I dressed casually and innocently to the place. Met his team, greeted them and the leader asked me to sit and wait till he calls me. I sat and waited. I realised they had other people to employ too. So it turned out to be that I came for a job interview. Remember, the boss already approved me and in his words he said "Meet with my team, look for a way to carry them along". But, I kept my cool till it got to my turn. I met with this guy. First thing he asked me was "how many followers do you have on twitter and Facebook..". Argh! I told him that my followers has nothing to do with the job I'm to do. Because if I have 1m followers who followed me because I teach about tech, what made you think they will be interested when I start talking about Cab and Taxying in Calabar. They asked me for blueprint, and I told them that I'm a digital marketer. The only thing I'll do is to promote the company online, using ads. Ladies and gentlemen, this guy said he will get back to me. After weeks of waiting, my friend told me that the oga has been asking of me. The oga later called me and asked why I haven't been coming around. I told him his team leader said he will get back to me. After some months, my friend came and told me that the team was been envious of her because she reaches target on time.. She also revealed that the oga said the reason I was not been called was because team leader said I never had much followers on social media, where I'll be posting flyers and banners. Immediately, I stopped promoting the page I created.. I told my friend to look for another job because she may nolonger be getting new people anymore. And also, since she was feeling insecure in the team. Few months later, everything about "Carry Go" in Calabar gradually evaporated. I don't know what happened, but I'm sure the publicity department did a very poor job. I don't know if the company is still in Calabar today. I heard it originated in Lagos and exist(ed) there. So, if you are that manager (Mr John White) that was sent to handle Calabar department that year, I'm sorry, you chose the wrong team leader who knew nothing about digital marketing. #cheers |

Hello! After I read about someone's revelation on new scam method in town, I just learnt and passed. That night, a friend called me, saying she lost al her life savings to Scammers. And it was same method I read here. I felt bad and guilty because I was supposed to create awareness of the scam method I read here. Most people are still about to fall victim. That's why I opened this thread. All you have to do is to update it with old and new scam methods Scammers use now. I believe search engines will direct people to this thread when they want to know. Scammers here may not like this thread, but please, let's flood here with their methods and tactics so that the public, users and guest will learn. Thanks. AbujaClient:I'm experienced. I'm a certified Fisheries and Aquaculturist and I work in a poultry section of a company currently. |
Greetings all! I seriously need advice here before I take decisions. I'm a serving Corps Member somewhere in the south eastern part of Nigeria. Few days ago, someone informed me that he wants to rent out his farm. This farm can be used for poultry, fishery and agriculture too. Attached below is a screenshot of the specifications. He wants to rent it out for ₦600,000 annually with its facilities. Since I don't have that kind of money for rent, I'll end up looking for where to borrow money from to get (Not decided yet) I'm still wondering if I'll be able to make annual profit that can cover the rent, expenses and the welfare of the facilities. Business Pros in the house, help me please. I need advice please.

Greatzeus:Should there be a different lesson for people to teach them how to speak in public, politely? Can't you hold a straight conversation without insults? Nawa o.. Anyways, I go to work by 7:30am and close by 5pm The sentence above should at least counter your thoughts about me. Cheers. |
For the past days now, I've not been able to afford anything, no hope from anywhere at all, just trust in God. These few days, I know how I feel inwardly and tries my best to stay out of trouble or provocative arguments. But amidst these feelings, I still worry about how men with children and probably a wife, cope in today's Nigeria. I'm not married, neither do I have children or living with anyone. Just that NYSC is happening to me and I'm seeing what seems to be like "shege" already. This evening, I just decided to check if miracle could happen to my bank account. LOL, UBA never disappointed me. So guys, how do you guys cope?

Let me teach you how to make feeds by yourself.. |
If you run a poultry farm, you will agree with me that one of the challenges faced is basically buying of feeds. It can be very frustrating when you realize that you no longer have money to buy feeds for your birds. Which may lead to starving the birds and maybe, selling off your birds. I want to sell a knowledge to you for as low as ₦2,000 I paid huge amount of money to learn this and as a Corper, I'm currently working in one of the biggest feed producing company in Nigeria. If you are interested in learning how to produce feeds for broilers from (STARTERS, GROWERS, FINISHERS) and even Super Layers( Which makes your broilers lay hundreds of eggs weekly), write me an email. I'll give you a total breakdown of the materials needed with the exact measurements including the minerals/vitamins premix. A step by step application used in producing upto 1 ton which is equivalent to 40 bags of 25kg pelleted feed. If you wish to setup a poultry feed production plant for commercial production, you may also contact me. kingclavi@gmail.com |
budaatum:Very true |
We are gradually entering the phase of "survival of the fittest" in Nigeria. This is the reason people go out there to acquire skills or learn handiworks. How do you intend to make extra money this period? Agriculture. Yes. Look into that sector now. You can use an empty space in your compound to cultivate cash crops. But if you have money to buy trampoline tanks for fish farming, I can teach you how to start a fish farm with atleast 200 fingerlings which may cost ₦20,000 or less to acquire. Then you feed them till December and sell for ₦200,000. You may also learn how to make fish feeds yourself to avoid wasting money on feeds too. If this interests you, notify me. |
Sequingirl:Thanks. Let me try it out |
