I would like to correct this slightly in saying that much of the looting did occur in mixed areas of the country with predominant Zulu populations.

Looting was not a common thing in say the mafikeng area where Tswana-Pedi people reside
They also say lootings happened in Gauteng, the same Gauteng divided between Pretoria, Vereeniging and Johannesburg
Pretoria is made of predominately the same Tswana and Bapedi people
Vereening which is made of predominantly Sotho and Tswana people
let's not make this what it's not please...

Lol none of us is wrong here. I don't know your country more than you but like I said, I witnessed what South Africans were saying about different things. Maybe they were wrong or their views were influenced by what they know about the said tribe but let's just forget about it. South Africa is a beautiful country which I hope to visit one day and meet my friends.
But to say lootings were started by Zulus is incorrect. That's the point of my argument

Asking for sources means you want some online articles written about the whole thing but I really don't believe things I read except if I see it by the citizens of that country. I didn't say my Venda friend from UJ? I said my level adviser was the one that studied in UJ. I could tell you his name to ask around if I'm lying.

I have friends from all tribes in Mzansi except Afrikaners
I am a citizen of that country, or don't I count?
I just think you're all too eager to believe him what he says about Zulu people because you already have pre-conceived ideas about them..I mean, you said it yourself

I know it's ridiculous but I swear I'm not lying about what I saw. Few of my South Africans blamed it on them. But then other tribes participated in it which makes your assertion valid. People need to learn not to use ethnicity to judge people especially Nigerians on this forum. They are good at that and it kinda influence the election we did few months ago.

I'm not from igbo tribe but some Nigerians blame them for different things. It's not cool but it is the way things are in this country.
So because few of your friends blamed it on them, it's the absolute truth, right? You could have said Zuma Supporters, and that man had supporters around the country like no other president...you chose to go for tribe, which is understandable since you're Nigerian wink

Call it arrogant bafo but i don't back down not when I made effort to make research. My research isn't from reading articles online. It was from following South Africa twitter and pages on different platforms. I will reiterate what I said, I KNOW WHAT I SAW, believe it or not it won't nullify the fact that I saw things too.

And let's not argue anymore. I gat no beef with Zulu people. I love them and that's it.
Bro, if someone from that particular place is trying to tell you about it but you go and on about something you heard or read about and even insist that person listens to you because you know better is the height of arrogance and delusion...LOL, And what did exactly did you see? That the person looting was Zulu? How can you even tell?

We're here in south Africa and know one can tell you who stared the lootings but everyone can tell how it all started, but someone from far flung Nigeria apparently knows

No madam, I didn't claim to know you better, I was just standing on what I know based on my research.
Lol, research which is not even official or credible, hit us with credible sources that say the lootings were started by Zulu people, not gossip from Venda friends from UJ.

My emphasis was on the recent one in 2019 not the first xenOphobic attack, you see why I said you don't understand my point. If you know me well, I'm not the kind of NIGERIAN that blame people based on tribes. What started this argument was to educate a Nigerian who claimed to háte Zulu people which I think is not right cos I like them and their cultural activities.

I merely stated what I got from my research, emphasis on RESEARCH. Was I the one that blamed ZULU people, no cos I wasn't there to witness it and even if I was there, I might not be able to know who's who.

You said people don't blame tribes over there and I used the looting spree as a good example to discredit what you said. No country is free from tribal!sm just that Nigeria seem to be the number one in Africa from what I have seen so far.
what you don't seem to get is, nothing can be traced on a tribe with regards to these lootings. nothing, People in Tshwane and Vereeniging can't be looting and the same lootings be blamed on Zulu people, it's ridiculous

I'm telling you what I got from my research and you are somehow adamant to accept it. I can't know a country more than the citizens and that's why I involved few citizens in my research. I have nothing against Zulu people. Ngithanda Amazulu but truth must be told.

Gauteng is a cosmopolitan province but we cannot overrule the fact that it is dominated by Zulu and Batswana people. Due to the peculiar personality people believe Zulu people to have, I think that might be the reason why they blame them for some things.
And I'm telling you of what I know by experience, what I've seen by my own eyes NOT some article I've read online, surely I ought to be the one telling you, no the other way around..Your arrogance is offputting.

Gauteng is not dominated by Amzulu le Batswana...see another mistake?

Secondly you have no business telling me about the personality of people you've never met. It's like me saying Hausa people I l;like this and like that, when I can't even differentiate them from a common Nigerian

Truth is bitter bra. What caused the looting? Was it not because Zuma was arrested and detained in Estcourt jail. People wanted to protest and the bad ones took advantage of it to LOOT. The looting started there and spread to other places. Mostly in KZN and I think some part of Gauteng. Limpopo people made different posts to encourage their folks not to be like others. I saw everything cos my venda friends mentioned me on those posts. I'm not saying RSA has the level of tribalism we have in Nigeria but y'all have the tiny portion of it.
I'm not Zulu so why would I be bitter? What I hate is someone sitting behind a computer and then acting like they understand the little nuances of a place they've never been to. The Xenophobic attacks started in 2008 way before Zuma was even arrested what was the reason back then? Zulu people again?

Secondly, how sure are you, these attacks weren't already happening in various places around Gauteng before Zuma was even arrested?

And I ask again, how do you pinpoint who Zulu and who's not in a place like Gauteng?

You are just falling into the usual trap of Nigerian reasoning...blaming things on tribes, that's not how work on this side

Pedi people don't reside in Mafikeng.. They're in Limpopo, Gauteng, and Mpumalanga.

You'll only find very few of them in other provinces, like me that is based in Durban.
You quoted someone that believes he knows everything there is to know about SA, I saw that too but decided to ignore him. Mafikeng is made up of mostly Tswanas and Sothos ba Pedi bako Limpopo

Was I telling you about your country bafo? You got it all wrong wena. When xenophobia broke out and some Africans were affected, I decided to know the main reason why people were angry. In the midst of it all, I made my friends but I saw what South Africans from other tribes said about Zulu people. Yes, Nigerians might have blamed only Zulu people cos virtually majority only know of Zulu tribe but not me and that was because I took my time out and make research on things I should know. My level adviser was studying his PhD in UJ then. He helped me with the research too. My South African friends did as well. I saw everything they said. Gauteng is where it all started but the people that started it were Zulu before others joined.

What I noticed about South Africans is that they tend to blame Zulu people for most things, just like Nigerians do to igbo people (I'm not igbo).
Hell yeah, you're telling me about my own country guy, and you're insisting on things you have no clue about
How do you pinpoint who's Zulu and who's not in a place like Gauteng? Let's start there

Bro, only your people are blaming Zulu people, never heard of such here and I'm not even Zulu. Xenophobic attacks started on complains from all South Africans and then went haywire because of criminal elements

I asked a polite question I even told Samantha not to take it personal .

This is the impression I got from friends that stay in SA.All I wanted was to be answered and corrected if im wrong and not to engage in a quarrel .Besides I asked Samantha and not you,do have a great day.
Your question is not polite at all, it's a continuation of this smear campaign, this misinformation and half-truths, and this weird obsession you people have for SA men, if really you're looking for loafers, look no further than your own countrymen who do nothing in SA but stan in groups of 10 in Hillbrow pavements and make noise the whole day while we go to work.

Haven't you noticed something about a lot of Nigeria men and in particular on nairaland or social media, when the people or women they are interested in them reject them they normally go from complementing them to insults or throwing around stereotypes to bring down that group grin. Very weak mentality. Even with their women are not left out of this, they are quick to trash-talk them as soon as some foreign skank sings praises for them, more than likely a paid promo ofcourse, because that is not beneath them. Their need to be validated by foreign women seems to overide their senses. They cannot except that they are not everyone's cup of tea, and most people are into their own kind.
The insults man, the insults! you're right especially the men, kuthiwa nges'Xhosa "banomolomo omanzi"..it's like their default settings are set on insulting

Okay. Now there is this question I want to ask please do not take it personal .

Is it true that average SA girl already is a grandma at the age of 30?. with multiple babies from different men?

And that in every 10 SA girl,8 has been raped or sexually molested ?

And the men just like to loaf around drinking and making babies without being responsible adults.
If that were the case, who are the engineers, trashmen, teachers, laborers, miners, policemen, soldiers, doctors, blue-collar workers, security guards etc then ...if all SA men were all loafers and babymakers?
actually, lemme flip this around...
All Nigerian men are scammers, drug traffickers, fake pastors, ritualists, etc etc, tell me how that sounds
