Hi everyone, I’ve been seeing something lately and I really need clarity. Some private universities in Nigeria are now admitting HND holders directly into MBA or MSc programmes — no PGD required. Even people with third class degrees are getting in too. At first it sounded like a great opportunity, but now I’m wondering... Is this something that could cause problems in the future? Or is it a legit path that more people just don’t know about? Will the Master’s certificate still hold weight — like for government jobs, international opportunities, or academic upgrades? Are there any limitations that come with skipping the PGD stage? And is it even right for schools to allow this — or is it just business for them? Please, if you’ve been through this or know someone who has, let’s talk. I believe a lot of HND holders are silently confused about this. Thanks in advance. |
Congratulations 🎊 Not everyone has such opportunity, so we create such environment for our children and children children to not go through steps we've passed |
Nigeria awards that individuals are asked to pay for it, there's nothing special about it if paid for. Everybody fit print award and send delivery man to present it ceremonially |
Which PPA is paying such amount of money in adamawa, let's be realistic pls |

Until the victim family comes out to confess how much million naira they paid to the kidnappers to rescue their family member. I don't believe anything from Nigeria armed forces |

NOUN really needs to be renamed, that name comes with different kinds of stigma. You'll not understand until you hear someone say they graduated from National Open University. Na only civil servants really de enjoy the university |
Just as expected anyway, nobody is surprised. .....vvv |
Someone with a Nairaland account and access to AI is suddenly screaming about how Nigeria’s university admission system is broken. That’s rich. Before you criticize how schools give admission, understand what you're talking about. Schools are not just for learning. They're massive investments, some private universities cost hundreds of billions to build and maintain. You think someone who poured billions into a university is going to wait for your ideal fairness before filling seats? Be serious. If you really want to fix the system, start with the structure. Maybe scrap JAMB entirely and rebuild. But don’t sit on the internet like an activist without context, throwing shades at institutions built by people who actually risked something |
Rest in peace, Muhammadu Buhari. You were once a symbol of hope — a man many believed would bring discipline, integrity, and reform. But somewhere along the way, that hope faded. Under your leadership, many Nigerians felt unheard, unseen, and forgotten. We can't ignore the pain your silence and policies caused. The economy struggled, insecurity worsened, and the people you swore to protect carried the weight of broken promises. Still, death humbles us all. In the end, you're just a man — and like every man, you now answer to a higher power. May God judge you fairly, and may your soul find rest. |
If the military cannot—or refuses to—reveal the face of the so-called criminal, maybe it’s because they themselves are compromised. That money could easily be ₦50 million. Yet they snap the photo without showing the suspect’s face, claim it’s just ₦13 million, and cover it up with a story that he “tried to disarm a soldier.” A supposed kidnapper, already in hand and leg cuffs, tried to disarm a fully armed soldier? Make it make sense. Think deeply about this. Now, no one knows who the kidnapper really is—not even his alleged gang members. Even his own team can't confirm if he’s truly one of them. Something smells off. Every official story from any Nigeria authority always get one kind k-leg. |
Everyone has a reason for a new state, being in government is not easy Sha. |
Hello family, quick question for those who know how NYSC postings work... What are the actual criteria a company must meet to be eligible to receive NYSC corps members? I run a registered business with: – 4 full-time staff – 2 contract workers – A physical office – Ongoing operations in real estate & commerce But I’m wondering if things like CAC registration, tax, company size, or industry type affect eligibility. Anyone here hosted corps members before? Or know the process? Kindly share. I’m open to learning and doing it right. Thanks in advance.

My landlord is oweing some refund sef because I paid some old bill on the meter |
Free the hostages. It's that simple. If Hamas truly stands for Palestine, then the least they can do is protect their people by releasing the hostages. Every young, radicalized Palestinian becomes a potential terrorist — and sooner or later, the consequences will catch up with them. It's only a matter of time. |
Let’s be honest—JAMB is beginning to overdo it. Yes, regulation is important, but when a body starts wielding power in a way that frustrates the future of young people, it becomes a problem. Not every irregularity is fraud. Sometimes, people genuinely go through a process they thought was right—especially when schools themselves are involved. 🎓 Many students were admitted through unconventional routes like part-time, distance learning, or fast-track programs. Some didn’t even know they were supposed to go through JAMB regularization until years later. Whose fault is that? The institution should take responsibility—not the student alone. 🧾 And now, someone graduates, gets a certificate, serves the country through NYSC, and suddenly JAMB says “you’re not valid”? How? ✅ What JAMB should be doing is working with schools to clean up the system—not waking up and declaring someone’s future invalid just because their name wasn’t in one database years ago. ✅ And any school that truly admitted a student should be the one defending that student, not leaving them to carry the burden alone. This is how you break the spirit of hardworking Nigerians—people who already struggled to go to school without government help. No scholarship, no subsidy, no support. Now after they finish, you tell them they’re not “genuine”? Let’s not forget: power is not forever. JAMB should focus on fixing the process, not punishing people retroactively. Nigeria should be a place where people feel encouraged to get an education—not punished for it. |
Can we talk about this habit in Nigeria where every new government comes in and starts renaming institutions instead of building new ones? It’s like the only idea they have is to repaint, rename, and rebrand. Not to create or improve anything meaningful. Universities, airports, roads, stadiums… things that already have identity and legacy, they just slap a new name on it and call it achievement. It’s not only lazy. It’s wicked. Look at other countries. Oxford University in the UK has carried the same name for over 900 years. Harvard University in the US has kept its name for nearly 400 years. Even places like Times Square in New York or Buckingham Palace in London still carry the names that shaped their history. You don’t see them changing names every election cycle. You're not honoring anyone by doing that. You’re erasing history and confusing the next generation. Prestige isn’t built by renaming. It’s built by vision, legacy, and impact. |
