Dailyparrot: This argument is endless but the truth is, a driver driving his own car and with good saving culture will make something tangible out of this business.
It should not be an all in all but it helps to provide quick capital or money for other things.
If the purpose it serves is paying the bills, then that's not bad. It's not everyone that's able to pay the bills. Even in America, most of them work their ass out just to be able to pay their bills. My brother everywhere is hard. These days if you get any hustle that can pay ur bills and still put food on your table pls be thankful to God. I have a friend in the United States who use to send me money before but she's now complaining that things are hard too. The hardship is everywhere, you must work to chop... The truth is no matter how people come to this thread with their laziness mentality to discourage people there are still people who are making money from this hustle and don't even care. We don't pray to drive forever. The goal is to drive and setup a good business or move out of the country. It's not a bad idea if u still raise money from this hustle to start business while driving will now be once in a while thing. |

Enkidu70: Hard times. I predicted this shît more than two years ago.
With the way naija is going, people killing their cars for peanut fares will eventually regret it when they realise it's not possible to upgrade or to even import same old models as tokunbo anymore. Naira-Dollar will serve everyone breakfast by next year. A lot of Nigerian drivers will become danfo people, they will end up telling stories about how they once owned cars hmm |

Felicity001: At the bolded, this is the mentality that is killing us as a nation, everyone wants quick money, fast cash to solve urgent needs, pls send me urgent 2k, 1k and so on and so forth. Nobody wants to invest time, patient or energy knowing fully well that over time all out together will yield plenty of fruits but all want it quickly, as fast as possible reason we have high crime rate in our society these days.
Children finish writing waec and venture into riding if Keke, korope and okada.
University graduates come out if school and the first thing in their mind is not even nysc or business that will be counter productive over time but all they want to do is apply for job to start earning immidately, many nowadays are into Uber simply because it brings in quick cash unknowingly they're just killing their sharp brain cells because driving up and down morning till night to deliver weekly doesn't make one think straight.
Look at cheerfulgiver for instance, he has lost his sense of belonging, he now talks with so much hate, envy and strive inside of him. No form of respect for even people his entire generation combine can't fit into their shoes yet he talks to same persin just anyhow. dru23 has lost his humbleness and sensibility for good, all he thinks now is how one of his drivers might be planning on not paying, or not using the oil he gave the driver for serving of the car, or how he wants to plan a clean sheet move if retrieving his car after a bad experience on the road
Bro there are a lot of opportunities out there only that many of you have been so blinded that your IQ clouded so you can't really see or think straight anymore.
Take some break for say 1 month and see if your eyes won't be open to other more profitable ventures. oh no, wish this place is a telegram or whatsapp group where admin can kick someone out easily. You don't deserve to be here anymore... |

Corto: This is a free forum
And you don't need any specialised training to drive so long you've got normal reflexes and commonsense. Go to any organisation, the drivers and cleaners are usually the least paid staff. The drivers in those organizations are quite different from the ones here. Even the least person here earn more than the main staffs in those organizations you're talking about. |

Corto: If you're as smart as you claim, how did you end up a common driver?
Something is fundamentally wrong with your life bro, no wonder you feel the need to constantly brag to your fellow drivers here and hurl insults at them. This obviously isn't normal... what do you mean by a common driver and why are you here in the first place? |
