Romance / 6 Common Reasons Why Women Cheat In A Relationship by Kingdombase(m): 1:46am On Jun 16, 2020
If you are a woman and your are reading this wondering why I’m only writing about women who cheat, I want you to know that I'd be writing a follow up post stating Reasons Why Men Cheat.

But for today, let's just focus on reasons why some women cheat in a relationship.

There is a common belief that it is only the men who cheat on their partners and that women are always more faithful in the relationship.

Well, let me ask you this very simple question: Who are all those men cheating with exactly? Their fellow men, or women?

The simple truth is that cheating on a partner while in a relationship is a question of individual values and morals.

To help us answer these questions, let us...

Family / Impact Of Peer Pressure On Teenagers And High School Students by Kingdombase(m): 1:34am On Jun 16, 2020
The hold that peer pressure has on the youths of today is more than the hold that parents have on their children and we all know that.

That is why it is easier for a young man or woman to actually walk out of their parents presence than to walk out from friends.

Every young man or woman has this burning desire to belong to a caucus of some sort. The urge to "belong" is so strong that they sometimes don't care about the consequences of belonging to...

Religion / Rejected But Contented by Kingdombase(m): 1:56pm On May 30, 2018
This is a true story that I'd be sharing with you in a bit.

Recently, I was invited for a talk show audition somewhere around Magodo, Lagos. I applied to audition as I wanted the little cash gift that came with the offer. I prepared, went to get a clean hair cut and was anticipating the day to come.

The D-day finally came and I stepped out of my house looking all 'pengged'. I kinda found it difficult to locate the venue, so I decided to take an Uber vehicle to the venue believing that what I have on me would be able to cover the cost of the transportation fare.

I was shell shocked when we (the Uber driver and I) got to the venue of the auditioning and the driver told me how much I'd have to pay (it was calculated by the kilometers we drove, the fare was three times what I had on me.

What would I do now? This was the question that I kept asking myself. By this time, the driver was already suspecting that something was wrong. I hated public embarrassment so I had to tell the driver to turn around so that I'll be able to get to the atm machine we saw just at the estate gate.

I had to withdraw all I had in that account as I don't know how I'd get back home. By this time, I had enough to pay the driver. We drove back to the venue and I alighted. As I was starring at the big brown gate of the venue, I reminded myself how great I am, then I stepped in.

I met other young guys and girls all looking flashy and classy who also came for the same thing and immediately, inferiority complex began to overwhelm me. I began to feel inferior because I was putting on a simple blue and white checkered shirt, a navy blue pants, a black shoe and an ash coloured suit. I felt uncomfortable. I had to keep reminding myself that 'I am great', 'I am a better person', 'I am above and not below', ' I am the head and not the tail' etc. I suddenly felt better and very comfortable.

I was there for about 4 hours doing practically nothing as people were much and I came in real late. The convener then asked me to come the next day as he likes my composure. I accepted his offer to come the next day, so I left. After about 2 hours on the road, I got back home feeling tired, hungry and felt this slight headache. I went to bed that night hoping for a better day ahead.

Fast forward till the next day, I prepared myself again and set out to the venue of the auditioning. This time around, I decided to use the public transport system. I boarded the wrong bus today, Oh My God!!!

I consoled myself with the fact that I'm going to get a spot in the talk show and I'm going to be given the cash gift for participating. I smiled within myself as I retraced my way to the exact location. This day also, I got there late and as I entered, the convener saw me and welcomed me.

He began to give us tips to the questions that we are going to be asked. This is when I realized that the program has a lot to do with alcoholic drinks and they were interested in people who are alcohol takers. I had this unpleasant feeling in my stomach instantly as I've vowed never to take alcohol again.

At this point, I've lost every enthusiasm, and all I wanted was to go home; picked or not. The convener then told us to lie about who we are. He told us to paint a VERY BIG picture of ourselves before the judges of the audition. Kai! I thought to myself 'is this life?'

Eventually, we were led to the auditioning room. It looks really cool though. It had the setting of a multinational conference room. They even served us cold bottled water. The audition then began.

Everyone was asked to introduce themselves, this is where I began to hear big lies upon lies. These other guys for the program can lie o, they were just saying big big things that were rather too impossible to believe.

I had to tell myself to be truthful. If they can't take me for who I am, then they shouldn't take me for who I'm not. It got to my turn and I told them the truth about myself. I was happy saying it and I felt contented within myself. After the introductions, I was asked to step outside the room to be addressed only to be told that though my composure was awesome, but I have been dropped because I said I was a blogger, teacher and a public speaker.

Everyone who heard it was like; bro, you should have said you are a lecturer or a banker or something like that, but I told them that I can't lie about who I am. Its either they take me for who I am or they drop me. Also I cannot take alcohol.

I felt contented even though I was rejected. I felt at peace even though I spent more than my budget to get there.

That very evening before I left the venue, the convener saw me and was like; bro don't worry, I have a better job that you would prefer than this. I just don't know why I like you than most of the other guys, but for this next job, you wouldn't have to audition. I'd make sure you're chosen.

Today, I am telling you this story to encourage you to never conform to the lies of this world just for peanuts. You are made for greater things.

If they can't take you for who you are, then they're not worth your time.

See you at the top.

Religion / Story From My Past To My Present by Kingdombase(m): 2:16pm On May 06, 2018
This wasn’t part of my initial plan to be a writer, I have always wanted to be an engineer, I have always loved fixing damaged appliances and joining wires together, but I found out during my life’s journey, the power of writing. That power in books is what I’m about to leave to you now, my future kids.

I began life as a humble, young boy who was never far from his parents, especially my mom. I learnt how to cook from a very young age, I studied how my dad dealt with situations in the home, and I admired him for never raising his hands on my mother whenever they have a misunderstanding.

Peer pressure stepped in – I began to want what my mates were having, I began to want the street’s recognition. I began to distance myself from my parents and their teachings. I wanted to become a rap star; a mega super star.

Back then in the streets where I grew up from, there used to be a musical producer, whose name I would withhold for anonymity reasons. I wanted to be like him; he had fans, friends, nice clothes, fancy shoes, chains, girls and he was young, though a little older than I was.

I envied every step he took, I craved to be like him, I so wanted to be his friend. Fortunately for me, my elder brother knew where he lived. I begged my elder brother to take me there to just have a glimpse of his personal life. Days rolled to weeks and weeks to month, finally, my elder brother agreed to take me there.

I couldn’t explain the joy I had when we journeyed to his house. We got there and I met my “then-idol” producing a song for someone. I immediately loved him the more (no homo though). He was tall, fair, braided his hair, with muscles – boy! I wanted to be like him the more.

After he was done with the production, he came to us and we exchanged pleasantries. My elder brother was also a rapper then, so they knew each other, they had done a job together prior to that time. My brother introduced me to him and the rest became history.

When we were about to take our leave, I noticed empty bottles of red wines and other alcoholic drinks there, and I deduced that he was a person who drinks a lot. I immediately had a plan.

The next day, I decided to visit him alone since I already knew his place. On my way to his studio, I bought two bottles of red wine for him (I wasn’t into alcohol drinks then, I haven’t even tasted one). I got to his studio, and presented my “royal offerings” to him. He was surprised at my gesture, but at the same time he was happy that I brought the drinks as they were his favourite brand.

Immediately, we clicked. We started talking as though we’ve known each other for long, we just became friends. I started visiting him freely (but each time I go, I take bottles of red wine to him). He then started taking me with him to clubs, bars, and his shows and practically everywhere he goes. I had learnt how to take hot drinks and how to smoke.

The one thing I never did and haven’t done and by the grace of God will never do, was to lay with “body-peddlers”. We then did a song together, it gained attention within the streets and I started going on my own shows. People began to know me as an artiste, the name “X-HODUZ” began to take over the streets. I was among the first few in my area who successfully infused rap tunes into street beats.

My sound was accepted within my area and I began to feature in so many people’s music. It was a good feeling. I started gaining grounds of my own; I started seeing my pictures in posters for upcoming shows. I even met few upcoming acts in our studio who said I was their role model. I was then nominated for an award for the best upcoming act with good use of social media (though I didn’t win it). All these things happened within the space of 2 years.

Things happened so fast that I neglected seeking God’s face. Though I was still attending church, but my heart was far away from God. I was carried away by all the things that were around me. Did I also mention that it was within this period that I had my first taste of being in a woman? It all began to happen that I grew deeper in sin and immoralities.

By this time, I had learnt musical production, so I began producing songs for people as well as producing my own songs. I was already an expert in taking alcohol that I almost surpassed those who taught me how to drink. I started spending all the money I got from music to buy drinks. I bought drinks almost on a daily basis; I spend all my income because I believed that more will come the next day. I was advised to open a bank account and have little savings but I was reluctant to do so.

Finally, I gained admission into the polytechnic to study Mechanical Engineering. I thought I would sink deeper into the kind of life I was living. I settled in to my new environment, but I was surrounded my serious minded students who wanted nothing more than to study. I was equally forced to study and within a few months, I was already becoming a popular figure in school because of my exceptional abilities in a course titled Engine drawing (our main course).

After my first year, I decided to go for my final registration, but I received one of the biggest shocks of my life – I was not qualified to study Engineering because of my Secondary school result (WAEC). This new weakened my and everyone that knows me in school. My course mates helped me in writing letters to the school to allow me continue in the hope that I’d sit for another WAEC and clear my papers. The school refused and so, I had to drop out.

I applied again for another discipline, and I was given admission again to study Building Technology. All my friends at Mechanical Engineering were very happy for me, and I was happier for myself as I wouldn’t go back to the streets to continue my wayward kind of life.

I made new friends, they were more serious than I was and we formed a team of reading buddies. We read together at night classes, we attended tutorials together and we basically studied together. It was fun for me as I saw a new kind of life that was more inspiring, more educating and less stress. This is what I’ve always wanted, to be able to express myself without pressure.

I was elected as the new ‘general class governor’. This was how I became closer to my lecturers, older class governors and some members of the senate of the school. This appointment changed my perspective about life as I was shown a better and easier way to live. All my wrongs were corrected, I stopped smoking, stopped taking alcohol drinks and I was drawn more to God through the help of a then “online friend” who I met while still on the streets of Lagos.

Though, I am not yet a graduate, as I’ve only completed my National Diploma. I know that my life is heading for greatness. I want to use my story to inspire lots of youths who are going through similar situations; there is no gain in championing the streets while living a wayward life. There is a hope of greatness for you only if you surround yourself with great people.

I hope to continue this story with you all when I attain that which I am setting my sight on. You are an original version of yourself; do not shortchange your life in the quest to be like someone else.

See you at the top… You are great…

Religion / Powerful Prayer Points (PPP) – May 2018 Edition by Kingdombase(m): 5:50pm On May 05, 2018
Thank you to everyone who are praying for us. I believe that something great is going to happen in our lives this month through this month's declarations.

Our monthly powerful prayer points (PPP) is really going strong. God have been working wonders through these acts and declarations of faith. Therefore, we are going to continue doing this.

Prayer is vital in the life of every Christian. It is our only link to Heaven. Like we said last month, the most powerful thing you can do for yourself, your loved ones and anyone around you is to pray for everyone and in every situations. This month, we shall continue to pray together, study the scriptures and declare positive words into our lives.

Let us carefully study each prayer point with its biblical scripture and pray with it from the depth of our hearts. May all our prayers be accepted and answered through Christ our Lord.

PRAYER POINT 1: Father, bless me with the grace to see myself as You see me. Break down the walls of fear and pride that is hindering me from knowing who I am when i accepted Jesus as my Lord and saviour. Open my eyes, Oh Lord to love You as You love me, in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT 2: Father, let your glory shine upon my life, my career, my marriage, my family, my academics, my business, in Jesus name. (Isaiah 60: 1)

PRAYER POINT 3: The Lord, my God who created me, named me and saved me from the darkness. I am His property, therefore, when I walk through rivers, I will not drown. When I go through fire, the fire will not burn me. In Jesus name. (Isaiah 43:1-3)

PRAYER POINT 4: Father, I declare that the floodgates of Heaven be opened unto me and my family members, and let Your blessings that are more than human imaginations pour down to us. (Mal. 3:10)

PRAYER POINT 5: Father, I declare that my finances are blessed with Your abundance. Open the doors of opportunities to me so that I may prosper. Enlarge my territories and make me reach new heights, in Jesus name. (1Chro. 4:10)

I strongly believe that if and when you take these prayer points seriously, God would move into actions in your life. Until we come again on the first day of June, remain blessed.
Religion / Amazing Things That Happens When We Pray by Kingdombase(m): 5:34pm On May 05, 2018
Prayer has a manner, just as Jesus said in Matthew 6 from verse 9 to 10. Everything we do has a manner; there is a table manner which regulates how we eat, there is a manner of approach which helps us to be on our best behavior when we go to meet people, there is also manner of dressing which tells us how to dress and the kind of clothes to wear to different functions.

In one of our previous articles, we defined prayer as a spiritual exercise through which we communicate with God, our Heavenly Father. It (Prayer) is a bridge between Heaven and earth. It is a bridge that connects our spirit man to Heaven. Since God is a spirit, the only way we can communicate with Him is also to be in the spirit through the use of Prayer.

Each time we pray, there are certain things that happen in the spiritual realm. Though we may not be able to see those things happening physically immediately, but some things are definitely happening spiritually.

The Bible teaches us that without faith, it is impossible to please God. Now, what is faith? I will like to define faith as an act of believing a thing even when there are no evidence of those things. The Bible makes us to understand that even if we have faith as small as that of a mustard seed, we would tell the mountain to be uprooted and be buried deep in the sea.

Whenever we pray, we have to have faith that God will, and have answered our prayers. With such a conviction, God’s hands will be moved into actions. God already knows everything we are passing through, so our prayers are not to inform Him of the happenings but to invite Him into our situations.

The hosts of Heaven moves into actions each time we pray. Some of the reasons why most people do not get answers to their prayers is because they do not pray in accordance with God’s will. They pray with the ignorance of God. No wonder Jesus taught us Christians how to pray; using TheLord’s Prayer as a practical template of how a prayer should look like.

Things That Happens When we Pray

. We invite God into our situation.
. We acknowledge that God is our only source of strength and help.
. We communicate with God, just as we do with our earthly parents.
. We are rest assured of a divine answer and encounter.
. We become war generals, because heaven sends in troops on our behalf.
. We have the upper hand in the battle of our lives.
. We end up becoming victorious.
. We exercise our power and authority in Christ.
. We are sure of victory.
. We become light-hearted and less burdened.
. When we pray, we subject the enemy to frustration.

I Love Generous Girls...

Especially The Cheerful Giver...
Noted
Religion / When God Doesn’t Make Sense by Kingdombase(m): 7:14pm On Apr 17, 2018
Have you ever been in a situation where you begin to question the validity of God’s work in your life? Have you ever wondered and doubted the presence of God in areas of your life? If yes, I want you to know that God knows everything that you’ve passed through. He knows your sorrows and he records every drop of tears that have ever fallen down your cheeks (Psalm 56:8-9).

Many young believers, even older ones too, do not know that there are some times in a man’s life when situations don’t just add up. There are certain times when God seems so far away and when He doesn’t make sense. In such cases, the best virtues we can have as Christians are patience, hope and faith.

The Bible teaches us that God’s timing is the best. The Bible also makes us to understand that God has plans for each and every one of us; His plans are for good and not of evil. We have to know that every situation we find ourselves is scripted by god Himself. God knows the beginning from the end, even when God seems 100,000 miles away from our affairs; He is still close enough to touch us.

Some years ago, a young friend of mine went to the seminary to become a priest and to gather more knowledge on the Bible. I was happy for him because he was someone who we both lived waywardly in the past. I wished him well and encouraged him to do his best. After about 6 years, he was thrown out of the seminary for what he knows nothing about. He came back home depressed, broken and embarrassed because everyone around him is already referring to him as a priest. He cried for months and decided never to ever attend a church again. He was pained to that point.

Everyone around him tried to persuade him to reverse his decisions but he refused. He had lost everything; his friends, his family, his time, his resources, his passion, his hope and faith in the Lord, he lost patience with everything and everyone around him. I felt so bad for him that I decided to visit him at home, I met him sober and drunk whilst embracing a bottle of beer. I had no idea what he was going through, but I had to try to encourage him.

We discussed extensively and intimately, he poured out his heart and mind to me and I didn’t know when I began to cry for him. I was almost at the point of giving up myself, because things weren’t actually going well with me at that time. I broke down too, felt bad for my own situations and began to question God, WHY ARE THESE THINGS HAPPENING TO ME?

It took the grace of God for me to be strong at that time. Finally, we prayed together and I left for my place of work (I worked in a factory then). That very morning for I was on the night shift, I thought deeply and I began to reminisce all what God have done for me. I remembered all I have overcame and all the battles I have conquered through the divine help of God. I took it upon me to convince my friend to restate his decisions. To the glory of God, my friend not only grew back his faith, he also became a stronger Christian.

From the little story I just shared, we can deduce that people who have lost their faith and believe in God because of one situation or the other find it difficult to return back to God. They feel pain and uncertainties about serving God. The greatest danger for people who have experienced such tragedy or worse is that the devil will maximize their pains before them, and minimize the presence and power of God working in them.

If you find yourself walking a lonely path with different struggles of life, with different challenges coming your way, if you find yourself without a helper, if you find yourself asking the questions; Why me Lord? I am a dedicated worker in Church, why are all these happening to me? I want to let you know that God is present. Do not confuse His silence for disinterest in your affairs; He is silent to know how you would react to such situations. Remember that in an examination hall, that favourite teacher of yours who always talks in class would be silent to see how well you would do in the examinations.

God have promised never to leave us (Matthew 28:20), hold on to that promise. Hold on to His faithfulness. God’s word can and will never go back to Him without fulfilling its purpose.

This article is written specifically to people who have been in situations where God feels distant from them. I know you are hurting, I know you are tired of serving God. I know that things aren’t working the way you have planned. I believe I understand your pains, fears and struggles. If your children have betrayed you or your loved one in whom you have placed so much hope and trust in have broken that trust, I know how that feels. If you can’t explain how you’ve lost your good paying job even when you are a dedicated worker to the kingdom of God, or you can’t fathom how fire have engulfed your business place even after sprinkling the Holy water and holy oil on a daily basis. These examples are endless, but my work for you today is “God is in control”. Allow God to drive you to your place of destiny and you’d laugh at the end. Be still and know that He is God – (Psalm 46:10).

Imagine you’re in a situation where you are merely hanging on to a thin rope and you are about to fall off a very high mountain, then you call on God to save you and His response is “Let go of that rope and I’d catch you”? You then look down and you can’t see his hands or a support below you. Imagine the fear that would grip your mind at that time. If it were me, I’d rather try to reach for my phone to call for help, or better still ignore that voice of God and call out to any other person for help. In such a case, I know that it would be extremely difficult to let go of the rope. Even strong believers would find it difficult to obey God at such a critical moment. But God have told us to trust Him even when the odds are against us.

If we can trust the public bus driver with our lives to commute us safely to our destinations, most people even sleep in the bus and feel relaxed, why do we find it so hard to trust God?
If we can trust and believe our family doctor over issues of our health, why can’t we trust God who is the creator of our lives?
If we can trust or investors to invest our finances wisely, why can’t we trust God with our tithes and offerings in church?
If we can trust in the promises of our rich uncles and aunts, why can’t we trust in God’s promises?

Finally, I want us to understand that there is nothing God wants of us more than the exercise of our faith. He wants us to trust Him at all times even when circumstances do not warrant such.

Just as Psalm 34:17-19 says; “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all”

It is a known fact that God loves a cheerful giver. He loves givers who give with the right attitude and mindset. When giving, your attitude and mindset matters a lot, not just to the person you are giving to but to you also, the giver.

Generosity comes in different forms. Some generosity comes completely unintentional, some are strategically planned out, some are reluctantly offered, some are manipulative in nature, and some are also as an act of self-service to gain some attention or advantage.

The biblical form of generosity is not in any way in the form of any of the above mentioned forms of generosity. It is given intentionally with a heart full of joy – 2Corinthians 9:7.

For someone to be called a cheerful giver, it means the person is always delighted to give, no matter the situation. The person gives, not grudgingly, but freely, opened-minded and happily. For example: When Paul gives because he sees Joseph giving, it means Paul is not giving out of cheerfulness, but because it would reflect poorly on him if he doesn’t give (the names mentioned in the example were merely used for easy assimilation, we’re sorry if any of our readers bears either of the names).

A cheerful giver would always remember that giving is the correct and most honorable response to God’s love and blessings over his life. He gives because he loves God and because he understands that it is better to give than to receive.

"The Law of Cheerful Generosity is one where the giver is not subjected to complain and bitterness, rather it is given out from a thankful heart and a heart full of joy".

John C. Maxwell in one of his books wrote this on generosity: “How could God feel in any way drawn towards a Christian who is willing that Heaven be bankrupted on his behalf then give as little as possible in return? The answer is, He isn’t drawn to such a person”.

That statement is entirely true. I know this because as a parent, how would you feel when you give so much to your first child because he asked of a thing, and in return he refuses to give to his younger siblings?

I wrote this in one of our previous posts, “we are supposed to be achannel-way of God’s blessings and not a reservoir of it”. We are blessed so as to be a blessing to others. Our prayers are answered so that in turn, we can be the answer to other people’s prayers.

God is a God of love. He gave us His ONLY son to purchase our salvation out of His love for humanity (you & I). He also gave us the Holy Spirit as our guide, comforter and teacher out of His immense love for us. He equally gave us His promise of eternal life with Him in Heaven. He gave us various other promises in the Holy Bible out of His abundant love for us. How can we not give back to Him?

As long as we keep sharing and giving out generously to the needy with faith and great joy in our hearts, God will keep on supplying our needs – Mark 6: 32-44. At least, God does not promise to solve all of our problems, but He did promise to supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus – Philippians 4:19.

God’s purpose for humanity is that we serve Him fully and that we generously give to the needy ones in the process. Whenever we have the opportunity to give, take it. In fact, look for opportunities to be a blessing to others. Generous givers always have the knowledge that money isn’t everything. They know that money cannot give true happiness and satisfactions. They know that money is simply a means to an end, and not the end itself.

Allow God to use you mightily. God cannot use people who tightly hold on to material things. Learn to let go of material things with ease, not reluctantly or grudgingly.

My prayer is that God will soften every hard heart, and He will bless us with the gift of divine generosity to be a blessing to the less privileged ones in the society.

Who is the Holy Spirit?

He is a member of the blessed trinity. The third person of the trinity. He is equal in power and majesty with the Father and the Son. He is eternal, just as the Father and the Son is eternal (Hebrews 9:14).

. He is also Omniscience - (Psalm 139: 2-6 & 1 Corinthians 2:10)
. He is also Omnipresence - (Psalm 139: 7-10)

Religion / Dare To Dream Big Dreams by Kingdombase(m): 6:50pm On Mar 29, 2018
The greatest mindset which is common to every go-getter is the ability to Dream Big Dreams. Dreaming is free, so you’re allowed to dream it big. All great minds had to dream hilarious dreams before they worked that dream into a reality.

Imagine having no limitations. Imagine you have all the money in the world, all the educational certificates, all the human and natural resources; imagine having all these things in your possession. What kind of life would you carve out for yourself? Never be afraid to go after that life.

Everyone has a dream, but the size of the dream depends on individual’s ability to stretch it. Dreams are elastic; how far you can stretch it would determine the size of your achievements. Dreams are risky, if you can’t dare the impossible (challenging dreams), you can never accomplish even the little possible achievements. How far have you stretched yours?

Dreams are divine, every man has different races to run but only you can run yours better. No one else would understand your dreams better than you do, that is why it is very important we run with our dreams even when it looks stupid to others. Stand alone if you have to, run alone if no one wants to follow you, do all it takes to see that your dreams don’t forever remain a dream, work with it till it becomes a reality. When your dream finally becomes a reality, people then will start to follow your lead. But until then, do what you have to do, even if you do it alone – you will do great things when you start dreaming big.

“Always remember that you have within you, the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the impossible”

Children dream big: it’s part of their genetic set-up. If you are to ask a child what he would like to become when he grows older, you’d be surprised at their response. You will hear something like; I want to become a pilot, build 3 houses and 5 cars. You cannot take this attribute out from them. We can all as adults, learn a thing or two from children and the way they dream. Dreams are the touchstones of our character.

“If your dreams don’t scare you, then they’re not big enough…”

The only thing hindering you from achieving all that you’ve set your mind to achieve are the limitations you’ve set for yourself. The values of our dreams are not measured by the outcome, but by the inspiration that comes from the journey of achieving them.

What are your BIG dreams?

Is it to become the President of your nation?
Is it to become a pilot?
Is it to be a prolific writer and speaker?
Is it to be a great musician?
Is it to be the best footballer in the planet?
Is it to be a professional businessman?

Whatever your dreams are, do not give up along the way. Do not let the present story of your background put your back on the ground. You are never too young or too old to dream. Never make excuses as to why you cannot achieve your dreams; there is something greater and stronger in you than any difficult situation around you. Be the first to believe in you.

“Every dream is attainable and achievable; Dream it, Believe it, See it, Tell it, Plan it, Work with it and finally Enjoy it”

To get to the level of success we dream of, we would need to set new stronger boundaries, new company of friends, create self-awareness, develop more self-confidence, get a deeper understanding of who we are and what we want and be more committed.

Steps To Achieving Big Dreams

· First, understand and believe that you are unique.
· Write out your dreams. Make them plain and easily readable.
· Break out of your comfort zones.
· Break your long term goals into short term goals. Break them into small tasks you can do daily. Dreams are easily achieved this way.
· Attach deadlines to your dreams.
· People will discourage you along the way, but remain committed to your dreams. Perseverance is the key to great success.
· Focus more on your dreams and less on the challenges and difficulties.
· Don’t wait for anyone’s endorsements. Walk alone is you have to, stand alone if you have to.
· Express yourself freely in your own way. Don’t attempt things the way others attempts it, feel free to learn from your own experiences (though you have to plan well along the way).
· Take daily steps and tasks that ultimately lead to your dreams.
· Remember, you don’t have to be rich, famous or popular to achieve your dreams; you just have to be a person who believes in his dream.
· Learn to take responsibilities for your every action. This way, you will develop the hunger for more success.
· Be a reader. Readers are leaders. When you read articles written by wise authors, you not only learn new things, we also tap into the minds of these authors.
· Never underestimate yourself.
· It is good to be a dreamer, but it is better to be a dreamer and a planner.
· When the going gets tougher, you have to get tougher too.
. Above all, seek God's wisdom always

Religion / Managing The Deadly Venom: Anger by Kingdombase(m): 12:50am On Mar 10, 2018
Anger can be defined as a normal human emotion usually characterized by antagonism towards something or someone you feel or think has done wrong to you. Anger could be a good thing because it could be a motivating agent to help you find solutions to something you’re not happy about. Mainly, anger could be dangerous if it is expressed excessively.

Anger like we earlier said; is a normal human emotion that could involve a strong uncomfortable or hostile response to what or who triggered the feeling. When a person feels his or her boundaries are being violated, they tend to react in an angry manner. Anyone experiencing anger will also experience certain physical conditions like increased blood pressure, increased heart rate, increased adrenaline level amongst others.

We are going to be looking at Anger from the biblical perspectives though. The Bible teaches in Ephesians 4: 26-27 that “be angry and do not sin, do not let the sun go down on your anger”. From the scripture we just read, we can see that even God knows that we will get angry someday at some point in our lives, but something else followed that confirmation of our normal emotion, God said “...and do not sin, do not let the sun go down on your anger”, God knows that anger is a normal thing, but our reaction when we get angry is solely our choice to make.

Anger expresses itself in different formats – sarcasm, frustrations, depressions, aggression, verbal and silent cursing, hatred, pride, etc

Though, Anger is a normal feeling just as love and happiness are, but it is not a gift from God. It is simply a device of the devil to distract us from something great. The devil uses this device to make us sin. It may interest you to know that God, Jesus Christ, Angels even the Holy Spirit gets angry too. This reveals that we are truly created in God’s image and likeness.

Let’s quickly glance through some scriptures that prove what we just read.

God Gets Angry Too:

Exodus 20: 4-5 – “you shall not make for yourself an idol or any likeness (from manifestation) of what is in Heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth [as an object to worship]. You shall not worship them nor serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous (impassioned) God [demanding what is rightfully and uniquely mine], visiting the iniquity (sin, guilt) of the fathers on the children, to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me”

1 kings 11: 9-11 – “the Lord became angry with Solomon because his heart had turned away from the Lord, the God of Israel. The Lord appeared to him twice and commanded him not to follow other gods. But he did not obey the Lord’s command. Therefore, the Lord said to Solomon, ‘since this has been your choice and you have kept neither my covenant not the statutes I commanded you, I will tear the kingdom from you and give it to your servant”.

Psalm 78:59 – “when God heard this, He was enraged and utterly rejected Israel”.

Psalm 7:11 – “A righteous judge is God, His anger ever awaiting those who refuse to repent”.

Exodus 4:14 – “at this, the Lord became angry with Moses and said, ‘Haven’t you Aaron, your brother, the Levite? I know he speaks well. Look! He is coming to meet you”.

But, God gets angry each time a person or a nation goes against his initial plan for creation.

Jesus Christ Gets Angry Too:

Matthew 21:12 & Mark 11: 15-18 – “So Jesus went into the Temple and drove out all who were buying and selling in the Temple area. He overturned the tables of the money changers, and the stools of those who sold pigeons”.

Mark 3:5 – “Then Jesus looked around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart…”

Jesus Christ gets angry for the right reasons. His anger did not rise as a result of lame arguments or from selfish reasons. His anger had focus – injustice. Besides, Jesus Christ never lost control to anger. He mastered the art of mastery. And his anger had proper results.

Angels Get Angry Too:

Revelations 12: 7-8 – “war broke out in Heaven with Michael and his angels battling with the dragon. The dragon fought back with the angels, but were defeated and lost their place in Heaven”.

Exodus 23:21 – “be on your guard in His presence and listen to Him; do not rebel against the angel of the Lord, for He will not pardon your wrongdoing, because my name is in Him”.

When the Angels get angry, especially, Archangel Michael, it motivates Him fight evil.

The Holy Spirit Gets Angry Too:

Ephesians 4: 30-31 – “Do not sadden the Holy Spirit of God with which you were marked for the day of salvation. Do away with quarrelling, rage, anger, insults and every kind of malice”.

The Holy Spirit gets angered when we speak ill and abusive words. The Bible tells us not to grieve the Holy Spirit in us.

NB: Do not be quickly angered in your spirit, for anger lies in the bosom of fools (Ecclesiastes 7:9)…

Before you get angry unnecessarily, make sure that you’ve cross-checked the outcome and you’re okay with it, make sure you THINK about it properly before you act. Let us quickly look at an acronym that will help us to control and manage “ANGER”. The acronym; T-H-I-N-K.
T – is it TRUTHFUL
H – is it HELPFUL
I – is it INSPIRING
N – is it NECESSARY
K – is it KIND and KNOWLEDGEABLE

Forms Of Anger
Anger comes in two (2) different forms, these are as follows
:

1. Personal Anger: This type of anger is stored up inside. It is a kind of anger that is bottled up within a person. A person can just get angry over a thing or a situation, and therefore the person would start exhibiting series of violent acts. This form of anger births emotions like jealousy, frustration, revenge, hatred, vendetta, low self-esteem, looking down on other people, etc. There are times when people just get angry over nothing. This kind of anger can cause serious health issues like high blood pressure, heart related issues, e.t.c.

Some biblical scriptures that can help us overcome this form of anger are listed below:
Colossians 3:8 – “Well then, reject them all: anger, fury, slander, evil intentions, malice and let no abusive words be heard from your lips”.

James 1:19-20 – “My beloved, be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for human anger does not bring about what is right before God”.

2. Anger that is fueled by others: In this form, two or more people are aggressively opposing against each other over an issue. Just as the PERSONAL ANGER, this could also lead to physical brawl where bodily harms and property destruction is inevitable.

We can control this by;

· Learning to answer softly, sensitively and carefully to people (Proverbs 15:1)
· Learning to drop an issue before it leads into a fight (Proverbs 17:14)
· By thinking and acting in accordance to what the Bible teaches (Romans 12:2)
· By using our discretion (Proverb 19:11)

How To Control Anger Before It Controls You

Learn to overlook unfriendly situations: Be wise to a point where you begin to overlook certain situations in life. Like my mum will always tell me, “son, don’t collect water from every rainfall”; that proverb has stuck to me like a leech. It is not everything that happens around you that will warrant you releasing your anger upon. There are certain times when you just need to pick up offenses thrown at you and simply dump them in the trash bin of love and forgiveness.
Identify and avoid your anger-triggers: By identifying things or people that gets you angry, you’ve moved a step closer to avoid being angry as you will do everything within your human reach to escape them. It’s impossible to avoid being angry, but you can decide on what makes you angry and how you will react to them.
Learn to defer anger: One of my mentors, Pastor David Adeoye made this statement and my head exploded. To defer a thing is to postpone that thing to a later date. When you defer anger to a later date, you’d end up not doing what you planned on doing when that set date comes. For instance, if your spouse gets you angry over whatever issue, just defer the anger (postpone your reaction) to the next 2 weeks and occupy yourself with something productive till then. When the set date comes, you will realize that you will not be able to do what you initially wanted to do when you were angered. Anger is like fire, when you don’t fuel it in time, it loses its strength till it fades out.
Avoid unnecessary arguments with hot tempered people: We all have different degrees of anger in us. So, it is better we rid ourselves of any discussion or argument that can lead to someone getting angry (especially you). Like we all know, evil communications corrupts good manners (Proverbs 22: 24-25). Avoid unhealthy arguments like a plague; they have a high tendency of getting you angry.
Watch your words carefully before you speak: Words are like seeds, they grow inside the listener’s sub consciousness. Only speak words that will soothe and heal, not kill and destroy. You can never take back a word when you’ve already let it out, therefore learn to pick your words carefully before you speak out (Ephesians 4: 29 & Proverbs 15:1).
Walk away from a hot scene: Walking away from a place where you sense the spirit of anger looming is not a sign of weakness but a pure sign of great wisdom. There are times when you feel anger building up within you, maybe when you are arguing with someone. The best thing to do is to gently walk away from that person or from that environment. Anger stirs up unpleasant problems that could have been simply avoided.
Learn not to expect too much from people: Frustrations could come into someone as a result of being rejected or dejected by people. When you expect too much from people, you could end up being frustrated. Frustrations in turn, can grow into Anger if not managed and controlled early and properly. Be patient with people, be appreciative of what and who they are, realize that people have their minds and as such they cannot always be shaped into what we want them to be. Be accommodation and be real. Translate expectations into mere desires, especially when dealing with humans.
Never hold grudges: Forgiveness is the key. There is no sin that is too much to be forgiven. We all go to God to ask for forgiveness on daily basis, but the only way we can obtain God’s forgiveness is when we as well, forgive others who have wronged us. It’s not just to forgive people’s shortcomings, it is also necessary we forget the shortcomings.
Don’t dwell on faults: Some people are very good at reminding themselves of the incident or people who got them angry. That is simply an unproductive energy; instead use that energy to focus on things that will help you be more productive in your daily dealings.
Never forget to ask God for help: No matter the situation we find ourselves in, we can always rely on the divine help of God. Constantly ask God to help you through any and every thing (Psalm 124:cool.

Conclusion
Anger destroys destinies. Many people have lost loved ones, jobs, meaningful relationships, and profitable opportunities, all because of anger. So many people are also wasting their youthful years languishing behind bars because of a crime they committed when they were angry. That is why it is very important for us to learn to control and manage that deadly venom in us called anger before it destroys us completely.

When we learn to control anger, we have then become wise, and when we become wise, we would be able to avert so many dangers and mishaps. ANGER is DANGER without the “D”.

Points To Remember

· Anger destroys destinies.
· Many people have lost loved ones, jobs, meaningful relationships, and profitable opportunities, all because of anger.
· When we learn to control anger, we have then become wise, and when we become wise, we would be able to avert so many dangers and mishaps.
· When you expect too much from people, you could end up being frustrated. Frustrations in turn, can grow into Anger if not managed and controlled early and properly.
· Walking away from a place where you sense the spirit of anger looming is not a sign of weakness but a pure sign of great wisdom.
· When you defer anger to a later date, you’d end up not doing what you planned on doing when that set date comes.
· Do not be quickly angered in your spirit, for anger lies in the bosom of fools.
· God knows that anger is a normal thing, but our reaction when we get angry is solely our choice to make.
· Human anger does not bring about what is right before God.

Prayer Point:
Father, I thank you for your patience in my life. I (mention your name), this day, declare that every form of anger, frustration, hatred, rage, wraith and resentments that resides in me begin to find their way out of me. I declare that whatever wasn’t planted by You in my life begin to lose their power over me. I hereby forgive all those who have sinned against me and all those who have influenced me to sin through these negative feelings. Let your love and peace rule in my life and in all my doings. I ask these through Jesus Christ who died for the salvation of the world. Amen.

Religion / Powerful Prayer Points (PPP) – March 2018 Edition by Kingdombase(m): 4:43am On Mar 03, 2018
Last month’s edition of our monthly powerful prayer points was and is still a success game changer as testimonies have been recorded and is still being recorded by those who have wholeheartedly prayed the prayers. It’s all by God’s grace and by His faithfulness that these testimonies are being recorded. We therefore believe in the promises of God that this month will be a better month for us all who calls on Him wholeheartedly.

This month, we shall continue to pray together, study the scriptures and declare words of positivity into our business, family, career, future and every other aspect of our lives.

Let us carefully study each prayer point with its biblical scripture and pray with it from the depth of our hearts. May all our prayers be accepted and answered through Christ our Lord.

PRAYER POINT 1: Father, open my eyes to quickly recognize my destiny helpers that You have positioned in my space. Position my destiny helpers in my circle of influence, open my eyes to recognize every possibility You have planted within me and along my path in Jesus name. (Acts 3: 3-5)

PRAYER POINT 2: Father, I declare that the same people who have refused my promotion and employment and those who have hindered me from getting my contract not be able to recognize me after You have raised me beyond my wildest imagination. I declare that my present situation shall be irreconcilable to where You shall take me to, in Jesus name. (Acts 2: 26)

PRAYER POINT 3: Father, I ask for the grace to remain diligent to my work in Jesus name. I declare that I will not be distracted by someone else’s success in Jesus name. Lord, help me to remain focused and grant me divine strength to keep at my work with great discipline, I ask in Jesus name. (Acts 2: 42-47)

PRAYER POINT 4: Father, I pray that no matter my situation or physical challenge, I will continue to rise up every day to look for my daily bread. I decree and declare that the negative conditions I was born with will not draw me into a state of self-pity in Jesus name. I will not allow self-pity to rob me from meeting my destiny helpers in Jesus name. (Acts 3: 1-2)

PRAYER POINT 5: Father, I ask that you constantly locate me with people whose counsel, advice and mentorship will lead me towards my place of destiny in life in Jesus name. I declare that I begin to make the right choices with regards to my circle of friends and contacts, people that will have a positive impact in my life in Jesus name. (1 Samuel 9: 5-6)

Kindly pray these prayer points with conviction in your heart that God whose blessings, mercy and favour is no respecter of distance will answer your prayers.

And if you desire to surrender your life to Christ, or you want to reconnect and renew your relationship with Christ Jesus, please say this prayer deep in your heart as you place your right hand over your heart;

"Dear Father, I thank you for the grace you’ve shown me this day, I thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ to come and die for the forgiveness of my sins. I thank you for raising him up on the third day and therefore gave me victory over the powers of sins and death. Today, I gladly accept Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Saviour. Thank you for giving me a new life in Christ Jesus, I am a new creature, I am saved and washed by his blood, in Jesus name I pray".

If you have prayed this prayed from the depth of your heart, then I officially congratulate you on your victories and testimonies in this blessed month of favour. Kindly keep reading the scriptures and never cease to communicate to God, the Father through prayers. The next edition of Powerful Prayer Points (PPP) will come your way on the 1st of April, 2018.

“Our Father in Heaven,
Hallowed be Your name,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.

The Lord’s Prayer is one of the most popular prayers among the Christian fold. It is a prayer that was instituted by Jesus Christ himself. Jesus taught his disciples how to say this prayer and today, it is a general prayer usually used to round up a prayer session in church services, groups and even in family or even in personal devotions.

There are countless versions of this short but interesting prayer. Practically, every growing child knows how to say this prayer as it is always used when praying. Today, I would be writing about “The Lord’s Prayer – The Contents”.

Most people say this prayer with so much ignorance as they do not understand its contents in its entirety. Now, let’s break this prayer down for easy understanding.

“Our Father In Heaven”
This part shows we believe that our God lives somewhere – in Heaven. Our God lives far up in the Heavens, but He sees everything that happens here on earth, even in our darkest closet. He is the Omnipresence – He is everywhere at the same time. With this phrase, we know that our God and Father is in Heaven

“Hallowed Be Your Name”
“Hallowed” means “Holy”. Each time we recite this line, we remind ourselves that our God is Holy and faultless in all His doings. We also become aware of our sinful nature as we adore and worship the true God.

“Your Kingdom Come,
“Your Will Be Done On Earth As It Is In Heaven”

In this line, we are making a request that the kingdom of God be made manifest here on earth. God’s kingdom is life, holy, pure and peaceful. So, we are asking that the earth be transformed into what God originally planned it to be – a peaceful and beautiful garden where all we do is to give glory to God through everything we do.

“Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread”
In this part, we are showing our total dependency on God. We are telling God that He is the provider of all we have and are. We are letting God know that we need Him in everything (physically, spiritually, emotionally, mentally and every other way) and it is a daily need.

“And Forgive Us Our Trespasses”
Like we earlier said, this prayer comes in various versions, and as such, the various versions used different words in place of “Trespasses”. Versions used “debt”; another used “sins”, but let us still focus on this our version which used “trespasses”. This part reminds us that we have in one way or the other, come short of God’s expectations of us. We are reminded that we need God’s forgiveness every day.

“As We Forgive Those Who Trespass Against Us”
As we receive God’s forgiveness in places we have sinned, we call to mind those who we haven’t forgiven and we forgive them. The combination of last point and this point “And Forgive Us Our Trespasses, As We Forgive Those Who Trespass Against Us” really means a lot.

It shows that we receive God’s forgiveness if only we forgive others who have sinned against us. It implies that if we do not forgive people who might have sinned against us, we should never expect forgiveness from God.

“And Lead Us Not Into Temptation”
Pardon me to use the word “test” instead of “tempt” in this context. Temptation will definitely come, but we are relying in the power of Jesus to overcome the temptations of this world. The devil tempts us, but God tests us. We need to understand that God doesn’t tempt us; He only tests us to grow our faith and to show the extent of our love for Him.

“But Deliver Us From Evil”
Here, we are requesting for the protection of God over our lives and over everything that relates to us. We have to recognize that God is the source of our protection; He is our shield against the evil arrows from the pit of hell. Only God, can save you and I, that’s why we constantly need to call on Him.

“For Thine Is The Kingdom, The Power And The Glory,
Forever And Ever, Amen”.

This is a hymn of praise to God Almighty. NB: not all versions of the Lord’s Prayer contain this part. This part of the prayer simply gives glory and honour to God for His unending faithfulness in our lives and in all His doings.

Conclusion
Like Jesus said while talking to his disciples, we are not to pray to impress people (Matthew 6: 5-7). We are rather expected to humbly and wholeheartedly approach God in a simple manner as a child will approach his father. We are to know that God is the source of our strength and the giver of our life.

Religion / If I Have More Than Enough Money… by Kingdombase(m): 4:06am On Feb 10, 2018
Have you ever considered what you would do, if money never became a problem to you? What would you use your money to achieve or acquire? How would you live your life? How would you treat others? All these questions are relevant to us as Christians as we often brag about how we would have loved to help people who are poor around us but can’t do so now because we do not have enough money.

Is any amount of money ever going to be “enough” for you? Like we all know that the human wants are insatiable. If we have a car, we would be thinking about how to get another car for our wives/parents/children or how to get the latest model of your car as yours is already beginning to look old fashioned, outdated, and doesn’t befit you anymore. If we have a house, we would be thinking about acquiring more landed properties for our children and children’s children. We would want to get the latest mobile gadget because the ones we use presently are old and we have grown tired of it. We would want the best clothes around, our kids must attend the best school around not minding the cost, and we would put in money in this and that.

All these things are very good. As a matter of fact, God wants us to live a very comfortable life. But the thing is; while God is blessing and enriching us, we are supposed to extend that blessings and enrichment to the less privileged around us. We are meant to be a channel of God’s blessings and not a reservoir tank of the blessings. This means that when God blesses us, we are supposed to replicate by blessing someone who desperately needs it not storing up the entire blessings for yourself and your family.

Catch Phrase: “We are meant to be a channel of God’s blessings and not a reservoir tank of the blessings”.

Ask yourself this question: What would I do when I am financially blessed beyond my wildest imaginations? Personalize the question and give an honest answer to it. Would you oppress people with your wealth? Would you show people that ‘you have arrived’? Would you become the loudest and proudest neighbor around? Or would you become a source of hope for people around you?

You can start with the little you have; you don’t have to be a billionaire to be able to help people who are in need. There is the story of the poor widow in the bible who prepared her last meal for Elijah, and because of her act of faith and kindness, her blessings were mouth-watering.

As kingdom ambassador’s, the best kind of investment we can ever make is not real estate, agriculture or oil and gas, but investing in the lives and development of people. Real estate investments are beautiful, oil and gas investments are wonderful, but they do not have spiritual values. Invest more in the lives of people because when we are on our dying beds, we would be surrounded by our loved ones, by people whose lives we have touched in one way or the other. We won’t be surrounded by our cars, buildings, shares, educational and professional certificates and accolades or what have you.

If you know how quickly people forget the dead, you’d stop living to impress but be a force that contributed to the betterment of people and the community at large. What do you want to be remembered for? Do you wish to leave your footprints in the sands of time? Then, start doing what is right.

Our solemn duty as Christians is to spread the kingdom of God upon the earth. God is love, therefore spread love. And one of the best ways to do this is by contributing to the spiritual and physical growth of people. Jesus Christ our ultimate mentor in one of his teaching to the apostle said “whatsoever you do to the least of my brethren, that, you do unto me”. This means that if you do good to men, you’re equally doing good to Jesus Christ and if you do evil unto men and women around you, you’re equally doing it to Jesus.

Having excess money is good, in fact, it is everyone’s desire but your money cannot intercede for you (only people can), your money cannot take you to heaven (your impact on people’s life contributes to that), your money cannot buy you salvation (honest kingdom advancements will), and your money cannot attract more blessings from God the Father (what you do with God’s blessings can). Money can either be the source of your evil, or the source of your joy. It all depends on how you treat it.

Let others see God in you and through you. Let your life be a reflection of Christ. Let God’s name be blessed through your act and God will never forsake you when you call on Him.

Finally, money does not rule us as Christians, we rule money. I know this because after creation of man, God gave us power and dominion over all things. Do not become a slave to what men have created (money). As you begin to advance the kingdom of God through your works, may God in His infinite goodness and faithfulness who sees your secret works and endeavors continue to bless you openly, Amen.

Religion / The Hidden Secrets Of The Word Of God by Kingdombase(m): 6:41pm On Feb 06, 2018
God created everything with His Word (John 1: 1-4). I know this because in the beginning of creation, God said, “let there be …” That is the power of the Word of God. God’s word carries power, it carries His ideas, His wishes, His blessings, His anointing and everything that God represents. The bible makes us to understand that God’s word will never return back to Him without accomplishing that for which it was sent (Isaiah 55:11).

God’s word is God. So it is very important that we begin to understand and embrace the power in the word of God. God speaks to us in differently ways, the way he speak His words to me may not be the same way He will speak to you. Just as our faces are different, so His ways with us are different. We need to know God personally, so that hearing and understanding His words in our lives would be made easier.

We need to have a personal communion with Him, a personal relationship that we can easily relate with. So many people knows the God of Moses; the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; the God who parted the red sea and all that. Yes, it is very good that we call Him by the wonders He has done, but it is also very important that we know God personally. It is important that we have an experience with Him, an experience that intimately connects you to God. It is essential we have a name for Him. A name which is influenced by your experience in Him.

So many Christians, still believe that God will speak to them through burning bushes or doves descending from the sky. Maybe that way, they would easily realize that it is God speaking to them. But they fail to understand that God speaks to people in different ways, mostly from our romance with the Holy Bible. Many people read the Bible like a novel or like an inspirational magazine and that is why they would never receive revelations from it. Read it with reference and a problem-free mind. Read His word with confidence.

You can only understand God’s word in your life when you have a personal relationship with Him. Hearing God’s word demands total submission to Him, He speaks to everyone, but only those who have submitted their lives totally to Him can clearly hear, understand and run with the revelation that His word brings. The deeper your personal relationship with the Holy Trinity (God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit), the more knowledge you will gain about God.

God’s word is power; His word is life; His word brings hope to the most drowned spirit. God’s word creates; His word delivers and brings people out of darkness. His word is the light unto our feet. His words are everything we should crave for as Christians. In our personal prayer every day, we should always ask God to speak to us and wait for His words.

One of the greatest reasons why most people do not hear God when He speaks is our negligence. When we pray, we communicate with God as we already know from our old posts on themystery of prayer. The problem is not that God do not hear our prayers, it is that we do not allow Him give reply to our requests. When so many people pray, after their prayers, they end it with “…in Jesus name I pray… Amen” and then, they stand up and that is it. Prayer is a communication; as such it is made between two or more people. We ought to give time to hear Him. If not during our prayer time, we should have moments when just stay in solitude for the sole purpose of hearing Him. That is called our quiet time.

What The Word Of God Represents

The word of God represents practically all that God represents. The words in the Bible are fully inspired by the Holy Spirit Himself. And His words have the full ability to transform us into super-humans.
The Word Of God Is God: John 1 tells us that in the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the word was God. Whatever God can do, His word can also do. And since we know that God can do ALL things, we can rightly say that His words can do ALL things.

The Word Of God Is Truth: If God is all-powerful and all-faithful, if God is truthful, then it is safe to say the His words are truthful (Proverbs 30:5, Psalms 12:6, John 17:17).

The Word Of God Is Living And Very Powerful: God’s words that are contained in the Bible are living and they are very powerful (Hebrews 4:12) and they have life (John 6: 63, Psalms 119:50). Every word of God has supernatural powers and they contain life in them. They have the ability to transform and change you into the person that God pre-created you to be. In Jeremiah 23:29, God asked “is not My word like a fire? And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?”. This shows how powerful the word of God is.

The Word Of God Can Sanctify Us: God’s ultimate aim for all human races is for all of us to be saved and born again, after which is to sanctify us and mold us into the image of Jesus Christ. The word of God brings us into the knowledge of God, and the Holy Spirit needs us to have this knowledge for Him to start His sanctification process in our lives. Read Ephesians 5:26, John 15:3.

The Word Of God Gives Wisdom, Knowledge And Understanding: Psalms 119:105, 130 & 133 “tells us that the word of God is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path… the entrance of Your words gives light; gives understanding to the simple…” The word of God can truly change your life for the better, but only if you are honestly willing to spend time seeking and understanding what His word teaches.

The Word Of God Will Stand For Eternity: The word of God will stand for ever, both in this life and in the next life to come which will be in Heaven (Isaiah 40:cool.

Conclusion

Once you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour, it is left to you to begin to seek the understanding of His words.

How can you do this?

Study His words in the Holy Bible daily.
Never neglect the gathering of brethren who study the word.
Never rely on your human understanding. Seek His wisdom.
Dedicate a special time in the day when you seclude yourself from the hustle of the day and concentrate on God in quietness and concentration.
Seek God’s direction in everything you do.

Kindly say this prayer of total dependency deep in your heart, and believe that God in His awesomeness will begin to lead you in His light.

Lord Jesus, this day, I declare my love, my seriousness and my desire to walk with you. Help me to know you more, to love you more and to serve you more. Help me to rely on Your word and not on my mere human wisdom. I declare that I am saved from the shackles of self-dependency and I begin to depend on You for my every need. Thank you for accepting my solemn dependency on Your word. In Jesus name I pray… Amen.

Congratulations and remain blessed as you begin to work in His words.

Religion / Overcoming The Frustration Barrier by Kingdombase(m): 3:32am On Feb 04, 2018
DEFINITION OF TERMS:

OVERCOMING: The English dictionary defines the term ‘OVERCOME” as to get the better of in a struggle or conflict. It also defines it as prevailing or gaining victory over a situation or battle.

FRUSTRATION: The dictionary defines FRUSTRATION as a feeling of dissatisfaction, often accompanied by anxiety or depression, resulting from unfulfilled needs or unresolved problems.

BARRIER: This is defined as anything built to restrain or obstruct a progress, access etc

Now, the topic of the day; OVERCOMING THE FRUSTRATION BARRIER.
With the above definition of our watchwords, we can boldly say that frustrations can serve as a hindrance to us from overcoming in a particular situation or an aspect of our lives.

Are you frustrated? If yes, then it means that you’re not happy as some things are panning out in your life presently, or that you thought you’d have recorded a couple of achievements by now but you’ve not even been able to identify what you truly want. But, there is still hope as it is not over yet for you to overcome.

The truth is that we have the power to ease that ‘frustration feeling’, only if we sit down in our study closets to think deep. We have to plainly write out the things that we think are acting as a barrier, things that are becoming too difficult to break and too real than they seem. These things could be an obsession to a person or an inanimate object, it could be a personal character, and it could be a lack of zeal for the pursuit of our dreams. No matter what they are, once they are written down in black and white, the solutions begin to flow in and we would then see that we could break free from them.

Frustration can lead people into having a very low-self esteem as they begin to see themselves as failures and lost souls. It leads to negative impatience and psychological imbalance. It can affect the way people think. It stops people from making and taking strong decisions as the “failure mentality” sets in and resides in their mindsets. This is why we need to equip our minds with the right thinking-weapons. We need to guard our thoughts because the Bible says in Proverbs 23:7 – ‘as a man thinks in his heart, so is he’. Our thought is a weapon – it could kill us and it could build us. It all depends on how we use it.

Frustrations, if channeled properly can equally be used as a MOTIVATOR. It leads people into having multiple streams of solution sources. They tend to try different methods in getting a problem fixed. When frustrated, a go-getter will try again, again, again and again until he or she records a positive result. Frustration, if used as an inner-fuel will prompt people to have diverse experiences on solution creation. Hence, such people will have what it takes to be a leader, an instructor and a life coach. Therefore, be grateful that you are frustrated, because it shows that you still have the motivation to figure things out (only matured minds can relate to this though).

Frustration, if viewed positively will also serve as an IMAGINATION BUILDER. It helps us to mobilize and stimulate the power of our imagination. This is true because, when we are frustrated, it means that things are not going the way we envisioned. So, this in turn shows that something can be done about that situation. The frustration in us will help us to start thinking and imagining till we spot the problem in our approach to the problem. Take for instance; you are given a mathematical problem to solve in an examination. From where I come from, we have the objective section which have about 3 – 5 possible answers as options with the actual answer among them and the theory section will does not have any answer-option. Now when you solve an objective question and the answer you get is not listed in the given options, you feel frustrated and you start looking at your workings over and over again to see where you’ve made a mistake. That as well is one of the positive powers of frustration.

One of the reasons why frustration gets the better of people is because they do not know how to channel the feeling it gives. They allow it to drown them in thoughts, or should I say ‘worries’. When this happens, we fail to enjoy the benefits of the positive powers of frustrations.

I’d highlight some of the best ways you can channel that frustration you feel to not drown you, but to give you the motivation you seek to move on.

. Always believe you can do what you set your mind to do.
. Know that nothing is too impossible to achieve.
. Surround yourself with people who will always push you to move on.
. Avoid negative thinking people with little or no faith.
. When you set a goal or a target before you, look for ways to breakdown the process into small achievable bits.
. Read biographies of great people who have achieved what you are aiming at. This has a way to inspire you.
. Know that nothing good comes easy. It could take time, but it will arrive.
. Realize that you are not meant to stand-in; you are supposed to stand-out. Be outstanding.
. Stand firm on what you believe and hold your grounds.
. Be a person of great principles.

Friends, let us have the right attitude towards everything that the world throws at us. This way, we not only reduce hopelessness amongst us, we also start becoming great thinkers, great inventors, great entrepreneurs, great men and women of faith, great partners, great parents, great children, great citizens, great teachers great leaders and great forces to be reckoned with in our families, communities, nations and in the world at large.

It’s high time we all stop waiting on the government policies on job and wealth creation of our different communities, and start thinking of ways we can develop ourselves to be self employed. We should stop being job seekers, but job givers. This is your time. See you at the top.

Religion / The Mystery Called Prayer by Kingdombase(m): 2:44am On Feb 04, 2018
What is Prayer? Prayer can be said to be a means of communication between a mortal and an immortal. In our case as Christians, it is a means of communication between us as humans and our creator, God. It is our direct line to heaven. God Himself instituted this mystery called prayer. Read Matthew 6:7-14, when Jesus Christ taught his disciples how to pray. Prayer to a Christian is like petrol to a car. Without it, it would be impossible to make great progress in our Christian journey. We need to talk to God about any and everything that happens with us and around us.

It is important to talk to God at all times; at work, when walking, running, cooking, bathing, every time. But the two most important times we need to talk to God is when we wake up to start the day and when we are ready to go to bed. We need to commit ourselves fully into the divine care of God and we can only do these through the act of Praying.
power-of-prayer
Prayer is a tool, a weapon and a means of communication. So many times, people wonder why Prayer is necessary or doubt its effectiveness, but the truth remains that it is a mystery and as such it is beyond human understanding. We only need to have faith, and believe that there is someone up there in Heaven who answers our prayers.

God wants us to communicate with Him, just as we communicate with our earthly father. To so many people, prayer seems like a complicated task, but it is simply a dialogue, a discussion between you and God in heaven. Most people are confused on what to say, how to say it (aloud or silently), what position to stay (kneeling, sitting, standing of pacing from a place to another). Basically, prayer is just like talking to your best friend; at least that’s how I see it.

Here are few tips on how to go about it:

What Do I Say? There are actually no manuals on words to say when you pray, the point is just to talk to God about whatever is bothering you.
. Thank Him for the gift of life in you.
. Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins.
. Talk to Him about your needs.
. How Do I Say It? This is how I personally say my prayer; it could help you position yourself on how you make your requests known to Him.
. Make your intention known with confidence that He will hear and answer you.
. Be joyful in your heart when communicating with Him, for the Bible says ‘in the presence of the Lord, there is fullness of joy (Psalms 16:11)
. Be expectant of the deliveries of your requests (Psalms 5:3).

FORMS OF PRAYERS

Prayer comes in different forms, the Bible reveals different forms of prayers but we would be summarizing them up to just write out a few of them.

Here are some of them.

Prayer Of Faith: When we pray, we are expected to believe in the healing and delivering powers of God (Mark 9:23).
Prayer Of Agreement Or Corporate Prayer: This deals with joining hands with people or joining faith with people around you when you all pray (Acts 1:14 & Acts 2:42).
Prayer Of Binding And Loosing: Just like every other form of prayer, this type of prayer works in accordance to God’s words and will. We can bind foul spirits and demonic powers with this type of prayer. This is one of the most aggressive styles of prayers amongst us Christians, as we all have a thing or two that needs binding or we need to lose angelic spirits to work on our behalf in areas where God have already promised us results. God puts His heavenly seal of this kind of prayer, especially when it is been prayed in accordance to His will (Matthew 18: 18-19).
Prayer Of Supplications Or Requests: Philippians 4:6 teaches us not to be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayers and supplications with thanksgiving let our requests be made known to God.
Prayers Of Thanksgiving: We need to be thankful to God for the things He has done, for the things He is doing and for things He will still do in our lives. This type of prayer is done by being thankful for every situation we find ourselves in.
Prayer Of Praise And Worship: This form of prayer is similar to that of prayer of thanksgiving. The only difference is that in this case, we focus on who God is and His awesomeness.
Prayer Of Intercession: in this form of prayer, we are putting the requests of others before yours. When we present the supplications of others to God in our prayers, then we are praying the ‘intercessory prayer’ (1 Timothy 2:1) also the entirety of the book of John 17.
Prayer Of Adoration Or Blessings: This is done in total silence to adore and concentrate on the awesomeness of God. We exalt the greatness and acknowledge our dependence on Him in all things.

Religion / Breaking Bad Habits by Kingdombase(m): 1:48am On Feb 04, 2018
Your life gets interrupted by the presence of a BAD HABIT, and this can prevent us from achieving our set goals. A bad habit also messes with our health, both physically and mentally. Finally, they waste your time and conserved energy. Your life today, is the sum total of your habits. Your habits will determine how far you will go in life, how you will end up and how happy or unhappy you would be in life. So it is better to guard you life from bad habits that could mar your development and progression in life.

Habits are defined as what we repeatedly do i.e. what we spend our time doing each day or thinking about. They ultimately mould who we become, what we believe and our personality. Habits are being developed at some point in our lives; they don’t just come out of the blues.

Though, some habits are good and helpful like waking up every morning to pray. Other habits are harmful and they work against us (both short-term and long-term effects). The truth is that, we all have a bad habit or two that we have to break. For some, it is taking too much chocolaty things, too much smoking and alcoholic intakes, staying too much on the internet, too much television madness, and many more habits that we may not realize are Bad Habits.

The question now, why do we still indulge in them? Also, is there anything we can do to break out of them? Fortunately, we can eliminate a habit which has a negative effect on us; we just need to have a step by step plan of action.

Let us first of all get to know how these habits begin:

1. Some habits could be a result of boredom.
2. Some could be from peer pressure.
3. Some could be what we learn on the media (television programmes, social media, and magazines e.t.c)
4. Some could be as a result of frustration,
5. Some could be as a result of a trauma we once experienced.
6. Some could begin as a result of what we are being taught wrongly, and many other reasons.

How to personally put these bad habits under check:

1. First, we have to plan for the ‘Habit change’.
2. Understand what, who or how these habits are triggered. The more knowledge you have about a habit, the easier it is to eliminate it.
3. Focus on one habit at a time. You can’t change all at once.
4. Punish yourself each time you commit “the offense” in a week and reward yourself if you have been truthful to your change plan in the week.
5. Don’t try to stop all at once, take it a step at a time.
6. Commit yourself to support group or share it with someone more experienced than you are that you can trust.
7. Study helpful articles on how to break those habits.
8. Constantly review yourself.
9. Replicate the bad habit with a positive one. (I was once an alcohol addict, my favourite brand was red wine. I had to stop it by first emptying a bottle of red wine and replace its content with pepsi. I did this till I began to enjoy pepsi more than red wine).
10. Avoid visiting places where you know you are more vulnerable to the bad habit; for instance, if you want to stop taking alcohol or cigarette,
you’d need to avoid going to bars, beer-parlors, pubs, etc.
11. Have a visible note of your ‘Habit Change’ on every strategic place you mostly go in your apartment. Read it to yourself every time you
come across it. You can even put it as a reminder on your phone and set it to ring out every hour.
12. Make a public declaration about your Habit Change to your friends.
13. Find an Accountability Partner.
14. Do everything possible to live a healthy life and remain positive.

Finally, breaking bad habit is a journey that doesn’t have a destination. You have to constantly do your best to avoid these bad habits. Even when the habits are all gone, you have to avoid a U-turn. Real results come from you taking actions, not just writing down your action plans. I would recommend you print out this article if you find it helpful and read it to yourself every time.

If you fail while on the process, don’t worry, keep doing your best and you’d eventually get it. Changing bad habits requires a daily commitment. Work hard and stay focused. Learn from your mistakes and work your way to the top.

You can quickly make this prayer in your heart:

Father, I pray that You grant me the grace to stay strong and I pray that when the opportunity to commit any bad habit comes, let the temptation to do it be far from me and when the temptation to do it comes, let the opportunity to commit it be far from me, in Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

Religion / Powerful Prayer Points (PPP) - February 2018 Edition by Kingdombase(m): 1:05am On Feb 04, 2018
Just as we have known and read about the benefits and importance of prayer as we have highlighted in one of our posts, we would like to pray together with you every beginning of each month. Prayer is very essential in the life of every Christian for our edification, salvation and it helps us to communicate with our Creator.

This month, we shall be praying together, studying the scriptures and declaring words of positivity into our business, family, career, future and every other aspect of our lives.

Let us carefully study each prayer point with its biblical scripture and pray with it from the depth of our hearts. May all our prayers be accepted and answered through Christ our Lord.

PRAYER POINT 1: Father, I speak to my life and I declare that into a dimension of recovering all that I have lost in Jesus name. I recover lost dreams, lost time, lost hope and lost opportunities in Jesus name. Father, I ask that You restore unto me all that will make me complete in my walk with You, in my business, my career, my marriage, my ministry, my family and everything that connects to me in Jesus name. (Luke 15: 3-20)

PRAYER POINT 2: Father, deliver me from the holds of negative ancestral patterns and curses that keeps me as the tail and not the head. I declare with the power in the blood of the lamb that anything that has been placed over me to limit me be broken in Jesus name. I therefore loose myself and break free from the shackles of ancestral powers in Jesus name. (Exodus 18:10)

PRAYER POINT 3: Father, I ask for the grace to remain humble and obedient to your words no matter what status I attain or have attained in life in Jesus name. I also ask for the grace to see and appreciate the positive impacts made by people in my life in Jesus name. (Exodus 18: 13-24)

PRAYER POINT 4: Father, I pray that I will not be a gateway for demonic works in Jesus name. Father, I ask that you disconnect me from any covenant I might have entered with the devil, either consciously or unconsciously in Jesus name. (Luke 17:1)

PRAYER POINT 5: Father, I ask for the grace to forgive easily. I ask for the will to always forgive to the point that forgiveness will come naturally to me in Jesus name. (Luke 17:3)

Kindly pray these prayer points with conviction in your heart that God who divided the red sea will answer your prayers.

And if you desire to surrender your life to Christ, or you want to reconnect and renew your relationship with Christ Jesus, please say this prayer deep in your heart as you place your right hand over your heart;

Dear Father, I thank you for the grace you’ve shown me this day, I thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ to come and die for the forgiveness of my sins. I thank you for raising him up on the third day and therefore gave me victory over the powers of sins and death. Today, I gladly accept Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Saviour. Thank you for giving me a new life in Christ Jesus, I am a new creature, I am saved and washed by his blood, in Jesus name I pray.

If you have prayed this prayed from the depth of your heart, then I officially welcome you into the body of Christ. Kindly keep reading the scriptures and never cease to communicate to God, the Father through prayers. The next edition of Powerful Prayer Points (PPP) will come your way on the 1st of March, 2018. God bless you…

A dream is not meant to come easy. It is meant to push us to the peak of our abilities, abilities that we don’t even know we have. Kindly read (Eccle. 5:3). Most times, we have troubles getting started or continuing with our goals and dreams, or we discover that achieving them is going to take more time, finance or effort than we thought it would, and then we start to lose our motivation and our driving force that initially got us started. In such cases, we have to always remember that our dreams are not just for us alone. It may be “OUR DREAM”, but our dreams are tailored into being the solution to other people’s problems and that so many people are depending on them for better living.

Jordan Belfort said this, “The only thing that’s standing between you and your dreams are the bullshit story you keep telling yourself as to why you cannot achieve it”. Life’s problems wouldn’t be called “hurdles” if there wasn’t a way to get over them. We simply have to look for ways to get over them.

Circumstances may cause interruptions which leads to delays in achieving our dreams, but never lose sight of your dreams. Every experience we encounter on our way to our goals and dreams should increase our knowledge on our goals and other aspect of our lives, but some people, Christians especially, ignorantly allow these experiences, to sway them off their dreams.

THINGS THAT HINDER OUR DREAMS FROM BECOMING A REALITY
I would like to briefly write on certain things that can hinder/militate our dreams from becoming a reality. Let’s take a critical look at those things that could prevent us from realizing and actualizing our dreams.

·       Generational curses: The only thing we can do in this kind of a case is to fervently seek God’s help. Only God can help break the chains of generational curses. Curses are very real, so we need to break loose from the shackles of such curses.  Hosea 4:6.
·       Having an ungrateful nature: This is one thing that deprives people of the realization of their dreams. Some people are so ungrateful that they don’t know how to use one of the most powerful, simple words “THANK YOU”. We have to learn to be grateful to people even in small things, because it tends to impress people to do more for us. Some people don’t even thank God when they wake up in the morning, this also is a form of ungratefulness.
·       Fear of failure: Failure is not fatal until we give up. So many great inventors in our world today had points when they failed, but what made them great was the fact that they never stayed down, they picked themselves up and improved on the knowledge they had from their failures. Thomas Edison said this after he invented the light bulb, “I don’t consider times when I failed in my invention, I don’t even think I failed then because I only got to know so many ways on how not to make a light bulb”. There is no STAR without a SCAR. Face your fears else they will get bigger with time. In Genesis, the bible refers to satan as a serpent, but in Revelation, that serpent grew to become a dragon.
·       Excuses: Some people are so used to giving excuses for everything. They never take responsibilities for their actions, always looking for who or what to blame. People use excuses like ‘I am too young’, ‘I don’t have money’, ‘I may do it wrongly’, ‘I may fail’, ‘I am not ready’, ‘most people have done this and failed’, etc. Luke 9:60-62, Exo. 4:10-14, Jer. 1:4-10, Judges 6:12-17.
·       Procrastination: Whatever you want to do, the best time is NOW. Don’t postpone what you have to do now to a later time. Time waits for no one; we have to move as the time ticks.
·       Expecting too much: Some people are used to counting their chicks before the eggs are hatched. Some are even having the habits of spending the little money on them because an uncle promised to send them some extra money. Yes, it’s good to have faith, but faith without work is dead. Expecting too much from people will only slow us down, kills our passion and can ultimately stops us from becoming what we ought to be.
·       Side distractions:  Let us make the word “FOCUS” our watchword. Let’s not get carried away by things that are not worth our dreams. Remember that not everything that glitters is gold.
·       Lack of consistency: There is a popular saying that says “consistency births perfection”. Every master in a particular vocation was once an apprentice. Never pass any chance to improve yourself. Keep doing what you do, and your time will come. Look for better ways to improve, package and deliver your products.
·       Having a low self esteem: We have to carry ourselves with so much confidence. Every star is bold and confident. Even the Bible confirmed this and said in 1Corinthians 15:41 that ‘There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differ from another star in glory’. Don’t feel inferior. Inferiority is not a trait of a Christian; we have the spirit of charismatic boldness and not a flawed timidity.
·       Laziness and fear of responsibilities: You get back home after a stressful day at work, hungry and tired; you hit your bed with your shoes still intact. There is no amount of prayer that would get the shoes off your feet, or cause an angel to come down from heaven to cook you a meal and feed you. The only thing the prayer will do is to give you strength to do the needful. You will never realize the strength until you get off your bed and do what you have to do. The same applies to real life experiences, most times we pray for crazy and unheard-of miracles, but God will only give us the strength to get those things done.

Other Factors Are:

Financial mismanagement.
Wanting to be like somebody else (imitations).
Not knowing when to take a break before you breakdown (time to retreat).
Not setting our priorities right.
Talking too much.
Lacking a S.M.A.R.T plan (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Time-bound).
Lack of commitments.
Negative mindset.
Living in the past glory.
Living a proud life.
Ignorance

To round this up, I would like us to look deep into ourselves, as we know ourselves better than anyone else, what are those things or characters that you know is preventing you from moving to a higher level in life? Take responsibility for your life today and tell God to help you grow in wisdom, in knowledge and in understanding of your true purpose, and ask Him for help. Seek for God’s face and not just His hands. Ask for what you need and not what you want. Ask God to work with you and through you. Allow the light of God to shine in you (Eph. 5:7-14). You are blessed…

Religion / Thought-provoking Questions That Can Inspire Us by Kingdombase(m): 9:09pm On Jan 24, 2018
Today, we will like to talk about “asking the right questions”. Questions that will push us to be what we should be. The right questions can be a step in the right direction in times of trouble. They can be the light we seek in days of thick darkness. So it is very important that we ask the “right questions” at the “right times”.

So many people shy away from confronting themselves with some kind of questions, not because they do not know the answers to the questions, but because of the answer they’d give to it, so it’s better for them to distance themselves from it. They run away from the questions because the answer threatens their “beloved comfortable life”. So, they better live with the norm than be outstanding. This kind of people fails to understand that they cannot run away from these questions for ever. They will eventually have to give answers to the questions some day.

Whenever we are faced with these thought-provoking questions, shying away from them will only compound matters in the future. It is better we answer the questions honestly as it relates to us. Like they say; a stitch in time saves nine. Yes, it could be difficult, but you will greatly benefit from your honesty in the future. Remember, don’t just ask the questions. Do everything in your power to answer them HONESTLY.

In this post, I will be highlighting certain thought-provoking questions to help us discover our bearings, passions and hidden inner-strengths in life.

 Here we go:

 • What Are My Strengths And Weaknesses?
This question will help us to know things we can do and things we can’t. My mentor, Pastor David Adeoye of Royalty Christian Centre once told me to major on my strengths and minor on my weaknesses. This will save us a lot of precious time and resources as we know what we can handle and go for it, or to get people to get them done for us.

 • What Would I Do If I Knew I Won’t Fail?
This fear of failure have kept so many great authors, singers, actors, politicians and other great people from becoming whom God wants them to be. But think about this, what if you knew you wouldn’t fail, how would you have reacted to the criticisms and disappointments? I’m sure you’d have kept pressing and pushing for the ultimate prize and nothing less. So, what do you have to lose if you keep pushing and pressing for success and overlook what “people will say” or the fear of failure? The truth is that people will definitely talk about you; either you do wrong or right. So, just do what is right and let your massive success do the talking for you.

• What Do People Say I’m Good At?
We are the actors, and people around us are the audience, so sometimes we have to know what people think about us. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to say that people’s opinion about your life should define who you are. I’m only saying we need to step out and know what people think about us; our flaws, our high points, and all our other attributes. We need to know where to improve upon and where to stop totally.

 • What Makes Me Feel Unsecured, And What Makes Me Feel Comfortable?
This is very important as we need to know things or places or events that tend to make us feel sad, happy, moody, joyous, unsecured, angry etc. We need to truly know who we are, so that other people’s reaction wouldn’t affect how we see ourselves and how we live our lives. We need to take full responsibility of our feelings. Know yourself and learn to control your emotions.

 • Can I Be A Friend Or Marry Someone Who Has And Live My Exact Lifestyle?
This one is very important. Can you be a friend to someone who lives his/her life like you? Can you marry a man or a woman who lives like you? For a lady to marry a king, she needs to carry herself like a queen and vice-versa. Do you think you can live peacefully with someone like you? If yes, then be a better version of you and if no, work on yourself TODAY.

 • What Do You Do When You Feel Cornered, Depressed Or Fulfilled?
This has to do with how we react and relate to external factors that tend to shift our emotions. How do we deal with them? Do we feel defeated at the slightest form of disapproval from men? Do we feel like a failure when we get a “NO” from businessmen? How do you feel when your business proposal is turned down? Do you lose hope, or do you keep pressing on? How do you feel when you record a major accomplishment?

• Which Fate Is Worse; Failing Or Not Trying At All?
Everyone hates failure, as a matter of fact; nobody wants to be known as a failure. But be honest, is it really worse than not trying to do anything in the first place? Have you ever regretted not trying a thing at all? That feeling, does it feel as painful as failing at the thing?

 • What Can I Add, Remove Or Change To Make My Life Better?
If we are to be honest with ourselves, what do you think you can add, remove or change about your current lifestyle that would make your life better? Now, how do you think you can add, remove or change the thing? Only you know the answer to that question.

 • What Or Who Is Worth Sacrificing My Life For?
Is there someone or something that is worth laying down your life for? How deeply do you think and feel about the person/thing?

• Which Is More Important; Doing The Right Things Or To Do Things Right?
When you do things right, you can attain great heights and record wonderful accomplishments. But when you’re doing the right things, it does not really mean you’re doing the right things in the right way. So what do you think about this, is it really important to do the right things instead of doing things right? Can you gladly do right things even though you’re not doing it the right way? Interesting…

• Are You The Same Person You Are 5 – 10 Years Ago?
We grow old every day. We change, we learn, we unlearn and we re-learn. Do you think you are a better or a worse version of YOU than you was 5 years ago or 10 years ago? Check and balance this.

In conclusion, Bruce Lee said “A wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can learn from a wise answer”. I hope you find this article helpful in your quest for greatness? See you at the top.
