Read Charly Boy’s New Controversial Article Titled: “Making Babies In Poverty”

Popular musician and social commentator, Charly Boy has written about one of the most controversial topics, “Making Babies in Poverty”.

Read the father of 9’s article below.

Go ye into the world be fruitful and multiply, oh! yes that’s what the good book says. However certain people take this literally. They see children as a blessing from God and they view it as their duty to fulfill this prophecy by promoting procreation, rejecting all forms of birth control, including natural family planning.
Children are viewed as a reward from God and the more children one has, the more one has been blessed by God but the big question is, does this put food on the table especially in this hard times?!!

I’m still trying to wrap my head around why the poor have more children when they can’t afford to raise them. And why the rich have fewer children when they can afford to have more. The population demography of any society is vital in Nation building and governments around the world have effected policies to control this growth. A very good example will be China’s one child per family policy, which has now been upgraded to two. It will be commonsensical to say that people breed their kind this means a rich family is most likely to have rich children, and a poor family, poor children. In Nigeria we have a large majority of low income earners who are multiplying the number of children they have. Children they can not afford to take care of. So wouldn’t it make common sense to say that the less one earns, the less children you should have?

This is one of life’s ironies.

People who are rich and can afford to have more children will not yet those that can not afford it do. Low income spouses spend more leisure time together than families of high income earners. It will be typical in our society today, to see a high income family where both couples are gainfully employed, close work late and get home from a hectic day too tired and stressed to indulge in any intimate act but the lower income earner seem to have more leisure time and less distractions to focus on their love plays with their tomato selling wives. Why is this so?

Breeding children has become a recreational sport for the poor, I feel this is an issue that we all collectively as a society need to address. I use to think that it was mostly in the rural areas that this kind of demography is rampant but that’s not the case, the other day I was shocked to find out that a friend’s security guard who earns 30,000.00 naria monthly has two wives and ten children. Hummmmm, How on earth are they going to survive on that, what type of education, feeding, clothing can he provide for them in today’s Nigeria. Don’t they understand that intimacy between spouses is also an occasion to be savored and pleasurably enjoyed and not just for making babies?

We all need to wake up to the harsh effects that this is having. Government needs to have more enlightenment and sensitization programs that will address this issue. There is a need to inform the populace about the harmful effects of having children that one cannot afford to raise properly. The most obvious aftereffects are when you see children hawking in the street in order to fend for their families. This is not an issue for the government to tackle alone, the private sector also has to join in. The first solution will be circulating constant information about family planning: Due to a range of factors including education and location of living, poor women don’t have access to as many family control measures as richer women so richer women have substantially fewer “unintended” pregnancies than poorer women.

For all my brothers and sisters coping with survival I urge you all to think more about family planning, I know God blesses us with children but we must learn to plan our family according to our means. By the way, I have 9 children but thank God my school fees days are over or else e for hard ooooo. So my simple summary today is, cultivate your sperm according to your pocket size. A word they say, is good for the wise.

Osun State Governor Calls For Eradication Of Female Genital Mutilation

Osun State’s Gov. Rauf Aregbesola has called on government at all levels to work towards total eradication of female genital mutilation all over the country.

He made the call at a Forum on Female Genital Mutilation organised by United Nations Fund for Population Activities(UNFPA), in collaboration with Shericare Foundation in Osogbo on Tuesday.

The governor commended former President Goodluck Jonathan for signing the Act prohibiting female genital mutilation in Nigeria.

According to Aregbesola, female genital mutilation is a bad practice borne out of primitive idea to continually dominate females in the society which must be stopped by all Nigerians.

“Everybody must work hard to ensure that the practice is done away with. Besides the damage it has done to women, it has created health challenges like acute urinary retention, delivery complications, among others.

“We have not established any scientific advantage let alone any religion supporting the practise. It is just an inhuman design to suppress the other sex.”

Sherifat, wife of the governor and President of Shericare Foundation, described female genital mutilation as primitive.

She said that if the practice continued, 2, 718, 000 girls born between 2010 and 2015 would be at risk of experiencing female genital mutilation by 2030.

Country Representative of UNFPA, Ms Ratidzai Ndhlovu, charged Osun Government to work and ensure the eradication of the practice.

NNPC Might Stop Crude Oil Production – Ibe Kachikwu

Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, announced that the NNPC might stop crude oil exploration, if prices fall across the globe.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) boss said “If the cost per unit barrel exceeds the price of oil, it will simply be left in the ground. We in Nigeria must also adjust to reflect current market realities.”

Kachikwu said this, while speaking at the 2015 pre-conference workshop of the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists.

He also said “It is worth mentioning that many oil projects today are of such scale and global scope that their cancellation affects the economies, not only of the producing countries, but also those of many others that provide the goods, services, and expertise necessary to deliver those projects.

“Indeed, it is estimated that a $50 oil price placed $150bn of upstream investments at risk. Companies are exposed to these dynamics and the resulting changes in oil prices to different degrees.

“By optimising our financial position, reshaping our portfolios, renegotiating costs – both capital expenditure and operating expenditure – limiting costs, reducing risks, reengineering business models and addressing fiscal terms, companies can weather a lower-price environment and position themselves for even greater success when prices rebound.”. http://www.ngtrends.com/2015/11/nnpc-might-stop-crude-oil-production-ibe-kachikwu/

MTN came to Nigeria at a time when nobody wanted to invest in Nigeria,
at a time when Nigerians did not have phones. Even Zenith Bank refused
to loan MTN cash to operate, UBA rejected MTN's offer but today see
the difference.
What about Cowbell? When they came to Nigeria, they made milk in a
sachet, Peak was laughing at them - they said Cowbell was milk for the
poor - but they were right! 3-million poor people could afford N10 a
day for a sachet of milk.
Oya, do the math - 3 million people buying milk at N10.00- that was
N30million every single day. In a month they grossed N900million
(almost N1billion).
Even Peak had to make sachet milk in order to survive in the market.
So what have people told you?
What have they said you cannot do, or you do not qualify for, or you
do not have experience for?
They told Cowbell, they told MTN, but today the story has changed. I
have a feeling something is changing for you today!
They will change their strategies just to keep in step with you.
Don't listen to what people are saying or what life is showing you.
YES, YOU CAN.

Must Read: Ladies See The Shocking Effect Of Postinor 2 (Drug For Prevention of Pregnancy)
Filed in POSTINOR

Postinor 2 is a medication to prevent pregnancy if you shine the sperm into the ovary, whether intentional or not. It can prevent pregnancy 95% in the first 24 hours after intercourse, it is used as a form of emergency contraception (more commonly known as a morning after pill).

Postinor-2 is formulated to function in a manner similar to the female hormone progesterone allowing for prevention of pregnancy if taken within a reasonable period of time. Generally, it is recommended that Postinor-2 be taken no later than three days after having unprotected intercourse.

EFFECTS OF POSTINOR 2
When taken in the middle of the menstrual cycle, the preparation may inhibit ovulation. The pill can cause changes in the menstrual cycle in the lady. Your next period could start earlier or later than expected and flow can be lighter or heavier than normal.

It can cause nauseating feeling which occurs in approximately 25% of users vomiting

It can also bring about bleeding disturbances in some cases, 2-3 days following tablet ingestion

Sometimes it can cause breast tenderness, headache, dizziness, fatigue.

In the majority of cases the next period starts as expected or somewhat earlier, if the period is more than 7 days late it is recommended to perform a pregnancy test.

In case of prolonged or heavy bleeding, gynaecological examinations is advised.

If the user has a reported case of asthma, heart failure, hypertension, migraine, epilepsy, renal impairment, diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidaemia, depression, and / or stroke, the preparation may be used exclusively in the above mentioned emergency cases. it is not appropriate for regular use.

The manufacturer of the emergency contraceptive offers the efficiency of the pill when it is taken as directed. Logically, the longer the interval between unprotected sex and taking the pill, the decrease in how effective it will be. It is estimated that Postinor-2 will prevent 85% of expected pregnancies. 95% of expected pregnancies will be prevented if taken within the first 24 hours.

How to take POSTINOR?

May I wait 72 hours to take the pill?

Not at all! The sooner the better: The earlier you take the pill, the higher the chance to prevent pregnancy. Some people call emergency contraceptive pills “day after pills”. Well, you don’t have to wait until the day after. You can take POSTINOR Aftersex pill right away or use it up to three days after unprotected sexual intercourse or if you think your birth control method failed.

How to take POSTINOR?
POSTINOR is a single pill solution: only 1 pill, and you can easily avoid abortion. There is 1 pill in the pack. You have to take the POSTINOR pill within 72 hours of having unprotected sex. (For 2 tablets version of POSTINOR: take the second tablet exactly after 12 hours after the first.

Take it as soon as you can, the sooner the better!

The sooner you take it, the more likely it is to work. Ideally, you should try to take the tablet within 24 hours following unprotected intercourse, as this is when it is most effective. The efficacy of levonorgestrel Emergency Contraception Pills depend on how many hours have passed since you had unprotected sex.

If you’re worried about the possibility of an unplanned pregnancy, it’s important to act now rather than waiting till later.

When to take and not to take POSTINOR?
POSTINOR morning after pill is currently the safest way to prevent pregnancy after contraception failure or unprotected sexual intercourse, with low incidence of side effects. It is very unlikely that you will have any serious or long term side effects after taking POSTINOR. Usually you can carry on with your day as usual. Do not take POSTINOR:

If you’re already pregnant, because it won’t work although it will not harm you or your fetus.

If you’re allergic to levonorgestrel or other ingredients in POSTINOR.

POSTINOR won’t protect you from HIV infection (the virus of AIDS) or other sexually transmitted disease (STD).

How often can I take POSTINOR?
It’s not a regular method of contraception. Try to use it rarely, in emergency only. But never forget: it has much less side effects and health risks than abortion pills or hospital abortion.

Generally speaking you should not take it more than once within one menstrual cycle.

If POSTINOR is used more than once in a menstrual cycle, it is more likely to upset your menstrual cycle (period). POSTINOR does not work as well as regular methods of contraception. Your doctor, practice nurse or family planning clinic can tell you about long-term methods of contraception which are more effective in preventing you from getting pregnant.

Sports / Mikel Is Part Of Our Problem – Chelsea’s Club Legend Reveals by kingjizzy2(m): 7:41pm On Nov 05, 2015
Chelsea’s Club Legend Reveals. John Obi Mikel who has been in action regularly following the gross under-performance of first-choice midfield pair Fabregas and Matic, has been alleged to be one of the factors responsible for Chelsea’s slump in their current campaign.

Former English footballer, Alan Anthony Hudson, who began his footballing career with Chelsea, and played there for six years as well as the England national football team, has argued that John Obi Mikel is one of the factors responsible for Chelsea’s slump in their current campaign.

The Super Eagles star, has been in action regularly following the gross under-performance of first-choice midfield However, Mikel has failed to impress and it’s perhaps little coincidence that some of his appearances for the Blues have coincided with their poorest results of the campaign.

The midfielder started in the 3-1 loss to Everton, the 2-1 away defeat to FC Porto in the Champions League, the Capital One Cup elimination at the hands of Stoke City and last weekend’s 3-1 loss at Liverpool. He also featured for 45 minutes in the Blues’ 2-1 loss away at West Ham United., Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic. Alan Hudson believes that sub players like Mikel and under performing striker Diego Costa are the chief reason why the West Londoners are struggling this season.

“I think they need a facelift. You can’t carry on with players like John Obi Mikel, you need better players than that in midfield.

“They need a clearout of players. Branislav Ivanovic has been tremendous for them but he seems to have hit a brick wall at right back.

“When they bought Pedro from Barcelona at the start of the season I thought it would give Chelsea more width, with him on one side and Eden Hazard on the other, and they would open their game out a bit.

“They play through the middle too much and rely on Diego Costa up front too much. Costa, in my opinion, is nowhere near as good as people make him out to be,” Hudson told Reuters.http://www.ngtrends.com/2015/11/mikel-is-part-of-our-problem-chelseas-club-legend-reveals/......Lalasticala help d post carrier to fp.....

Celebrities / Charlyboy Advices Young On Getting Married by kingjizzy2(m): 9:58pm On Nov 04, 2015
Charly Boy is raising an eyebrow over the elaborate weddings staged by young people, especially in entertainment industry. He dropped few words of advise for them this morning, saying that the best thing is to “cut your coat according to your size”.

“One of my favorite sayings is, “cut your coat according to your size not your neighbor’s size” abegi. Why must one go a borrowing just to impress people when the aftermath of the ceremony leaves you in debt especially at the point where you have to start to think of someone else in regards to raising a family.

My advice to young people is that it’s not how expensive your occasion is that guarantees a stable married life. Instead of spending such a huge amount, to have an elaborate wedding and when the debts pile up, the quarrels will begin, the advice I give young couples is that they should have a long financial discussion before marriage, issues like who pays what bills and when should be addressed. One of the major conflicts people have in marriages is always financially related so it is very important to have this talk about the kind of financial future they want to have and strategize on how they intend to achieve it. Abi? Weytin you think.”

A 22-year-old final year student of Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri has allegedly been killed by her boyfriend for refusing his marriage proposal.

The decease identified as Onyinyechi Okegbulam, was shot in the head at close range by her supposed boyfriend in the village.

liveschoolnews.com.ng learnt that the deceased was, last Saturday, lured out of her family home by the boyfriend at about 7p.m.

A source reported that as soon as the boy saw the girl approaching him, he fired at her.

Another source claimed that soon after shooting the girl, the young man tried to smuggle Onyinyechi’s lifeless body into his car but scampered for safety when a woman raised alarm, which attracted several people to the scene.

Liveschoolnews.com.ng grapevine gathered that the boyfriend was responsible for the entire educational expenses of the girl.

A resident of the area said: “We heard that the boy picked the bills for the girl’s education, but that the girl later abandoned the boy and opted to marry another man.

“We have even heard that the marriage has been fixed before the boyfriend struck.”

Although the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Andrew Enwerem, a deputy superintendent of police, could not be reached at press time, a reliable source in the state police headquarters, Owerri, confirmed that police had waded into the matter.

The police source said: “Police have started investigating the incident and the late girl’s parents are cooperating with us. Police will get to the root of the case.”

Music/Radio / Reasons Why Many Producers Dont Last At The Top....mastercraft by kingjizzy2(m): 7:06pm On Nov 03, 2015
Super producer Masterkraft has revealed why many producers don’t last at the top.

The General Records hit maker has been in music for over half-a-decade, with many hit songs under his belt.

Recently he has signed CDQ, and gone on to make the hit song ‘Indomie’.

The Producer recently had a chat with Pulse TV, where he shared insights on why many producers don’t have an extended shelf life at the top of the industry.

Masterkraft believes some of the fault lies within the copyright laws and enforcement of it within the country.

“The first thing that happens which is rather very emotional for me is that we live in a country where the real talents are really not supported. For example, in copyright law, if the music is 100%, the composition of the music is 50%, and whoever sings or writes on top of it gets 50%.” Masterkraft explained.

“Now imagine if 50% of the income a Wizkid made on (the song) ‘Don’t dull’ had gone to Samklef. Wouldn’t it have been an encouraging situation for Samklef?”

Masterkraft also put the blame on the producers, citing complacency and a refusal to evolve with the global dynamics of sound as a core reason for failure.

“..at a point, if you stop to do research, then you are definitely going down.

Sound changes, every time it changes. I think at a point they did not do their research well, they did not improve on themselves, so definitely they had to go down.”
Sports / CAF Announces African Player Of The Year Shortlist…see Who Made It by kingjizzy2(m): 6:58pm On Nov 03, 2015
Finally, the shortlist for the prestigious CAF African Footballer of the Year award is out and the names on it as well as the omissions will surprise you.

Surprisingly, CAF has omitted Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa and former skipper Vincent Enyeama from the 10-man shortlist for the 2015 African player of the year award.
