SaintChukz: So...? And you wrote this epistle just to reply me. I mentioned a Family friend and not just a random anyone(that's what you should have focused on) because I know this person very well. Someone I know they paid for her to pass WAEC. If you think you've seen/heard of more experiences than the person you're replying, no you haven't. asin I was so confused about what oga was trying to say no correlation atall |

IjebuWarrior: Femi Otedola Net worth (2019) - $300 Million
Jeff Bezos Net worth (2019) - $154 Billion
So Otedola is worth ONLY ~0.2% of Bezos and, acts like he owns the world while Bezos goes to work daily, and very casual that you can hardly differentiate him from his employees.. Yet, in Nigeria they refer to Otedola as the model and humble Billionaire.. otedola can still buy u and ur destiny with the same amount u use to buy iPhone x |

Okuda: thank god you said they do well. but its not in all the xourses you can skip classes. some attendance is mandatory. those guys that come once the thing with them are one of 2 instances, either they are just exceptionally smart or they are carrying the course over again so they really know it this time to not be in class where attendance isnt required. yes exactly |
Education › Re: 46 Medical Nigerian Students Graduate From Howard University, USA by Kingkun69(m): 5:52pm On Jun 17, 2019 |
HBB1: When Nigerians go school abroad, they more often than not do well, and I mean very well. The same Nigerians that struggled in Nigeria... I know people that even failed out of a Nigerian University and became stellar abroad.
to survive the sordid conditions and pass, requires mental toughness and ingenuity ( smartness).
By the way, I have written foreign ( qualifying) exams and they were not even as tough as exams I wrote as an undergraduate... and I was not the smartest. everyone passes foreign exams it's collecting high scores that is palava OK is jamb hard again? No it's stupidly easy But students fail because of not reading or from jamb itself so basically suffering does not make u smart |

Deepthoughts: ok,if by this assertion you mean those Nigerian brains are so good, what has been their end product after all these years n numerous broken records? ppl that just graduated And also if you are going by this then everyone who goes there should make breakthroughs each then come on listen to urself u don't have to make a scientific breakthrough to be successful or noticed |

prodigyhenry: my comment was for those who have sense sadly you don't fall into that category. I am not talking about the standard of education we are talking about the standard of living of an average Nigerian public university student, have those guy ever had a 6am to 6pm lecture, have they ever struggled to get shuttle, have they ever trekked for kms to go to class?, have they ever been failed by a lecturer because he doesn't like their name or because they didn't buy a handout, have they ever gone go exam hall without eating for days, have they had to cram formulas and chemicals they have never seen?, have they had to understand something even their lecturers don't understand?.. those guys are smart no doubt but any Nigerian public university student that can get second class upper would do far better than this guys if he gets the chance and how does that make them smarter again u have spoken rubbish pls just go and Google Howard Uni first before talking thrash here |

Deepthoughts: The stories of Nigerians breaking all sort of academic records in various universities around the world has been on for a long time, but after all this while what has been the end results?, I'm sure if a research is to be carry out to find the break throughs achieve by their mates, the results will be astounding!, personally I just believe that we blacks generally are only good at cramming n assimilations just to pass exams in flying colors but poor in critical n original thought process in relation to our acquired knowledge,or perhaps there is mystical powers beyond ordinary education to the mind blowing breakthroughs been achieve by the whites. this only applies to naija schools I know for a fact u can't cram and collect 1st class in abroad Uni as long as it is recognized it's not possible |
Education › Re: 46 Medical Nigerian Students Graduate From Howard University, USA by Kingkun69(m): 5:33pm On Jun 17, 2019 |

Education › Re: 46 Medical Nigerian Students Graduate From Howard University, USA by Kingkun69(m): 5:31pm On Jun 17, 2019 |
Okuda: all of una talking rubbish dont know what it means stydying abroad. should education that is already stressful in its own ramification add additional stress that can be done away with? in Nigeria you can settle, you can cut corners with the system abroad you cant. if the total mark to pass an exam is 6, you are expected to get a minimum of 4 before you can pass. anything before is FAIL. i mean look at it, a little above 3 in this instance should be a pass right? 3, 3.1 and above but there its not. 4 which is above average. of which to them a 4 is a bad score.
you would be bombarded with assignments and presentations, there is no escaping it that you give it out to someone to do or you copy and paste. you would fail woefully. you are expected to know it. if you dont know it, you would be very terrible with yourself because you cannot escape interactive sessions in class where people may be paired in groups and ideas are thrown around. Abroad, you cannot separate school and normal life. school, learning and studying is normal life till the end of the semester because assignments, papers, group work, presentations keeps you always studying or feeling guilty for not studying or beimg nervous and scared all the time . In Nigeria, the only time people are in full school mode is during exams or tests. infact you can afford to miss lectures and be out of school mode till whenevrr you feel like.
Abroad, your lecturer knows you all in class, knows the weak amd strong ones, the omes to always throw questions at to put them on their toes all the time. You are in class the whole day. basically. sometimes from 8am to 4 or 5pm with 15 mims break at every hour then a major break by mid day.so you see my friend, the suffering yall are suffering in your "nigerian university" is not education related, rather its just punishment or should i say "an appendage" of the general suffering attached with being and living in nigeria mixed with your education. Dont think they have it easy there. its equally as tough, if not tougher. yes but that missing class matter happens everywhere forget I can swear on my life that my brother when he went to Texas Tech said there are some students that only came for orientation and then never came back only when there is test or exam they will appear and they do well also yes what they don't know is that abroad too it's hard in acclaimed schools or even registered colleges u have to be smart and understand as they will always be bringing new methods of learning and teaching especially in the it and engineering sectors but the main difference between here and abroad is that u will enjoy the learning u see new things to experiment with you are allowed to actually practicalize what u learn the environment is clean sane and up to date I remember when I went school hunting with my parents I was never the interested in school type until I saw what went on there was like something out of a movie with the inventions that's when I knew I had to go there |
