Foreign Affairs › Re: Renewed Rioting Sweeps British Cities In Wake Of Child Murders by Kingosytex(m): 9:39pm On Aug 04, 2024 |
naija4life247: Violent disorder swept across several British cities on Saturday, injuring police and damaging property in the most widespread rioting in the country for 13 years, following the murder of three young girls in northwest England.
Riots involving hundreds of anti-immigration protesters have erupted in towns and cities after false information spread rapidly on social media that the suspect in Monday's knife attack at a children's dance class in Southport was a radical Muslim migrant.
Violent disorder erupted in Liverpool, Bristol, Hull and Belfast - four cities located in different corners of the UK - with scuffles breaking out and bricks and bottles thrown as anti-immigration protesters faced groups opposed to racism.
Many police officers suffered injuries as they tried to keep several hundred rival protesters - largely young men who were chanting slogans - from clashing.
In Belfast, some businesses reported damage to property while at least one was set on fire, according to police. "I have no reason why they attacked us," said Rahmi Akyol, standing outside the shattered glass doors of his cafe in Belfast, which he said was attacked by dozens of people with bottles and chairs.
"I've lived here 35 years. My kids, my wife is from here. I don't know what to say, it's terrible," he said. Across Britain, police have arrested dozens of individuals for offences ranging from violent disorder to burglary and criminal damage.
Extra police have been deployed across cities while mosques across the country have been advised to strengthen security following an attack on a mosque in Southport on Tuesday.
'UNFORGIVABLE VIOLENCE' Prime Minister Keir Starmer, facing his first big test since his election a month ago, has condemned the "far-right" for the wave of violence and backed police to take strong action. He discussed the disorder with senior ministers on Saturday, his office said.
The last time riots erupted in Britain was in 2011 when a much larger outbreak of violence took hold, with thousands of people taking to the streets for five nights after police shot dead a Black man in London.
On Friday night, hundreds of anti-immigration demonstrators in Sunderland threw stones at police in riot gear near a mosque, before overturning vehicles, setting a car alight and starting a fire near a police station. "This was not a protest. This was unforgivable violence and disorder," Mark Hall, chief police superintendent of the Sunderland area, told reporters on Saturday. Some further protests were planned for Sunday. The Reuters Daily Briefing newsletter provides all the news you need to start your day. Sign up here. England and France no no wetin dem put their hand. In the next two decades, the Islamic extremists will overrun their countries making it a living hell for them What amazes me is how these extremists flee in droves from their countries where sharia is being practised only to come to a place where there is no sharia and start demanding the same sharia of which they ran away from. You ran away from the terrors of sharia, came to a place where peace reigns only to start demanding overtly and covertly for the implementation of the same sharia you ran away from These guys are not only demented, they are also highly brainwashed and delusional. |

Look at how people are celebrating because their fellow citizens are being killed? Lives mean nothing in Nigeria. I can't imagine Americans celebrating a thing like this. Time to sit back and watch the real transformation unfold. He and his goons are advising you to be patient, they say there is light at the end of the tunnel while the bask in light themselves. They say there's no money but they themselves are living in affluence wasting millions and billions on irrelevant things. The only people not complaining are those benefiting directly or indirectly. Tinubu has no template, by the time he is done with you all, you will beg Buhari to come back Batists, Obidients, Atikulators, and neutrals all buy things at same prices, they give no one no discount for any party affiliations. |

Atiku would have been completing his term now but he and his goons ganged up against GEJ. GEJ would have handed over to him but he was impatient and myopic. Tinubu used their heads, he wasn't smart and calculative enough. Secondly, what stopped Atiku from stepping down and backing Obi knowing fully well that we can't go from Buhari (a northern Fulani man to Atiku, another northern Fulani man). Obi supported Atiku in 2019, why didn't Atiku return the same gesture? Must everything be about him? |

North: This tinubu is by far the most useless Fresident to walk the face of za earth. We must destabilize his presidency. He must go. We will protest and riot till he leaves office.
Yoruba man: The igbos are gaslighting the north. The igbos are tribalistic. The igbos must go.
North: Are you saying we are incapable of thinking for ourselves? Is that an insult? Are you useless? Are you cursed? Are you Yorubas trying to insult us??
Yoruba: Obi will never be President. Igbos must leave our region. We cannot allow igbos to come to our region.
North: undecided undecided undecided undecided
Yoruba: Igbos are wicked. They are tribalistic. Igbos are the problem. Igbos are petty. Igbos are this; igbos are that..
North: We are not igbos. Why do you keep mentioning igbos? We are talking about the useless President that has made life unbearable for everyone of us. He must go!!
Yoruba: You see Nnamdi Kanu, he must die in Prison. That man is a very wicked man. He must perish in hell.
North: But we kill your people. Why don’t you ever insult us? We killed your obas, we oppress you, we insult you, we do all these things to you. Why don’t you ever speak against us??
Yoruba: We know all you do, we see all you do but IPOB is evil. Obidients are the worse! Obi must never be President. Igbos must die. Igbos must go. Igbos must perish.
