Nigerians have always been that way but it's a pity you're just discovering it just now

people who aren't happy about progress are there to laugh at your setback but it is the you in you to rise above the situation in order to prove them wrong

its really left to the MMM participants to pick themselves up, dust off the loss and move on because it has happened and there's nothing that can be done about it
TravelRe: Truck Collides With Cattle Along Keffi-Abuja Road, Many Cows Dead (Pics) by kingphilip(m): 1:03pm On Dec 15, 2016
see enough christmas meat fa.. please where is the exact location lemme locate there too ooo. this shouldn't pass me by come what may

this might lead to another dispute between the herdsmen and the truck drivers ooo and if time is not taken the communities close to where this took place will surely be affected.. i pray it does not result to loss of lives. the only way to a meaningful settlement is the payment for these cows at full cost plus because the way these individuals value their animals is awesome

but these individuals has their own blames too because how can they be grazing close to the road and allowing the cattle to obstruct the passage of vehicles

the driver too is not devoid of blame because he too must have seen the cattle from afar and should have found a way not to hit them because i cannot see how all the animals rushed into the road at once to get hit as soon as his vehicle is at close distance..

ALL IN ALL LET PEACE REIGN

The easiest way to penetrate an organization is where division reigns... Their downfall is imminent if this division is not checked and stopped very soon

But Steven should have carried everybody along knowing that they'll surely understand come what may..

KMJ welcome back..

Uncle, 1700 for 547 days will take you closer to 1m.

Secondly, how deeply were you discharging your batteries? Till the low alarm sound S or it switched off?

Also, while the 510k may have been a recurring cost, the costs for the inverter, solar panels, charge controller et al, were not recurring.

Based on your own analysis above( even with an assumption that the batteries were drained to 0%), solar power still works out cheaper.
not also including the cost he'd use in servicing it

Even if it's once in three months that's like 6 times within the same period

Can anyone who is familiar with solar generated electricity educate us with the following:

-Initial costs e.g. for a 2 bedroom flat with 3 ACs, double door fridge, TV, Fans, lighting et.c.
-Continuous running costs -i'm assuming they'll need maintenance
-The practicality of using one for years and years
can you contact me with the number on my signature?? Whatsapp precisely and you'd get answers at no cost

You will enjoy it but its more expensive than generator! You are the ignorant here.
For example .... Our 4
batteries cost about ...510.000 naira
Sola panels about 120.000 naira
inverter ....engine .....110.000
controller or something like that i am not sure 30k
The whole shiiit lasted for like 18 months (547 days)before we replaced the batteries
come to think of it,we use 1700 diesel per day for our generator that means 1100x547....601.700 naira
I'll advice you to hold your installer responsible

Where do you stay BTW lemme come see your system and know what might have gone wrong

It should have lasted longer than you stated

Thank you buddy; but I heard it's kinda hard to maintain with small change
maintenance is the cheapest and easiest of all.. And if a good installer is the one that handled it, then you might not be needing maintenance for half a year

In the long run ? the thing no dey last abeg, and the parts are expensive sef.
e no de last?? Then hold the installer carefully and very well

Nice write up , a strong point for use of solar power. It has largely remained an untapped and readily available source of power in Nigeria. Come to the north and you would find sufficient land for enough panels to power the north. Add that to 9months of intense sunlight, and we are well on our way to solving our power needs.
However for home panels, there are some limitations :
> cost of installation
> It barely would power my pressing iron or electric cooker, why then would I spend soo much to install solar panels if I still have to be connected to the grid for some heavy appliances?
> During the peak of the rains or harmattan, I would still need to switch to the grid or run my generating set.
with my little knowledge on solar and how it works I'll try to clear those doubts/questions you raised to the best of my ability

>cost of installation: agreed there's high cost associated with its installation but looking at it from a long term perspective, it's the most efficient and reliable.. The panels lasts well over 20years and other essential equipments needed lasts minimum of 7 years... If you're to power your generator within these period compared to the length of years I'm sure solar should have an edge compared to its alternative

>powering of heavy appliances: think of anything that you need electricity for and I'll tell you solar can power it.. Name it your iron, fridge, freezers, air conditioners, ice block machines and whatever.. The only factor that guarantees these equipments been powered is money.. A saying goes where there is a will {wheel} there's a way.. To me where there's the money, solar powers everything

>during harmattan periods: where people gets it wrong is that they think it's the hotness of the sun that the panels requires but the truth is its the brightness.. What my company does is to make a provision for 3 days of autonomy incase the sun decides to take a break for 3 days, power will still run in your homes unhindered and Uninterrupted...

I hope with these few points I've been able to clear some doubts about the solar system to you

You limit his stupidity to just this administration??

You're being too mild on Dalung.... Fact is Dalung is the biggest mistake in the history of Nigerian sports.

Lawd!!!! Just look at his mentality.... What a man!
not trying to defend the indefensible but I can say he's probably not so inclined to sports or has in depth knowledge of sports to help him move the ministry forward

I was around at the Abuja nysc camp where he addressed the Corp members on Monday and haven seen how he addressed them, I feel he's just not sports inclined to move the ministry forward but can function effectively in the ministry of youths not including sports ministry

I actually don't watch a lot of games, even at home, I no dey watch TV at all sef, didn't watch Olympics and haven't watched any FIFA-organized international competitions since the 2015 U-17 World Cup (just watched the semifinals sef)

There is a viewing center center in front of school, that's where most guys watch games, I dey fear to reach that side alone, before dem go mistakenly break my head in the middle of argument cheesy
every viewing center around school de safe

At least I've watched matches in all of them around school as at 2014 though
