I still can't believe some people think the father overreacted. Now I realize that 'African parents' and 'Nigerian parents' are not the same, the punishment was a bit friendly compared to what people face when they fail JAMB

I remember when I carried 4th position in junior secondary school, after my mum finished with me that afternoon.. I was thinking of running away from home.

Mine was when I took last position in SSS1, that day wasn't funny at all, the kind of beating I got from my dad that day ehn, even devil will pity me. though I was the cause of my misfortune, I kept bad companies, smooched girls and did alot of crazy things back then.
after that beating, everything changed to normal for me, my brain reset to default and I studied hard and passed all my exams, got admission into the university and graduated with 2.1 cert that I never used.


When I look back at what happened back then, I just smile and shake my head, I realized that if I weren't serious then I wouldn't have become the man I am now, the man with his own house, cars and money.
