Other things of note:
I spent only 50K from my salary every month. I withdraw in 5ks, 10ks but no withdrawal more than 10K. I have other accounts for emergencies & other things. I do not exceed 50K every month. Hence my disposable income for the 6 months reflected in my statement of account is N150,000 monthly.

I ensured no other money except my N200,000 salary enters every month. Even my Christmas and performance bonus was paid in a different bank account (I don't have time to be explaining to ECO)

What's in my Cover Letter?
1.Why I want to travel? I need a break from work. I've worked continuously for 3 years without break.
2. Why UK? UK affords the best vacation place in the world in terms of resorts, cultural diversity, football cultures, etc.
3. My financial situation
4. My travel itinerary (7 days)
5. Travel budget (500k)
Flight - Return ticket
Accommodation in the UK
Transport
Feeding
Miscellaneous
6. Why I will come back?
My fiancée
My parents (aged)
My job
My family reputation

7. I summarised my application.

If there's any other information required or questions, I will be glad to answer.
PS: I'm not a guru. I used all the information I gathered from this page.
From your write up, you said that you worked consistently for 3 years and you have only 300k as opening credit (this is actually a red flag because it signified that your disposal is not actually how you portrayed it. Even, had you made some investments you should have provided proof as evidence as part of list of submitted docs), then you saved up your disposal income for 6 months to get the closing credit of 1,200,000 Naira.

My point is that no body knows what the ECO are actually considering, especially for those that are asking for documents submitted. My advise is ensure your financial capability is tight and reflects clearly on your submitted bank statement and also do your homework well.

Many congrats!!

Hello All,

Last week or two I posted the refusal letter of my friend.
They raised the issues of ''opening balance and unexplained credits''. Like i said before all credits were salary credits.
So, we re-applied after few days and she just collected her VISA today (priority- exactly 5 days).

What I noticed from her application;

1. She stated that her net salary was 750,000 Naira but this is not what was reflecting on her statement and payslips.
2. During her explanation on 'what to during her visit in the UK' she made a comment that she would be visiting a friend who recently moved to the UK from Naija.
3. She uploaded 7 month's payslip (which should be okay)

What we did differently:
1. We had to clearly and concisely explained why the variations on salary credits (she receives way above the 750,000 due to site inspection bonus, weekend bonus etc). Did a tabular representation linking each months salary credits to the appropriate payslips)
2. She highlighted that she is submitting the whole of 2019 payslips plus bonus evidence received to explain the 'opening balance - which she submitted. She also did mention the fact that she has been employed since few years ago so should have an opening credit .
3. During reapplication, she removed the part that 'she would be visiting a friend who...…...''
4. We closed all concerns raised with clear evidence.

Somethings i could deduce from this process are as follows:
1. ECO's don't have time to figure out what you meant - it has to be clear and straightforward.
2. You have to carefully complete you visa application form and ensure everything tallies (ur evidence)
3. If you think that you need to further explain anything - do a summary on the added info section of the application form referencing a detailed explanation on your cover letter.

Don't rush, look at it again and ask yourself questions as if you are the ECO.

@gisselle237, where does payslips fall? financial evidence or employment evidence. Where is best to categorize it? Thanks.

Mind you, in the entire statement of account, there was only 2 credits, 40k and 116k only, which are from peeps she borrowed money that was reflected in the debit section of the statement. I wonder if they actually go through docs.

No she doesn't as I stated, she can't find the tenancy agreement.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by KingsCrossing: 3:39pm On Nov 25, 2019
Good Day All,

I'm asking on behalf of a friend. She has filled her application and have made payment and have already secured appointment for later this week.
The issue is that on the application where they asked '' residential address, how long you have lived there and if it's rented/owned/mortgaged'' she answered as follow....she rented the apartment, have stayed there for 2 years, but the issue now is that she can't find the tenancy agreement, she has called the agency but they are forming business.

If she couldn't get the tenancy agreement to upload before her appointment, will it be a show stopper? she works, earn 750,000 after tax, has a letter from her employer and so on. The proposed cost of her travel is 775,000 for 8 days.

Please will the failure to upload the tenancy agreement jeopardize her chances of been granted a visa?

Good day Guru's in the House,

I'm about to embark on the re-modelling/renovation/upgrade of our old house (5-bedroom duplex) in the Coal City.

The foundation and decking will not be tampered with at all, but all windows will be changed, it will be re-roofed, parapet would be done, and POP will be done as well to give it that modern look. There would also be some demolition and block work(s) because the house is just big and shapeless.

I'm very aware that I would or should engage an architect/engineer to come look at house and come up with the new building drawing/plan (with this a more realistic estimate could/would be ascertain), this I plan to do once I’m in town by next month. So, I would be needing a good architect/engineer that resides in Enugu that would be readily accessible and available.

Please guru's in the house kindly use your expertise/experience(s) to give a rough estimate for this project. Many thanks and God Bless.
