Position: Marketing Executive Location: Lagos Requirements Applicants should have at the least, one year Marketing experience. Applicants should reside within Dopemu, Iyana Paja and Ikeja How to Apply Interested and qualified candidates should send their CV to: info@onyxdatasystems.com. Application Deadline 9th May, 2019. Hello house! I applied for the above vacancy and within the same day, I got a Job Interview invite which reads thus: “You are invited for an interview for the position of a Sales/Marketing Executive. Venue: 66 Alimosho Road by Alaguntan Bus-stop, Iyana-Ipaja. Time: 11am.” Please how genuine is this? |
Charitoo:We are both saying the same thing bro, but I wasn’t explicit enough. However, you addressed it the right way. Kudos! |
Omolayo02:Good! But i’d advice you not to go for Interview until 120 days of your 1-20 start date. That’s consular regulation. |
Omolayo02:1. I don’t think you should go for Interview until 120 days of the start date on your 1-20. 2. Read up all transcripts including *Public health transcripts* by searching Vo Public health on the search bar and research well all through this thread. 3. Previous denials have little effect on current trails. Just prove to the VO that you are a genuine student. |
OluDare01:Thanks bro. Roger that! |
sharwama:My suggestion: go to an ordinary photoshop, take a bright and clear photo using a white background and ask them to compress the soft copy to a maximum of 230kb. If they don’t know how to do it(just like my case lol), no worries. Take both Soft and hard copies home. Use a computer to edit the image via “PAINT” and adjust the dimensions till you get a maximum of 230kb. Then you are good to upload. Very stress free. Trust! |
OluDare01:Bro thank you for your guidance. My SEVIS ID was generated from a School I no longer want to go for. How do I place this request because asking for a SEVIS transfer from them clearly means I am no longer interested in the school. |
snip09:Register on PayPal(very easy) and link your credit card to the platform, then pay via PayPal. This should resolve your query. |
Hello good people of NL, Please what’s the validity of SEVIS ID and can it be transferred for use by another school? Also, is there any particular interactive GRE thread like this thread?. Thanks. |
AgreatMan:Thanks for your message bro. Your points are well noted! Appreciate... |
Ricoco:Lmao! The last statement tho. Thanks for the advice bro. Appreciate. |
pragya2017:I think that factor depends on the discretion of the interviewing VO because an Uncle cannot petition an immigrant VISA for a nephew, knowing the consequences that comes with becoming out of status. I may be wrong tho. Thanks anyways. |
CuteRedd:Am sorry I did not look at your handle properly, hence the misrepresentation lol. |
bracelum:Bro thank you for your message. 1. I wrote the TOEFL oh even though I did not do well. 2. I have my carrier plans and intended courses as well. I am asking for good search engines because I know American schools have some very unique degrees that may relate to my career goal. Morealso, I wanted members ideas I can add to my plans. |
CuteRedd:Thank you bro. Noted! |
Predstan:Bro some gurus were already of the impression that my school is a red flag amongst other factors. Besides I want a change of school for some other reasons. |
OluDare01:Bro please can you suggest based on my profile. Thank you. WAEC: 5 distinctions and 3 credits(minimum of C4.) Undergraduate: B.SC Political Science 2.68 and WES 2.83 Graduated in 2013, served from March 2014 to March 2015, got an Admin job in February 2016 till February 2019. |
So I had my interview today for 6:30am. After reading on Nairaland how the VOs resume to work much later and my Uber guy saying the VOs don’t resume till 7am or 8am, I just felt relaxed. I arrived by 7am thereabout. I was getting worried as two youths I asked were on B1/B2 so I became anxious that my lateness may pose a problem to me. Well as I was carrying out my screening and biometrics, I just dey see coded blue paper issuance to people. I wasn’t that bothered although I was somewhat tensed tho. I read a lot about composure on this forum so I maned up. It got to my turn and the following exchange took place: The VO was an American guy in black suit( can’t remember the window) VO: Good morning Me: Good Morning( we exchanged pleasantries well) VO: where are you going to? Me: I am going to National University, San Diego, California to Study the Master of Public Health with a concentration in HealthCare Administration, starting with the English language learning. I will be working with Joseph Lanctot, Chair of the National University Planetree committee on community-wide volunteer opportunities(vo cuts in) VO: why National University? (I think I asked him to say again, not sure tho. He repeats the question) Me: (paused for a mini sec) The school of health and human services is currently successful in an ongoing research project specifically in the area I am most interested in, that is the Person-centered care model of health treatment. This has made National University the first academic institution in the world to pursue and achieve the planetree recognition. Upon completion of the master degree program, I intent to come back to Nigeria and work with the relevant health authorities to introduce this model of health treatment to the Nigerian healthcare sector(VO cuts in) VO: what do you do for work? Me: I am an administration officer with **** and the core of my responsibilities includes(I briefly highlighted my duties at work as filled in my application); first aid maintenance, Solid waste management, water treatment analysis, routine fumigation and pesticide control, etc. I also ensure compliance to Health, Safety and Environment health laws and regulations in maintenance of Fire hydrant and portable fire extinguisher, safe keeping of harmful and designated equipments, bla bla bla(at the point of my finishing, VO cuts in) VO: who is sponsoring you? Me: My uncle(mentioned his name and profession with the ********** in Los Angeles for 22 years.) VO: are you married? Me: No sir VO: do you have any children? Me: none(in my mind I was becoming happy that this may be it(White paper lol) as most delayed interviews don’t get to sponsorship questions. VO: Started Typing for long ohhhhhh( he didn’t even look at my face at this time). I was just hopishly smiling at his face. Quickly, he brought out the blue paper and told me I do not qualify for the VISA at this time. This paper will explain why. Na so I gently Comot. Please house I already submitted my DS-160 before I resigned effective 28th February, 2019. Could this be a possible cause for my Visa denial ![]() Had I known this thread a long time ago, my case would have been different but I guess we sometimes learn and become better by mistakes. My people please I am looking for Masters program that is relevant in the workforce as I am starting from SQUARE 1 like Lagosismyhome suggested. I’d like the house to please be kind to assist me with 5 good search engines for GOOD or acceptable TOP schools preferably in the WESTERN(California) part of the United States based on my profile below: WAEC: 5 distinctions and 3 credits(minimum of C4.) Undergraduate: B.SC Political Science 2.68 and WES 2.83 Graduated in 2013, served from March 2014 to March 2015, got an Admin job in February 2016 till February 2019. Age: 29 years. I’ll also appreciate if members can recommend universities and Master courses that suites my profile. Thank you. |
Olalekank:Bros try to understand my point. I am not being adamant. I totally accept her input and all others. I have already booked an Interview. If I don’t get it, fine. |
