Soraco57:
thanks for your response, she is my sibling, so by virtue of birth certificate , that is how i established our relationship. She owns a beauty salon and regsitered one under CAC. she finished sec sch in 2012 and ond in 2017. ever since then she has been into beauty care services and salon though she does no have a bank account for the business she uses her savings account for the business, she is married and she has a child with her husband though her account does not really have large flows like that until i give her 10,000 cad dollars for part payment for tution fees and 3m for gift deed. Her program is 4 years program, i have a turn over of 80m with with account balance of 22m. The school is located in toronto. she did ond in banking and finance and she applied for 4 years business administration course. Regarding the sop na one girl write for her. I do support her most of the times u know brother sister kind of assiatnce

I prove my source of income with some business invoice, cac certificate, tax clearance certificate, landed properties, anti money Laundary certificates, business registration certificate, bank statements, certificate of lagos state real estate regulation Authority, all these documents have used to get visas into Britain,Ireland and Schenghen countries. So what else can i do for her, just want help her, how can we tweak this application, can we just wait for next admission round or whats the best thing to do, does the denial has anything to do with my supporting documents or what, advise is welcome

My opinion
1. I think you didn't establish the relationship accordingly since she is married (different surnames), this led to the insufficient funds. Address this issue by setting out a different account in your name and do a court affidavit as the sponsor, don't forget to add her birth certificate as proof of relationship. note, don't withdraw from the account, and ensure it can pay at least 80% of her tuition for the duration.
2. I think the sop didn't do justice to the study gap since 2017 followed by different discipline. Address this by clear presentation in your sop
3. family ties issue. let her sop be more explicit why she needs to return to Nigeria after her program.
Good luck

Nice job Zubizareta, you have been helpful to people on this platform and I pray that God almighty will be your helper too.

Please I have some questions to ask for a friend of mine.

She gotten her visitor visa last month and before her visa came out she has applied for study permit, the problem now is that she as gotten a medical request and she’s in the middle of backoff from study permit due to financial reason.

She as paid tuition deposit to conestoga $1500, how can she retrieve the funds ?

She was suggesting that maybe she should denied the medical so the VO can refuse her and use the refusal letter for refund?

What if she did the medical and IRCC request for her passport for visa stamp, and she gotten the study permit can she use her visitor visa to travel later while she was having study permit on the same int passport?

I noticed you gotten your visitor visa and study permit?

Have you travel for your study? If Yes does your visitor visa was canceled ?

Or the two visa i.e (Visitor and study permit) can be used in the same int passport or the boarder officer will cancel one?

Thanks

Whatever you do, ensure you do not get a Visa refusal, it could hurt later

Teezkid:

Thanks for your reply if 1 is the reason then I will have to reply because

1) I sent it just once. My bad.
2) I included family pictures where we both appeared
5) my reason for asking was consistency if I use the old portal to re-apply or use the new portal.

Anon123:

1) Yes...How many times did you send the supporting docs. Most times, it is advised you send several times to ensure the docs get across.

2) You used an uncle who is regarded as a third party. You failed to demonstrate convincingly your relationship with the sponsor with explanations and evidence(both documented and pictorial), whatsapp chat too etc. That is why you were denied based on finance. Also the sponsor is meant to show true resolve to sponsor you by showing commitment either through issuing a cheque or transferring funds to you.

3) It is possible you failed to show more significant ties to your home country either work, family or assets.

5) Using either old or new doesnt mean the application will be processed faster or it will guarantee you with a positive outcome.

Hello NL, please I need your advice. I applied for a study permit for 1 year program starting in fall 2022.

I submitted my study permit on May 24th using the Gc key/cic (old portal) without attaching my supporting documents.
Same day I received Biometrics request which I did on 30th May and updated

On June 2nd, I uploaded my supporting documents using the webform.

On June 13th, I got a mail. That application was refused.

Reasons
"Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel
for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).

• You have significant family ties in Canada.

My questions:
1. Is it possible I was accessed without the supporting documents just the IME forms I submitted and proof of sponsorship?

2. proof of sponsorship is my uncle and had a balance of 10m. Is 10m not enough after paying 75% tuition accommodation not inclusive. Proof of sponsorship stated that accomodation will be paid on arrival.

3. I don't have any family member in Canada. Any idea why I got "You have significant family ties in Canada" ?

4. I have requested for GCMS and 30 day reply date, should be July 17 but is it not far to reapply since my program starts in September 1.?

5. When reapplying do I use the old portal or the new portal.

Thanks a lot for the quick response.
