IRCC processing time Is 12 weeks, Jan 11th will make it 12 weeks. Some people have gotten PPR within 4 weeks here tho but it's extremely rare at this time.

My advice, send webforms/emails for feedback if he has done medicals and biometrics and watch your school's resumption time to know when to defer and retain the admission while waiting for IRCC.

Good luck.

Processing time is 9 weeks now. It changed yesterday

Where did you submit your passport to? Lagos or Abuja? And have you tried calling them?
Gilb231:
It’s been 41 days since I submitted my passport to IRCC. I don’t understand the reason for the delay. I’ve really lost a lot to this delay.

That's great, they are getting there.
This thing used to be 4 weeks before COVID came and disrupted things.

Did you mean defer till Jan 2023 or 2024. I doubt your school will let you defer for a full year but try.
If it works then notify IRCC.
Remember your visa will not exceed your passport validity.

Dear Forum Members,

I am deeply elated to share my PPR . I have been a silent reader and I am writing from overseas.

I am still jubilant but this is brief:

- Date Applied: September 1, 2022
- Biometrics completed: September 6. 2022
- Upfront Medical (May) Medical Updated to Passed: October 4, 2022
- Background Check: In Progress
- Eligibility: Not Started
- BVL& PPR Dec.7

I applied by myself though used an agent for immigration guidance (Honestly recommend this).
September 6 was the 13th week since I applied so I was prompted to duly send emails to Nairobi, Lagos, Abuja, Beijing, etc.

I wish this whole text will inspire massive hope in those waiting.

My name is XXXXXX, I am contacting you to kindly gain an update on my application which is now past the thirteen weeks duration. To date, I am yet to get a favorable decision.

Gic is usually used to open a Canadian account and fund it for use as POF, I doubt you will be able to fund it in Naira i.e have a Naira Gic account.

The VO assumed the sponsor was not related to you. Do you bear the same last name? Did you submit your birth certificate and documents proving you are his son?

Also, it looks like they have an issue with the funds or the source. Is your dad self-employed? If yes, are the transactions consistent because poor cashflows can make the account seem inflated? Any lump sum in dad’s account? Did you submit the sponsor’s letter of employment or, if self-employed, business registration documents? How much was the balance on dad’s account?
Because of your age and intended education level, the VO might check your income. Is the salary significant? What was your tuition fee?

Ensure there are no loopholes in your app when you reapply. Going for an undergraduate diploma at your age is enough to scrutinize your application, so try to eliminate any other issues that can arise.
Jojocrawch:
Good afternoon ladies and Gents, my application was refused, reason: financial assets and personal status, (see GCMS notes below)

course of study: Diploma in hospitality management which is in tandem with my work experience.

Sponsor: my father, I had 4million in my account, no lump sum, payed first semester tuition.

Note: I’m 35 years old, i do not have a first degree which is why I couldn’t go for a masters program however I have a very long work experience in the aforementioned occupation, could this be a deterrence?

Our eloquent Guru’s should please analyze my GCMS notes for me thanks

Find an immigration lawyer or licensed consultant to help you address it

Hi guys, I'm in dire need of your assistance
My application which is almost going to two years now, I got a message first time since August 2021, letter of procedural fairness about my study permit stating I haven't paid the allotted 235 CAD for my study permit
The payment was made for me by a family friend earlier this year I still have the receipt with me right now
After going rounds and checking through multiple threads I've come to a conclusion that it was probably charge back
Please what is the next step if he claims there wasn't charge back
Is there any way I can verify that there was a charge back
I've been given 7 days to clear my name or I'll recieve a 5 year ban and I'm only left with 4
Please assist me

chat me up within a week 180k Abuja headquarters

Hi, my brother is about to do capturing this Friday for his passport renewal. Can we talk about this fast tracking please? His BVL has dropped but his OPR hasn't, we figured that it is because of the fact that his passport expires in May 2023.

Some people who get BVL without OPR or refusal, I think (personal opinion) that it is sometimes due to the fact that your LOA is invalid or has expired or your passport expiry is within 6 months, just my thought though.

Nah, that their tracking website doesn't work. Tried it severally and it kept returning error messages.
If you got a tracking ID from vfs it means they have received your ppt, it Shud start with 2022...........
Just keep asking them for feedback and also checking your email for their response.

Good afternoon Everyone

Please, I need help with my study permit application.
I am also applying for my children (age 7 and 9) and do not know where to upload their documents

Is there a different process for applying for one's kids? Do I have to initiate a separate application for them?

Please, help

Thank you

Use MyBankStatement instead. Walk to your bank and request for it. The embassy will be able to view it directly instead of compressing and they are not able to read your statement

Good afternoon everyone, I am new here and I'm not sure if I am on the correct thread but I wanted to ask about the Canada study permit and people's timelines, my younger brother got admission to study in January, and we accepted the offer and submitted his visa application (first applicant, by ourselves no agent), we applied on October 11th, he did his biometrics already but no communication since, and his classes starts the first week of January, I am a bit nervous and don't know what to do now to quicken the process for him, please if anyone can familiar with the process can process feedback, advise or anything that has worked. God bless you!!!
start sending webforms. Then send a mail to the school if they can defer to May or there is only online class he can join in january if he gets his decision late.

If you can defer, the send new LOA given to you by the school thru webform to IRCC
