Us tech 30 index , sp500 index are going down. Btc can't push up if those two are going down. The big money guys don't do much on weekends. If you can recall, the dump on btc happened on a weekday (Monday).

Just like majority of the alts, Sol is looking up to big brother BTC for price movement.
Even though some alts like ADA have defended the bears quite impressively, such can't be said of Sol.

Looking at the one month chart, we can see overwhelming selling pressure.
A new ATL of $25 was hit, but currently holding grounds at $28 in intraday trading D1 (One day timeframe)

If BTC can keep the momentum going, then expect sol to add more gains, albeit not as bullish as some other alts.

On the other hand, if the $17k support of BTC is retested, expect more selling pressure on sol, and will likely drag the price down to the monthly low of $25 or even $20 as we can see on the monthly chart.

Weekly Price is looking likely to close and open above $20k, which is another positive sign.

After your suggestion on leveraged tokens, i did some thinking and I came to this conclusion.
Trading more than one altcoin is simply MULTIPLYING your risk - the charts are all similar except for TRX. If you lose one, you lose all. If you are risk conscious, It is better to FOCUS on one altcoin and one index and use like 3x leverage for futures trading.
The Liquidation point of 3x is the BEST S/L i.e. a 33 percent increase of decrease is enough as s/l.
Nobody knows it all in business. We reconsider things and adjust everyday.

Tbh, i am doing sth similar with deriv broker. I trade cfds on altcoins there. I noticed they have two unique instruments there...btc/eth and btc/ltc. These instruments mirror the movement of the btcdom chart in some way (lead or lag). With all the sideways movement on my trades(algo, trx and xlm), I picked a trade on btc/eth and it is going well.
I am still not a fan of leveraged tokens (...i no get energy to study am) but i buy into the idea of trading diverse instruments related to btc like btcdom or defi index.

It's all good.
The idea is to make money whichever way in this bear market.
No be because of bear market, person no go trade again.
As long as there's price movement, a trader should be able to take profits, no matter the direction.

TA is good. Fundamental is also good. Peter Brandt makes his calls using TA and he called the top of btc at 20k in 2018. That being said, I agree with you that KingSteve's suggestions will only create more problems than solutions. Person never master futures and him wan begin dey trade leveraged tokens. D thing no align with me at all - at least if na futures, i fit correlate with btc no where price fit go. Leveraged tokens na true OYO (on Your Own) trading. I pity person wey dey follow that advice. I explained in my write up that leveraged tokens work almost like futures trading.

For instance, there are BTCUP and BTCDOWN.
BTCUP tracks the price of BTC and moves exactly in the same direction with BTC price movement.

BTCDOWN on the other hand, goes in the opposite direction of BTC price movement.

Do a little research, and you'll discover other leveraged tokens apart from BTCUP and BTCDOWN.
