Na wah for una oooo the CDS in Buhari's time didn't we not celebrate his appointment as an igbo appointment?

Take and read what Ohanaeze General assembly said about Gen Irabor appointment as CDS..

In a statement by its President-General, Onuorah Onyeachonam, yesterday, the group said President Buhari excluded Igbo from the appointments and urged him to appoint the most senior Igbo in the force as IGP.

“There is no Igbo man among the newly appointed service chiefs. Those who claim that the newly appointed Chief of Defence Staff, Maj Gen Leo Irabor is an Igbo man should tell us if Irabor is an Igbo name,” he said.

Ika isn't a mixture of Ika and Benin dialects please Ika is Igbo with small Benin loan words

An average Ika will understand central Igbo

But will never understand Benin language

Like I said earlier. All these are your assumption and Ika people have written their history in tabloid. The earlier you accept this fact, the better for your sanity.

However, Ika will always wine, dine, inter-marry, share culture & identity and do business with the core Igbos. As for changing their history to claim their ancestors are not Benin, its fa-fa-fa foul

Ika is not a mixture of Igbo and Benin language but simply Igbo that developed some new words with Benin as next door neighbours. Igbos recognized both Emefiele and Okowa as great Igbo sons.

Does Igbos recognise Emefiele CBN appointment as Igbo cabinet slot?

The reason Ika and Ndokwa people have greatly withdrawn from this Anioma nonsense is because of some Aniocha Oshimili people. When Ika wants to release statement or discuss about their identity and politics, they restrict it to Ika, when Ukwani wants to do same, they restrict it to Ndukwa but some overzealous Oshimili people keep trying to impose their identity on everyone trying to createa new ethnic group that has never existed. Anioma has never been an ethnic group but a group of related ethnic groups that are completely independent and autonomous.

Good comment. I was perplexed seeing people calling Anioma an ethnic group.. What the heck is that. The Ika and Ndukwa people are seeing the game plan and they will not succumb to that fallacy

Did Igbo subject Anioma people to neglect during NCNC period?
Ika people have identity crisis issue and that is not our problem, you guys should define who you are.

If they have identity crisis issue let them be. No be by force.

It's like I'm not getting something clearly. Please what language does an Ika person speak? Even the king of Agbor bears an igbo name Keagborekuzi (that handsome king)
Ika person speaks Ika as a dialect. It's mixture of Igbo and Benin language, though the igbo language is predominant.

The problem Ika people have with Igbos is that the core Igbos dont regard Ika as part and parcel of their clans, even when it comes to political appointment, Igbos dont recognise an Ika position as Igbo slot.

They are Temporary residents they are supposed return to the country of origin..when visa expires, VO needs to make sure they are what they claimed on visa applications..otherwise refusals on tie to country of origin doesn't make any sence!

As for the access to people's privacy..I dey laugh grin..if someone can submit genuine documentation of properties, landed properties, building C of O etc in a visa application....
Then what is source of funds!! That you cannot submit;
You submitted these documents willingly..they asked for source of funds..you enter privacy mode grin

I think you are mixing things up ...

..if someone can submit genuine documentation of properties, landed properties, building C of O etc in a visa application....
Then what is source of funds!! That you cannot submit;

whoever submits the documents you listed is doing so at their own will to show their asset as home-ties or proof of fund for intended travel purpose as stipulated in the IRCC visa application procedural guideline and policy which is obtained on their website or you request for it via the Access to information privacy ATIP. This is different from a VO poking nosing into the source of income inflow of a sponsor (mind you the sponsor is not the visa applicant and shouldn't be under any privacy scrutiny. Even they (IRCC) will always inform you that you are not oblige or mandated to disclose your personal information under the privacy law act of Canada except if requested, so why are they acting against their own policy, is it because the applicants are from third-world countries?

They are Temporary residents they are supposed return to the country of origin..when visa expires, VO needs to make sure they are what they claimed on visa applications..otherwise refusals on tie to country of origin doesn't make any sence!
Nobody dispute that, but VO has always been 99.9% wrong about their "assumption or intent" of making sure these temporary resident visa applicants return home when their visa expires as record as shown a sizeable number never return home.

Having read through posts and comments, I want to believe it's pertinent for visa applicants to pay attention to POF, source of fund on account and home tie.

In the recent time, about 65% of refusal is coming as a result of inadequate POF or failure to convincingly
explain the source of POF especially with sudden heavy deposit into your account, more to that 35% of denials were based on insufficient assets/home ties.

It can be so painful that an applicant will get denied after spending so much, even on POF due to unexplained source of the fund backed with proper verifiable documents.

.........

Therefore, it not all about including landed property title documents only in your application, you need additional document that tells the current monetary worth of the property(ies) and would also demonstrate how the property(ies) will motivate your departure after your study or vacation and how you plan to utilise the property(ties) upon your return home. VERY IMPORTANT!!!

That vital document you need is a valuation report. Valuation report is a document prepared by a firm of registered Estate Surveyors & Valuer.....So, it can also be used as proof of additional source of income as the case may be

Above all ensure you have enough accessible fund on account before you landed in Canada as you might be required to show your balance at the point of entry or else you can be sent back home and if you're fortunate to scale through, life could be difficult if you don't have enough.

Remain Blessed

Even IRCC themselves know they are only acting on our "Japa gullibility" to demand unnecessary source of fund documentation. There is a limit to which a VO can have access to people's privacy. Why is it that all these uneccessary source of fund documentation they ask for is only applicable to Temporary resident visa applicants and not permanent resident visa.

This is one of the reason some applicants falsify and tell huge lies to convince VO, and the country keep admitting liars as residents even their citizens can't bear it any longer

That wasn't the problem you had multiple lump sum unexplained and probably didn't back it up with documents and your sponsor's source of funds probably was not documented or convincing enough, if you want to reapply kindly explain the lump sum and proof the source of funds of your sponsor.

The officer is being stupid, most of the temporary resident visa officer dont follow IRCC procedural guideline and policy that guides them on what criteria they should considered while rejecting or granting visa application. They act on applicant's visa application, mostly especially for people from our continent, with disdain.

There is no where in IRCC guidelines where it is stated that a sponsor must show their source of income flow aside presenting the bank statement or other acceptable proof of fund for the visa application. It is all due to our oversabi, they have now taken it as a norm to act beyond their jurisdiction looking for what is not lost to deny visas.

Imagine a VO rejecting a visa application because sponsor didnt want to show his salary account in accordance to the freedom of protected personal information privacy act of Canada, even though the sponsor clearly demonstrated their income via their other bank statement alongside with their employment letter, payslip, reference letter from employer which is also one of the govt agency in Canada. The slowpoke VO denied a visa because "sponsor refuse to show their "source" of PoF fund which is the sponsor's salary account bank statement" ignoring their own IRCC procedural guideline and policy which states:

"...A temporary resident visa application will not be refused just because the host’s personal information is not provided with the application... "_

You haven't given your definition of junk food. The definition of junk food is relative. Whether you are born in Canada or Lesotho, every culture have their delicacies and if it doesn't aligned it can be termed as junk depending on how they view it.

The first time I was invited to an Irish thanksgiving, I was given tasteless potatoe and turkey meshed in sugar. To me it was junk because it never aligned with African delicacies and taste bud.

Go to coastco and see the definition of junk food.. some white will fill their carts with soda(Pepsi, Coke etc) and potatoe chips, and chocolates, is that not junk??

I appreciate your estimates, however, I believe the grocery budget may require some revision. It seems unlikely that a family of five would spend CAD 1,800 per month on groceries. I suggest a maximum budget of CAD 500, although even that amount may be considered generous.

While I understand CAD500 monthly groceries is too small for a family of 5.......$1800 is still high in my own opinion (Except you are staking your groceries on Africa dishes, which are expensive here).

Dont follow the crowd to do 'wanna be" online, instead budget your groceries according to the need of your family. All those commenting junk food in this forum, I dont know what they term as junk food. Dont let anyone deceive you I have live in this country long enough to believe people using their own lifestyle to judge other lifestyle. Canada is a place that treat u the way u want it to. You cut your coat according to your expenses ( but dont starve your family with the basic need), if you follow the crowd then be ready to defend your style of living.

525 dollars for 3 Square meal per day for 1 week for 14" large chicken pizza 🍕

If you use this money to purchase goods in a Canadian 🇨🇦 store..depending on the province and any province..you will pay more than and upto 35$ on tax..
That means you will pay upto 535$
This can tell you how expensive the country is!!
I think is the groceries that is the error here. grin grin.all products purchased in store per month for home usage and for human consumption estimate per week 450-550$

$450-$550 weekly is still in on high side, except if that family is a gluton or they want to be eating only African delicacies. Most of these children rarely eats African dishes other than pizza and burger...lol

It will not affect it if you package the application well. I am a Canadian citizen too, I have sponsored 2 of my siblings and the 3rd sibling’s application was submitted Oct 5. I did the applications all by myself too.

What I did is, if the person is a minor, I use my Canadian SOA and if not, I pay first year tuition and deposit living expenses into their account.

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much. Your response is great! I hope you don't mind if PM you.

25 percent in 2/3 of the states means it can be any state . But insisting that a state has to be 25 percent makes the votes there special .

For example saying that any presidential candidate MUST make 25 percent in Ekiti state in addition to the other 2/3 states gives Ekiti a special status and a more valuable vote . Meaning elections will be hot in that state because a candidate might win all the other states and lose Ekiti and still not be declared president . Do you understand now ?

It is what it is, constitution is constitution, if that is what it means it must be followed to the latter without inference to twist the law. If anyone feels indifferent let them amend the constitution in the right quarter, that is why we have the senate and house of rep.

If a constituion says only the North will rule for 16years and you feel cheated, then address it by having the constitution amended. We shouldn't be interjecting the constitution with another clause that all Nigerians are equal and then nullify it with emotional logic

....There would have been Chaos if the 25 percent abuja issue was misinterpreted. It would mean votes in abuja have higher value than votes anywhere else in Nigeria . Imagine an election where a candidate meets all other requirements but fell short in abuja . That means he can’t be declared winner .

It also means presidential elections in abuja will be an all out war which is chaos . Elections will be very violent in abuja and there will be huge transfer of voters card to abuja during elections because the vote there will have superior value .......

Really, so 25% of 2/3 states, does it also make other states have special status?

Why are there no huge transfer of voters card and war in the 2/3 of 36 states that are also given special status?
