God put the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden to give Adam and Eve a choice to obey Him or disobey Him. Adam and Eve were free to do anything they wanted, except eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Genesis 2:16-17.

In order for Adam and Eve to truly be free, they had to have a choice; not just a single choice but many other choices to enhance their adaptability to the



environment.

Someone referred to God as a tyrant or dictator on the first page which is the exact opposite of God.
God always leaves us with choices, although He makes known to us what's good and bad, however He never compels or enforces anything on us.

God created Adam and Eve with the capacity to choose to love God and walk in His good ways. That would be absolutely pointless if they were never presented with an opportunity to make a choice of any kind!
Man would have been like robots, even scientists here on earth are not pleased with how robots work as they cannot make rational decisions outside the installed algorithms.

God created Man and Man was supposed to continue the creation work without God and you think Man should not be presented a free will to make his own decisions ? I don't think so.

The forbidden fruit was just a boundary set by God, it could be forbidden location, forbidden touch, forbidden talk..... even angels in heaven are not spared from boundaries that's why we have fallen angel (Angel that crossed the boundaries).


Why did God plant the tree knowing that Adam would fail?

This question is one-sided and it shows biasness in your thinking.
Adam had a choice, and he chose to sin. The idea that he was "bound to fail the test" is false. Consider the angels - some fell and some did not.

Adam had just only one law and he chose to default, is it God's fault ? NO!


Why did he not foresee the manipulation?

This line of reasoning assumes that foreknowledge necessitates fatalism, and eliminates accountability. Both assumptions are false.
Yes, God knew what Adam would choose - but it was Adam who chose.

Job was presented with something stricter but he chose not to default, why don't you give credit to God on Job's success since you blame God for Adam's fault ?

He wanted them to chose yet ...it’s was the same fruit that had the power for them to know between good and bad....so they didn’t know if it was good or bad ..yet the old man put it right there ...right there before then ..that forbidden thing under their nose with no knowledge of good or bad..and yet blames them ...it’s like putting a naked electric wire in the middle of your home then tell your 3 year old kid never to touch it...
