TravelMy First Time In A Train, A Raw Story Of The Train Experance On Tuesday by kingui(op): 3:23am On Jan 25, 2017
The night before the trip we I was so excited
COMING TO AMERISUKKA!
I'm planning to travel to East sometime in this week. Since I'm
not really hurrying, I decided to try the train. I thought it wise
to go get info today, ahead of time.
First boarding terminal is at Port Harcourt and last stop is at
Kano, on this route. I found out they reserve the first class
coach, giving preference to people traveling further away as
this was more profitable for the corporation.
The policy indicated that first class tickets to nearer
destinations were ONLY given on the day of departure if there
were still vacancies. The first class coach is quite comfortable
and spacious while second class option, though not so bad, I
was told was a prayer point...sort of.
I needed the first class in this because I already have a
second class from the University and since my mom didn't
give birth to an idiota, why would I use my money to buy
another second class? I went to pay for the ticket, knowing I
needed to convince whoever I met at the ticket boot to do the
impossible and get me the first class ticket today.
I cleared my throat of phlegm and used my best "This is Tolu
from MTN customer care, how may I help you" voice to call
out. A permanent smile was already waiting on my face for
whoever was coming to answer. A fair, middle aged woman
came out with a baby. Baby, yes (I'm good with babies)! I
spoke to the baby first. Winning the baby over may just make
getting the ticket easier. Well, it turned out she was not the
one to attend to me.
Then a younger, dark lady came to attend to me. Change of
game plan. I just smiled at her calmly for about 8 seconds. No
words, just a genuine smile! She didn't know what to make of
it at first but soon enough she smiled too. Then we both burst
out laughing (thanks to Catalina and Sebastian, y'all are
awesome; Telemundo works). When we finally spoke, she told
me same thing about the policy. Well, I smiled again. She then
began asking me questions. We spoke a short while. She took
a deep breath, drew out a pile and got me a first class ticket. I
paid, thanked her and left.
I'm coming to Amerisukka...by rail!

After the trip
PLEASE DON'T SAY NO.

(The Salvageable Nigerian railway system)
I want to start by apologizing to all those who have become
inspired to try traveling by train in Nigeria, because of my
previous post. I'm so sorry. I did not know much.
I bought a first class ticket to join a train from Port Harcourt to
Kano (though I was to stop at Enugu). You can imagine the
romantic notions I had about how the trip would go; how I
would look out of the window in slow motion while having
some melancholic background music to reminisce with on
anything; while my imaginary long, jet black, silky hair would fly
around in a carefree manner. Most of what I had thought
about traveling by train was informed by European subway
tubes! I know, right? I gave too much credit to a government
run commercial system in Nigeria. I shall now attempt to share
my experience as briefly as possible.
First, I arrived at the station at about 5:49 am. The girl who
sold me the ticket made it feel like coming by 6am was equal
to missing the train. Well I did my best to be early yet we only
boarded the train at 6:49 am. Like most Nigerian institutions,
they failed to keep to time. I was like the 5th person to get
into the 1st class coach. I immediately noticed the odor, it
wasn't so strong but it was well represented among the gases
in that coach.
At first, I thought that those of us in the first class coach had
hit jackpot. It was properly lighted and the air conditioning
system was up. We sat, took pictures and generally relaxed.
Things began to go bad as we made a stop at Imo River.
At first, the ride was so cool I even had enough time to
fantasize about being an action hero in a movie. I imagined
one grumpy, tall guy in a red baseball cap as a terrorist whom
I would fight on top the moving train, save the passengers and
ride into the sunset. Soon enough, our coach was jammed
with passengers with both 2nd class and 1st class tickets
forcing their way in; so jammed and hot, I was cured of my
action hero day dream almost immediately (even James Bond
would fail his mission, if it was to be carried out in that coach.
How can you shoot when your hand is squeezed to your sides
by standing committee?) We were told that the 2nd class
coaches had reached their max, we had to put up with the
new passengers. Things got even worse at Aba terminal.
There seemed to exist little or no synergy between stations or
their activities. Why would the train be filled and yet tickets
would still be sold at successive stations. So we would arrive
to large crowds of passengers waiting for an already filled
train with valid tickets. If the train is filled on booking at PH,
we shouldn't see large crowds of people with ticket waiting for
us at successive station.
The Railway Corporation also appeared grossly under-staffed.
We had just one young boy trying to control our coach of over
300, sweating, angry and volatile passengers. There were
several near clashes or mob incidents as bot tempers and
temperatures rose.
Now, something really unhealthy was that, the first class
coach was built in such a way it has very little ventilation
because it is supposed to always be air-conditioned. But, as a
matter of tradition, the power generator always breaks down at
some point (or so claimed the staff). Then we had to all
squeeze into this very hot coach. The little vent present, can't
even be opened as dust and soot from burning bushes flow in
and choke the passengers. It was hot, we're locked in and
tightly packed. That's the picture.
Asides this, the management of haulage was very
unprofessional and undependable. A passenger who sat in
front of me, had paid to transport 10,000 fingerlings. He had
the fishes in perforated jerry cans with water at the heavy
luggage section and would come down at every stop to check
it and change water as necessary. But in between Aba and the
next stop. He had lost his fishes- they died. Some of the new
passengers had had their luggage thrown over the vent of his
cans and killed his fishes.
Wouldn't it have been more solid if inventory of luggage was
categorized according to such sensitivity? Wouldn't it have
been better if an adequate number of staff had been employed
so that some could be fully assigned to handle luggage so no
one gets a damaged good after paying for the service?
If there was any asthmatic person in that coach, an attack
would have been certain. I am not sure there's any medical
help on board, not even a first aid box. I may be wrong on that,
though. I hope. The children were the worse hit. So many of
them were crying almost constantly.
Because of the minimal coordination at each stop, there was
much delay before the journey would commence. We left Port
Harcourt at about 7:11 am and arrived Enugu at 6:55pm.
Almost 12 hours for a journey of roughly 5hours. If the
departures and arrivals at successive terminals are overseen
from an overall monitoring center with sub-monitoring
centers, the delays could be significantly cut out.
People of Nigeria, the railway system is a viable transport
option but the corporation or the ministry of transport, in
following status quo will just kill it. The overload of people and
luggage will exert faster wear on the trains.
My humble suggestion?
1. Get more staff to man the coaches (to maintain order in the
trains) and to handle bookings at the stations.
2. Restructure the system by creating a functional central
control station to collate, process and manage trips, oversee
the system. This will end the current kamikaze approach of
transportation; come one, come all!
3. Draw up and enforce policies to ensure weight capacity is
not exceeded so outrageously.
4. Carve out a special unit from the corporation to receive,
process and handle passengers' luggage in a more
professional manner.
5. Increase the number of first class coaches. A lot of of
people fought hard to get into the limited first class coach.
They had money to pay too but there was just one.
6. Better the conditions of the first class coaches. When we
had to open the few available small vents, we coughed and
choked from dust and soot. I'm lamenting but I was in first
class. Stretch that to appreciate how bad second class
coaches must have been.
7. Re-orientation of the security personnel on board. We're
customers, they should stop shouting, pushing and hitting
people at the slightest offence like we came to write JAMB.
Let's show our civility by how well we treat even the bad eggs
among us.
8. And change the embarrassing ticket. It won't be bad if the
tickets read the actual amount they cost instead of N13.45.
(Do share. Maybe someone who is in some position to effect
some change is on your friend list).

Christianity EtcRe: As A Christian Have You Experience Miracle Personally Or Seen It Happen? by kingui(m): 9:25pm On Dec 18, 2016
KaLuCh:
you know when I read people saying all that crap about No God, I just can't stop wondering how anyone could get so blind, but it gets a lot unsurprising when you know a little about the deception of the devil.

my experiences with God are beyond the written pages of any book and the four walls of any religious establishment. And unless reality is only as real as you call it, I don't know what a human will say to get me to think otherwise about God's existence. And I'm certain everyone who's experienced Him in a similar personal manner shares of my conviction. I have too many stories of God literally stepping into the day and completely overriding every known human theories. They are many, way too many. And I'll talk about a few. This is going to be a bit long but just bear with me if you care.

- My elder bro was diagnosed with a liver condition when I was about 13. Before the diagnosis he was always sickly, grew up feeble, in and out of hospitals, he basically lived off drugs, herbal, modern, name it... of course you'd be dead on to guess the financial implications of that tasted bitter to my folks. Well when he was finally diagnosed with the liver condition, doctor told my parents they waited too late, my bro's liver was all swollen and he just couldn't possiby live for very long. True to his profession, he prescribed even more outrageously expensive drugs to just keep him comfortable. Well a few months after, my bro, who worships at Winners Chapel, (i go to Christ Embassy), decides he's going to get his healing or die, goes for Shiloh, and did not return with the condition. He is 33 now, it's been over 15 years. The doctor thought it was doubtlessly a miracle. Tell my bro there is no God and he will assure your own dad isn't real then.

- I was 16, had a friend Victor, we all went to Christ Embassy, he was my cell leader and I think a year younger. A certain friday, we didn't have much people in our meeting, it was just 3 of us. Victor says we should pray and go out, see who we could talk to. There's this play-field close by, every evening youths go there to play or watch football. We decide to go out there and Victor, he was the bold one, always praying and all, he meets the group playing that Friday, speaks to a few of them. This one guy, let's call him Emma starts making jests of us while his friends laugh. I thought it was silly being there and wanted to just get out but not victor, he tells Emma he'd demonstrate something to him, he will touch him and if Emma doesn't fall then they can get back to playing and he'll never bother ever. Emma laughs, gets the attention of more of his boys, and they are still laughing and victor begins to speak in tongues, touches the guy on the head, and he sprawls on the floor, rolling on the ground. Victor repeats the same thing with three more and they were all on the floor. Now I've been laid hands on and I fell, but I'd never seen anything like that. The guys too, cos 22 of them followed us back to the cell meeting and we had a slam. Next Sunday, they were in church, stood before the altar and told the story themselves.

- Now I dont want to talk about miracles that's happened to me, I'll talk about the ones I witnessed first hand. 2008 was my first time to see a cripple walk. It was a program with Pastor Chris, usually what happens is they don't allow people with health conditions go out and meet pastor on stage, however if on the course of ministrations you got healed, you told an usher and they got you on the testimony queue or so. I was new to church, my first ever program with pastor Chris. I was standing by a guy on a wheel chair, crippled I supposed by the way he looked. Then Pastor got praying for people on the wheel chair, said they attempt what they couldnt do before. This young man on a wheel chair next to me tried to edge forward, I guess to get closer to the front so Pastor could see him. Well ushers wouldn't let him, apparently if they allowed every one to go meet pastor, there sure will be a problem. So people around the guy turned their attention towards him and started to pray for him, just pray for him, he kept trying to push himself up off the wheel chair, you could see the determination on his face. I still remember it cos it was my first experience. The people kept praying for him, and he kept trying to push himself up and snap, he leapt up. And began to stagger up to the front, man I stood there crying, feeling goose pimples all over. I'd never forget that night.

- Another one, just this Feb in Ghana, healing school. An elderly woman on clutches, the pastor ministering, name Eddie Owase, he gave everyone the same charge after preaching, he said ignore the pains and try to do what you could not before. Of course a few minutes later the entire hall erupts into frenzy, but I had my eyes on this woman, she got tired off waiting, went out front with her clutches, assisted by two young men. And when she got to the front of the church, she dropped the clutches, the two young men on each side supported her and as she walked she shouted I am walking, she kept shouting, everyone joined up too and chorused you are walking. If you were inside the hall you'd actually feel an electrifying presence, it was so strong as the church shouted with the woman.. and then she frees herself of the supporting men and starts walking unaided. Slowly at first, and after a few steps, took off.

I did not watch these on TV. I was there.

Another one... a dear Aunt. She had cancer, her husband is a politician, wealthy. she a business woman now a pastor. Totally healed and growing back her hairs now. I was there at the program she got healed. I actually took her myself. And a friend also, Segun, went out to invite a man who was bed ridden to the same program. He actually said to the man's son that if they went to the program and the man didn't get healed, they can take it that God isn't real. The man came home walking. We were in school fellowship but the man and his family actually came to the fellowship to testify.

Of course they were many in the same programs who went back unhealed, and I can't honestly say why but it could all boil down to faith.

I have seen and experienced so many miracles I can't simply write all of them. In my family, we have miracles all the time, financially, professionally, health-wise. Life threatening situations and diseases averted, you can't open up your mouth and tell any of my siblings there's no God. They will look at you like you lost something.

This year, I have had so many testimonies I cry when I thank God about them. But do you know my strongest conviction of God? His voice. I hear Him, and He's become so real. Now imagine leaving your dad at home and on getting to work, a friend who's never had anything to do with him directly meets you and says, hey bro, your dad isn't real. He's a mere figment of your imagination.
thank you for your testimony, I read it at the right time it just stared up my faith. I was just having some wrong thoughts now but the Holy Spirit just lead me here to rethink. you may not understand I'm a student and also preach the gospel but my body is so much afflicted with terrible sickness that sometimes I fall asleep crying but by morning I wake up and still move about healing people and given the message of grace love and healing but when I come back to my room it just seems that the same principle doesn't work for me. so I was just crying and wondering if God actually made this my body himself when I read your post. thank you very much for taken out time to type all that. I love you
to the actual post I have seen miracles lead hands on people and I can say that Gods not dead when it comes to healing the sick and stretching forth his hand in impossible conditions .
I believe in miracles even till tomorrow.

1. Even when you want to break up, do it peacefully because you might again meet and need the person in future.

And....

2. Never you trust a woman, even when they seem loving and caring, they can easily backstab and betray your love and trust for them.

Finally...

3. Women, I mean all women have one problem or another, you can only know this when they become close to you. Its either she is facing family problem, or her past still hunt her, or she is facing financial problem, or she is facing academical problem, or she sees her period irregularly or she is always having stomach ache, or she finds it hard to love or .... just too numerous to mention.

To those ladies that intend to quote me and post trash, kindly know that I am not a kid in age and as at the last count I have dated 22 girls, from almost all tribes, religion, etc, so I know what I am saying, Nigeria women are all problematic.

And an advice to my fellow men...

4. Use every opportunity to fvck your gf pussy whenever it stares at you because she could dump you for another guy the next day morning no matter how much she claim to love you.

Final whistle...

5. Women crave for dick more than men crave for pussy.
my brother is like your problem is bigger than the women's own you mean you have joined your spirit with more than 22 women. please are you married
