Please I need your help, my J1 visa was denied in May.
I have applied again but unable to get an appointment date.
Anytime I click the option I have been denied in the last 6 months, it shows me no available dates.
I am contemplating using the regular appointment option. Does it matter?
Someone said it doesn't because it's a separate company not the embassy. I am really in a dilemma.
Will it course them to deny me again?

Because my training will start this June and I am already running late.

Am confused and i would like you to help me understand why i was refused b2 visa.

I am a student at a medical school in the carribean , i have been in the school for 5semesters.
Long story short.. i applied for a visit to the usa for my next semester vacation and i was refused. I told the consulate officer that i was a medical student in saint kitts, i told her my sponsor was my mum pam.sec in imo state civil service and that i ll be staying in a friends place who is a student at my school and a part time nurse in NJ , countries i have been to, l told her all of them. She didnt ask me for any of my supportimg documents , not even my school id or any proof of my schooling in saint kitts. She just told me your not eligible and that was it. This happened yesterday.

My question is, what did i do wrong or say wrong?
Is it proper that she didnt even take any look at my documents and rejected me?

I have been trying to understand what happened , what i did wrong ? Please kindly help me make sense of her decision to deny me. And also i would like to know what i should do differently if i choose to apply again. Anticipating your reply. Thank you.

mamawa123: You don't need to fill another application. D visa is a multiple visa if approved you can travel at anytime.

so it wont be regarded as falsification because my booking confirmation says otherwise?

After submitting my visitor transit visa online application, i realized i made a mistake at the travel dates and purpose part,

Q13: on which date do you intend to the UK? i mistakenly wrote the date my flight will arrive the UK instead of the date it will leave Nigeria for the UK.

Is this enough reason to fill another online application form since i haven't submitted it offline?

igbankebabe: ^^^^ if applying in Lagos, apply at the Lekki VFS office... Their Transit Visa processing time is shorter.

Depending on the kind of Transit Visa (Airside - Airport and no Immigration Customs clearance, OR Landside - immigration customs clearance to go out of Airport and stay in the UK for up to 48 hours), you need to submit every doc as you would any normal visa application - employment/school letter, bank statements pay slips, A VALID VISA FOR WHERE YOU ARE TRANSITING TO, A VALID BOOKED AND PAID FOR RETURN TICKET.

If applying for a Landside, I would suppose you should provide accommodation details of where you would stay for ONLY UP TO 48 hours....and all the shenanigans that come with that.... If hotel, paid booking confirmation; if staying with a relative/friend....invite, utility bills, etc..

LondonCool: Where are you transiting to? You just need to make an application at the High Commission like any other application and provide proof of your journey. You need to also give some information about yourself to enable the ECO to be sure that you don't use the Transit visa as a means of staying in the UK.

do i need to provide any financial information?

LondonCool: Avoid using Agents for simple things you can do yourself. To get a transit visa you need to show proof of your trip itinerary enroute UK (landside) to your destination to the ECO .
