Edited: Please, avoid deleting files as much as possible till you've backed them up cuz you're likely not gonna get them afterwards except they're synced with either your Mi Cloud or Google Drive or any other cloud for that matter.

I don't know how I did it but I saw some deleted files well hidden in my file explorer recently. I might have to dig deep to confirm this.
