One thing I know is that you can't be fully ready or have all the whole money to get married. If you have a vision and she does, you two sit down and talk about all of these. You can get marry and hustle together. It's not even easy for a single person in the west, you too can work together, plan together. God will always come through

Why would you want a 30 minutes motion graphics for?? 5 minutes is even long talk less about 30 minutes. Export what you've done, move it to premiere pro, download assets or videos, get creative and you can get the long video you want to get. Why stress your CPU instead of be creative about the gig you're working on.

Yeah.. I'm earning from it and it's been a wonderful experience. From graphics to video editing, down to motion graphics.. E no easy sha. But I'll also advice you to have the knowledge of graphics and have ears for sound, paying quality attention to details/frames

Just read your "Serial Killer" write-up now. Beautiful master piece. It's fine for collaboration and something you can provide for film festivals(depending on directing, lightening, location, gadgets). I'm fine with it but resources is an important factor. Collaborations will really help except you're giving it out for an executive producer (sponsor)

The challenge is that the Gen Z have literally showed them pepper. Digital skills without soft skills is another. You're good with skill digitally but can't accept correction, attitude towards correction, directives from HR, and sometimes, they might be rude. Most Brands prefer working with someone they know and trust, so they prefer doing the office stuff for a while and if you're a reliable person; they can permit remote or hybrid which is cool.
Just from my experience though..

I thought you're suppose to use your skills to solve a particular problem some brands are facing.
Money follows value. Build your brand(which isn't easy), it takes time, patience and consistency. You can join communities also and post your jobs, get a portfolio, freelance, etc. It's not especially in this part of the world that people will price you down

From experience, I believe meeting an expert to teach you the basic is better than online learning.. After learning the basic from the person, then YouTube tutorial might follow suit. As a creative, you shouldn't even think about it because alot of people will keep suspecting you. I just go about doing my business and decide to step out when I'm tired. Lagosians no send your papa except if you dey always dey outside or dey always play loud music, club, etc

I use Autodesk Maya and I must tell you 3D animation is expensive. Along the journey, you will have to get gaming laptop and must have accept to power(light) but it all worth it

Nice one.. It's a new year and most people have set their goals.
Storytelling is a wonderful thing too but animations are expensive, especially 3D.. You could shoot that also as content. You can always collaborate with like minds and creator especially if you join a community/creative space. As a young filmmaker, I also collaborate with business people, fashion house, etc to create content and even ads/commercial. So, I think collaboration will help and go a long way

I have also try to start creative community where graphic designer, video editors, cinematographers, photographers, 3d artist, 2d artist to come together, network, share experience and even share work when there's much load. I'm a video editor/motion graphics designer and I would love to be part of it

Season greetings and a happy new year 🎊💐 to the creatives in the house.
Here are few things I believe we really need to the in this new year.
- We need to tell our story out there no matter how small it is. Post your content out there on social media platform (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Behance, dribble, etc. The reason is because it is why you're unique and different. We can't always think the same way, be it novice or expert on your field.
- Follow people that does same thing you do and better than you on social media platforms, comment on their post and ask questions. It really help and also get their attention.
- Attend classes/seminars that are supportive especially in your niche. I know few brands that even promote masterclasses so creative can come together and even invite top creative to interact with everyone.
- Join a community of creatives(both around your environment and online). Alot of opportunities are here. Sometimes, we do have a project we work on and jobs comes in; we do need people that can come onboard for such project to make it easier and burden less.
- Create a portfolio, weather it's free work or create something from inspiration online. Try craete something and put all of them together for reference sake.
- Have a hobby: No matter how creative you are, the brain need refreshment. Take a walk sometimes to relax and refresh yourself, sign up for the gym, go for swimming, dance and party sometimes might also help; even reading and watching movies also is a good one. Always try to refresh the brain.
- Note down every idea that comes. We are always carried away; so we forget some ideas and even get carried away by work.
- Collaboration will also help. Sometimes, creatives also follow me to location to see how set-up are done. Lightening, sound, directing, etc. This things are experience that really help when you're doing your own project. I even reached out to perklin andAkin Alabi too if I can come to his set when shooting a musical video and the response was when the time come, they will let me know...
I was thinking we should create the community here, let everyone introduce thereself and what they do, then we can continue if it is on other platform, that will be an awesome experience...
