Hello Great people in the house. I received my gcsm today. I was honestly confused looking at it from the angle of a "date created" I sighted on the notes which is 24/05/2017. I wonder if this is correct cos I submitted my application on 12/08/2017. Where does the date 24/05/2017 came from? Please I count much on your contributions

I've got no idea sir. I described the office base on my personal knowledge of the place and in case there's proximity from ur place. Legal fees are not fixed and are always negotiable. Check in if convinient and close to u.

You may wish to go to Taiwo Adedeji & Co. 15, Jubilee Road, Magodo, Lagos for ur notarized document. As per police certificate, you should have it done at 5k cos it done base on how u re sized up. 9ja police has bastadized regularized price. Good luck

This will be my first time of commenting on this thread even though i have been a silent follower for some time now. I am simply humbled by the shear volume of information on this thread. You guys have been awesome.

This is my concern and i hope to get help. I am currently applying to Conestoga College for a PGD. I noticed to complete the application, i need to upload all my documents including transcripts. The problem is My school doesn't give transcripts to students. They only send transcripts by mail to your school of choice.

For you guys that have applied to Conestoga please how did you do it? Or which address do i tell my school to send transcripts to? I have combed the entire conestoga website. i cant find any information on where transcripts are sent to. Please i need your help guys.

I was equally requested to submit transcript when I applied which I did. Your school may not have availed the transcript to you but ordinarily, you should be given student copy. I don't think there is provision by Conestoga College for receieving it by email but I think you can mail them to state ur predicament. Good luck

1. In my humble opinion, PGD/C are reasoned to be attached to your (new) job/vocation. For ex. you trained as a diplomat but want to branch into (say) law, it is expected that you'd get a PGd/c to officially familiarize you with the new line.
2. The school is concerned with the suitability of your Dip/Cert to your previous degree or job (and you have crossed that?) while the VO would be concerned with why you are not doing the PGD/C in your country. My point is that what you should work on majorly is convincing the VO why you dont want to do the prog here in NG ...this is the main thing.

Points:
1. Convince the VO that the prog is aligned to your present job ( or previous degree)
2. why not in Nigeria but canada

I think I appreciate this my brother, your view is exactly what my case is but I think I tried to chronicle this in my SOP and yet refused

I don't deny its luck and grace, but there are steps you can take to make luck work better for you. I bet you never submitted a Statement of Expalanation and even if you did, you didn't talk about any passion for what you do and strong desire to return to your homeland.

Please i work in the Human Resources Unit of the University but i have a Bachelor of Laws. My Employer only want to enhance my experience and prepare me for an international exchange programme which requires that i have international experience. My Letter of Explanation detailed all this and that is why i am worried on why i was refused

To an extent you maybe right but as the BOLD words doesnt mean insufficient funds. Depending on the situation and reason for refusal, i believe gcsm file has helped alot of applicants to know the reason or thoughts of the VO in charge.

Only God have the final say but we must try to do our best.

If your sponsor would agree for you to change to a full masters program, your situation with the VO would be made stronger. Also, try and get the sponsor to pay your one year tuition and deposit living expenses into your personal domiciliary account. A full institution of learning having only a balance of 13 million yet wanting to sponsor for 8.5m would have a ring of incredulity-- looking through a VOs bespectacled lenses.

Thank you bro for your useful piece of advice. But did i explain that the account has a monthly inflow of N42 million. since when i submitted d refused application and now, another 42M had entered into the account again. Could this still be a culprit?

Its a pity that after you are being sponsored by your company and the funny VOs still delayed you.

But that aside, i will advice you to order for your gcsm file so that you can see the real reason the VO delayed you.
But from my point of view, i will like to know maybe you have a BSc and was it in HR management? if Yes, then do you still need a PGD in HR management or an advance course in it?
Do you have a masters degree?
Did you include your SOP or SOE or whatever that looks like it? Where you explain in details what you and your company will benefit from it. Pointing the mind of the VO to things that may confuse him/her about your application. Maybe your course of study, current job and/or intended program may not be in line.

Oga, from my point of view i made the above suggestions and questions. Dont settle for it but you can possibly work around it. But in the interim, the best thing to do is to order for your file.
I pray your company wont withdraw/cancel their proposed sponsorship plan for you.
Order for your file and give it another try.

Greetings to the wonderful gurus who have been very resourceful here. Please I need your urgent guidance on my study permit. I submitted application on 8/8/17 with the following documents:
1. Form IMM1294E
2. Form IMM5645E
3. IMM5257B_1
4. Acceptance Letter
5. Letter of Explanation stating that I am an employee in a University in Human Resources Unit and that my employer is sending for 1 year pgd in Human Resources Management to have international experience in preparation for its international exchange program holding in December 2018.
6. I submitted along my appointment letter
7. letter of approval for d foreign study
8. letter of sponsorship from the University stating it's sponsorship of the program to the tune of N8.5 million
9. 6 months statement of Account of the University with close balance of N13 million (the account has a monthly inflow of N42 million).
10. My own 6 months salary account with close balance of N1.2 million.
11. My ARM Pension certificate (not the statement cos my employer just keyed into d scheme which makes the balance to be less N200,000.)
12. My Land document in the sum of N1.5milloon
13. Another land document in d sum of 300k
14. Deed of grant of land by the cooperative society of my employer

I submitted biometric on 14/8/17 but my account was not updated as "completed" until 21/9/17. My application was finally refused on 22/9/17 on the following grounds:
1.I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
2. I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
3. Pursuant to paragraph 220(a) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue.
The Visa officer however gave me opportunity to submit another application. Please I need your kind advice on how to go about it. I am still in the dark on what could gone wrong

Hello fellow Nairalanders! I am compelled by the continuous campaign of the fellow with the quoted numbers above. my advise to you all is Caveat Emptor- Buyer beware! I met this man just like all of you here on this forum when I needed to change the complete engine of my Honda Accord 1999 model. I called him and he instructed me to come to his shop at Ebut emeta. I guess he did not know I could be smart enough to go with a popular mechanic called "Caliper" in Ebute meta. I called his line when got to Ebute meta and he asked me to come to his shop but my Mechanic insisted he wish to talk to the guy and actually see him as he already has a feeling of scam. immediately Caliper made this move, this man with the two numbers above started playing pranks and told me I should not bring anybody along. I felt worried when the man begin to cut my lines despite persistence to see him. Lo and behold, on getting to where this man is, I found out he has few electrical parts in his shop. He finally called someone to come and pick me that I want to buy engine. When my Mechanic saw this, he advised me to turn him down and took me to a warehouse where he buy engines for his customers. I bought my complete engine at 110k and fixed it right in Ebute meta without any hitch. A lot of people testified about this man as a potential scammer and warned me vehemently. Run a scan bro. In the meantime, check your engine Area for oil leakages. An oil seal May have gone Bad. Check connectors to the monitors if it's intact. Is your map sensor properly connected?Is the car smoking? Does it idle well? Is the vehicle Running smooth while in transit? This are troubleshoots .run a scan. Not every oil shortage requires an engine overhaul. Run a scan.

Thank you bro. The engine smoke while raised or while on high speed. There is no leakage of oil around d engine but the engine does not do smooth idle. In any case, I won't overrule scanning d car

Another money in abyssal did you bother running a scan on your car to know why you have a high fuel consumption. Well changing your engine does not guarantee that your car's fuel consumption would be minimal. What you need is a good scan, diagnosis and fault finding. Don't forget I said the engine is shorting oil. I can top the oil for up to 3 times after servicing and within a 2 months. Meanwhile, I travel a lot

Please Nairalander in the house, I need your help. My Honda Accord (Baby Boy) 1999 Model is shorting oil and consuming fuel uncontrollably. I have tried to change manifold, service the nussles and change the spark plugs but the problem persist. I am considering of getting a Tokunbo engine. I need to know if getting a new engine will help and if it will solve the aspect of fuel consumption. Will the new engine come with all accessories to fix the fuel consumption problem? How much can I get a Tokunbo engine for my 4 plug car? Please assist on time
