My brother how sure are you? Ondo must have a Governor. They should support him first and see what he will do. I am tired of APC and PDP. I am from Edo and we are kicking both APC and PDP out this time. chiiraq802: |
In an inspiring show of support, the people of Okitipupa left their shops, homes, and daily activities to welcome Oba, the SDP gubernatorial candidate for Ondo State. As Oba visited his Local Government Area, the air was filled with a hopeful chant: "It is a fresh start for Ondo!" This slogan captures the essence of a community that has endured years of hardship under the rule of APC and PDP. The crowd, weary from the escalating cost of living, where a derika of beans now costs 2,500 Naira and a single tuber of yam is 5,000 Naira, echoed a unified cry for change. Their newly coined slogan, "FROM DEPUTIES TO DISAPPOINTMENT, CHOOSE OBA FOR A FRESH START," resonated deeply with the gathering. It highlighted their disillusionment with former deputy governors who failed to deliver on their promises. Oba's visit to Okitipupa was more than just a campaign stop; it was a beacon of hope. The enthusiastic support he received underscores the desire for a new dawn in Ondo State, a break from the past and a step towards a brighter future. The people’s message is clear: it's time for a fresh start with Oba, a leader who listens and understands the struggles they face daily. As the campaign moves forward, this grassroots support in Okitipupa is a powerful testament to Oba's vision and the people's readiness for real change. The momentum is building, and the promise of a fresh start is within reach for Ondo State.

NIMASA, this is not nice l. Kindly compensate the young chap if he worked for you people. It's his sweat and energy. Please, do the needful now. |
Angry Nigerians have taken to social media to support a young man who worked for NIMASA but has not been compensated. He claims to have created videos for them late last year and early this year, which NIMASA used on their social media platforms. However, Mr. Edward Osagie is now denying that the young man didn't work for them and refuses to pay him. In my opinion, this is pure wickedness. I don't understand why people exploit others; it feels like a form of bullying. #EndBadGovernance

Good one from Mr. Abel. Rest assured you have my vote! |
In recent times, Nigerians have come together to express their hopes and aspirations for a better future. Peaceful protests have become a vital tool for citizens to voice their concerns and advocate for positive change. However, it is crucial to remember that while we exercise our right to protest, we must do so responsibly and peacefully. Abel, a candidate running for the position of LCDA chairman in Yaba, Lagos State, supports the right to peaceful protest. He believes that every Nigerian has the right to express their views and aspirations, but emphasizes the importance of doing so in a manner that respects the rule of law and protects lives and property. Reflecting on past events, such as the End SARS protests, we witnessed both the power of collective action and the unfortunate consequences when protests turn violent. While many came together peacefully to demand justice, there were instances where some individuals exploited the situation, leading to destruction and loss. Lagos State, in particular, saw significant damage to properties, a reminder of the importance of maintaining peace during protests. Abel urges all Nigerians, in every state, to engage in peaceful demonstrations. Protesting is not only a right but a responsibility. It should be a means to promote positive change, not an excuse for violence or looting. He calls on everyone to ensure that their actions during protests do not harm others or destroy property. Let us remember that a peaceful protest is a powerful protest. It is through unity and non-violence that we can truly effect change and build the Nigeria we all aspire to. Abel stands with every Nigerian in this quest for a brighter future. Let us protest peacefully, responsibly, and with a clear vision for a better Nigeria.

Dear Fellow Nigerians, On this Democracy Day, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all citizens of our great nation. Today, we celebrate the progress we have made in our democratic journey and reflect on the path ahead. As we honor the principles of democracy, I urge everyone to embrace peace, unity, and optimism for a brighter future. Democracy thrives at the grassroots level, where the voices of the people can be heard most clearly. Local governments play a pivotal role in addressing the immediate needs of our communities, fostering development, and ensuring that the benefits of democracy reach every citizen. The autonomy of local governments is crucial for effective governance. It empowers local leaders to make decisions that directly impact their communities, leading to more responsive and accountable leadership. With greater autonomy, local governments can better manage resources, implement tailored policies, and drive sustainable development. Grassroots politics is the foundation of our democracy. Through active participation and engagement at the local level, we can build a stronger and more inclusive society. When communities are involved in the decision-making process, we create a sense of ownership and responsibility that strengthens our democratic institutions. As we celebrate Democracy Day, let us recommit ourselves to the values of unity, peace, and collective progress. By working together, we can overcome challenges and build a nation where every Nigerian has the opportunity to thrive. Let us remain optimistic about our future and steadfast in our efforts to create a just and prosperous Nigeria. Happy Democracy Day to all Nigerians. May we continue to uphold the principles of democracy and work towards a better tomorrow. God bless Nigeria. Sincerely, Able Abel!

Abeg, they should allow the Minister do his job. |
In the Nigerian life, amidst the hustle and bustle of day-to-day activities, there emerges a peculiar nocturnal phenomenon - the symphony of generators. Yes, you heard it right! While the rest of the world slumbers peacefully, Nigerians unleash the cacophony of their trusty generators, transforming the night into a carnival of buzzing engines and flickering lights. Picture this: as the sun dips below the horizon, signaling the end of another scorching day, one might expect a serene transition into the cool embrace of the night. But lo and behold, enter the roaring chorus of generators, as if auditioning for a midnight rave! It's a spectacle that leaves one pondering: are Nigerians nocturnal creatures, or do they simply have an insatiable craving for the diesel-scented ambiance? But wait, there's more! As the night wears on, the generator symphony reaches its crescendo, with each neighborhood vying for the title of "Loudest Generator in Town." It's a competition like no other, where decibels reign supreme and sleep becomes a distant memory. Who needs lullabies when you have the dulcet tones of a 10-kilowatt generator serenading you into dreamland? Now, one might wonder: what secrets are Nigerians hiding beneath the cover of darkness? Is there a clandestine society of midnight blender enthusiasts, or perhaps a thriving underground community of nocturnal hairdryer aficionados? Or maybe, just maybe, Nigerians have unlocked the secret to time travel, effortlessly navigating between day and night with the flick of a switch. But let's not forget the daytime, for even in the land of the midnight symphony, the sun still shines bright. So, why confine the joy of generator usage to the cloak of night when the possibilities are endless? After all, who wouldn't want to enjoy their morning cup of tea accompanied by the soothing hum of a diesel-powered orchestra? In conclusion, dear readers, let us embrace the quirks and charms of Nigeria's nocturnal generator culture. For in the darkness, there is light - and in the roar of engines, there is music. So, crank up those generators, my friends, and let the midnight symphony play on!

NEF's contributions to the North's advancement are minimal at best. Their focus seems to be primarily on emotive political maneuvers under the guise of serving the Northern Region. I align with Matawalle's response to NEF's stance. It's evident they serve more as political hindrances than aids." |
One of Tinubu's working Minister. He needs more time and everything would be fine. Keep up the good work Adelabu.. |
Adelabu inspects Sokoto IPP, Goronyo Dam...commends Sokoto Government on 38 megawatts power plant . Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu has urged State governments in the country to key into the vision behind the electricity act 2023 signed into law by President Bola Tinubu adding that this is the only way Nigeria can achieve economic growth and ensure development in the country. The Minister spoke on Thursday during a one-day working visit to Sokoto State, where he visited the recently completed 38 megawatts Independent Power Plant built by the State government and the Goronyo Dam, one of the dams being considered for power generation. Adelabu said the 2023 Electricity Act has opened up opportunity for sub national governments to invest in the electricity value chain. He expressed happiness on the initiative by the Sokoto State government and promised to ensure the take off of the plant within the shortest possible time. “I am happy to witness this kind of thing, an independent power plant project funded by the state govt. I am impressed. I am also happy that Sokoto state government is fast queuing keying into the renewed hope agenda of Mr President of giving good life to Nigerian citizens. Good life in all ramification. In education, in health support, in social infrastructure and power. We know power is critical to the performance of any other sector. For the government of Sokoto state to have taken the pain to cross the hurdle, financial and other wise to fund this kind of investment is commendable and I want to use Sokoto as a point of contact for other State governments. According to Adelabu, Sokoto is already taking advantage of the Electricity act of 2023 that is allowing sub national governments to invest in the power sector value chain. “Other state governments should emulate Sokoto state. We can have functional, reliable, uninterrupted, affordable electricity supply for every Nigerian citizen, it is possible. And I am happy that Sokoto state government is making our dream a reality. I want to thank the Governor for this investment. It must not fail. I am promising you. We must get the dividends of this investment. It was built with tax payers money. They must enjoy their money. I am pledging that the federal government through the Ministry of power and its agencies will provide every necessary support that is required to take this project to the desired destination. You have done over 95 percent of the work. Whatever is required of us, I am promising and pledging that we will not relent in supporting you to ensure that this project finally takes off and it supplies electricity to the seat of the caliphate, Sokoto State”, the Minister said. The Minister has therefore invited all parties involved in the project to a meeting in his office to discuss area of concern and the bottle necks delaying the take- off of the plant. “To ensure it is not all talks, I am using this opportunity to immediately call for an all-party meeting in my office within the next two weeks. The meeting will include the project consultant, Mr Theo Ubani, the Commissioner for Energy, Sokoto State, Honourable Danusi Umar, Director of Distribution, Federal Ministry of Power, Engineer B. U Mustapha Managing Director of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Engineer Sule AbdulAziz, Chairman of the Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) ,Alhaji Sanusi Garba, Managing Director of Nigeria Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA), Engineer Tukur Aliyu and management of Kaduna distribution company. These are the people needed to make the project take off. Whatever hurdle that is delaying the take off of the project must be resolved in that day", the Minister said. Adelabu also commended the State government for not only building the power plant but for also having the ancillary infrastructure in place. “You have the switch yard, strategically placed. You also have a substation close by and there is also the 33KVA lines that are already there”, he said. The project Consultant had earlier briefed the Minister on the regulatory bottlenecks that have delayed the take off of the projects with the assurance by the Minister that the issues would be resolved. |
Well done our working Minister to notice this. Omo, light wan finish us for our area and we have prepaid metre now. |
