Introduction: Embarking on this remarkable journey within the maritime industry has been characterized by immense joy, profound happiness, and continual growth. When I assert that the maritime sector is my abode, it is an affirmation rooted in over three decades of unwavering dedication to the realm of maritime and transportation management. I am Bashir Jamoh, the Director General of the "Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency" (NIMASA), and my enduring commitment to the maritime and transportation sphere spans more than 32 years. NIMASA, a government agency tasked with regulating and overseeing maritime activities in Nigeria, plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the integrity and security of Nigerian waters, advancing the development of the maritime sector, and implementing policies that catalyze the growth of the Blue Economy in our nation. Today, I have the privilege of unveiling the fascinating concept of the "Blue Economy." The Blue Economy: The Blue Economy can be likened to a colossal treasure trove concealed beneath the depths of the sea. Envision the ocean as an enchanting realm brimming with enigmatic secrets awaiting discovery. The Blue Economy is, in essence, the endeavor to unveil and harness these secrets for the betterment of Nigeria. Advantages of the Blue Economy: Abundant Marine Resources: Nigeria is blessed with an expansive and magnificent maritime domain. The Blue Economy empowers us to harvest an abundance of fish from these waters. Fish, not only a delectable source of nourishment, can also be traded, thereby enhancing our country's economic prosperity. Consequently, this translates to an increased supply of fish for beloved culinary dishes. Economic Opportunities for All: The Blue Economy serves as an incubator for a plethora of employment opportunities. Analogous to the role of my dedicated team at NIMASA, numerous vocations are intricately linked to the sea. Contemplate a scenario where individuals take on roles as valiant fishermen procuring fish, scuba divers venturing into the underwater expanse, or guides navigating substantial vessels through the oceans. These employment avenues fortify our nation and ensure that families have access to sustenance and the financial means to meet their essential needs. Preservation of Marine Ecosystems: My team at NIMASA operates as the guardians of the sea. Our tireless efforts are directed towards preserving the cleanliness and security of the ocean. We institute regulations and exercise vigilant oversight over maritime activities, preventing accidents and mitigating adverse incidents such as pollution. In so doing, we pave the way for the continued expansion of the Blue Economy and uphold the ocean as a thriving and pristine habitat for all the marine life that calls it home. NIMASA's Role: NIMASA, an acronym for the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, acts as the vigilant steward of the sea. Within our purview lies the pivotal responsibility of ensuring the soundness of all maritime activities. We set forth essential standards and guidelines to guarantee the safety and responsibility of all sea-bound ventures. This approach ensures that the Blue Economy can persistently flourish, and Nigeria can further reap the benefits of its resplendent maritime heritage. Conclusion: In the capacity of guardians of the sea, the Blue Economy stands as a magnificent treasury for Nigeria, bequeathing to us not only an abundant supply of delectable fish but also the creation of millions of employment opportunities, and the perpetual preservation of our sea's immaculateness and safety. As a staunch advocate for the welfare of our maritime domain, I, alongside my dedicated team, work tirelessly to enhance our nation's prosperity. Today, you have been acquainted with the marvels of the Blue Economy, and I encourage you to share this enlightening knowledge with your friends and family. Let us unite in celebrating the splendors of the Blue Economy and its pivotal role in Nigeria's progress.

Clem Agba, formerly the Minister for Budget and Planning during Buhari's Administration, played a significant role in the alleged N30 billion Naira stormwater project in Edo State, which was purportedly conceived to deceive the people of the state. During his tenure as the Commissioner for Environment and Public Utilities under the administration of Adams Oshiomole, Clem Agba oversaw this project. Today, he identifies himself as 'AGBANATED' and has expressed intentions to run for Governor of Edo State. Many find this unacceptable, considering the controversy surrounding the stormwater project, which was widely viewed as a fraudulent endeavor. It is believed that the project was not genuinely designed to alleviate flooding in the area, and the area remained undrained. The people of Edo State are adamant that the government should investigate the project and recover any misappropriated funds. Furthermore, Adams Oshiomole is actively supporting his political protege, Clem Agba, in his bid for the governorship. However, it's crucial to emphasize that "EDO NO BE LAGOS," meaning that Edo State has its unique dynamics and should not be compared to Lagos in political matters.

Agba is okay. Go Agba, go Edo State! |

I've been chatting with this girl for about two months now. Often, when I try to video call her, she doesn't answer and mentioned that I should request permission before calling on video. Have any of you, both guys and ladies, encountered a similar situation? I'm seeking input from everyone.

Gov. Hope Uzodinma has dumped his deputy, Placid Njoku, ahead of the November 11, 2023 governorship election in the state. Gov. Hope Uzodinma officially unveiled his running mate, Chinyere Ekomaru on Saturday 12/08/2023 at a ceremony which took place in Owerri, the state capital. Uzodinma while revealing the reason for dumping Njoku and choosing Ekomaru said, “The choice of a new running mate does not mean he has issues with the present Deputy Governor Placid Njoku. The development, he continued, is due to ecumenical and political permutations.” Ahead of the governorship election in the state, Uzodinma is hoping to retain power in the state and defeat governorship candidates of the Action Alliance (AA), Lincoln Ogunewe, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Samuel Anyanwu, Labour Party (LP), Senator Athan Achonu and others. While Ogunewe and Senator Anyanwu are from (Imo East senatorial zone) Senator Athan (Imo North) and Uzodimma (Imo West). However, ahead of the election the issue of insecurity especially the burning of houses, killings of residents, underdevelopment in the rural areas, and workers’ welfare have remained at the front burner.

Olamide, our talented indigenous rapper, has just released his latest album "Unruly." Interestingly, for the first time, Olamide has chosen not to collaborate with Phyno. The dynamic duo has a history of delivering hit after hit whenever they team up, but this time, Olamide has opted to release his album independently. Personally, I find their joint performances enjoyable, and I had anticipated seeing Phyno featured on this new album as usual. Nevertheless, the album is impressive, and I particularly love tracks like "Life Goes On" and "No Worries."

I am not broke my guy TsbAfrica: |
Yeah, we both have both good and bad dreams too. Sometimes when we quarrel we have the bad ones. siofragspot: |
What do you think? siofragspot: |
My girlfriend and I have been dating for 3 years now and it's about time we start planning on getting married. One thing I no for sure is that she loves me and I do love her too. Recently, she told me that her mom went to some churches and they told her it won't work, about 3 pastors. But my girlfriend told her friend to tell her pastor to pray about it. So he prayed about it and he gave us feedback after 3 days and he said the marriage will work, he said I will give my girlfriend peace, take care of her and make her happy. There's a woman that prays for me here in Lagos, she said there is nothing wrong with both of us. I also called my Rev. Father and he said that nobody has the right to say the person is for this person or the marriage won't work. He said marriage is a decision both of us will take and pray about it. He said hence we love ourselves so much, should leave it for God and continue with our relationship. Guys, have you experienced this before? What do you think? I am confused. |
Gammy and the Living Things is a musical cg-animated feature that tells the story of Gammy, an agama lizard who has dreams that reach far beyond the borders of his local ecosystem. A musician by trade, Gammy wants to take his talents to Lagos and find out if he can make it big. In attendance at the premiere were the film’s writer-director, some crew, musicians, the main voice cast, and Nigerian vice president Yemi Osinbajo. It’s not every day that a near head of state attends the screening of an animated film, but Gammy & the Living Things is one of Nigeria’s first animated features and is representative of the rapid growth of the country’s screen industries. “This is really, really exciting and I want to congratulate the Utricle Studios and the Euphoric Sounds for an excellent performance,” Osinbajo said, singling out the film’s production company and the musical group that wrote the original songs featured in Gammy. He also had kind words for several of the Nigerian film stars who lent their voices to the film, praising them for getting involved in the early days of Nigerian feature animation. Writer-director Ikem Isiekwena addressed the audience and explained his team’s ambitions in producing Gammy and the Living Things. “We wanted to create a true classic that fuses picture, music, the orchestral culture, history, comedy, and some social commentary, into an entertaining masterpiece,” he said. According to Isiekwena, Gammy is far more than just a talented reptile. He says that the film’s protagonist “symbolizes the spirit of the everyday dreamer yearning for something more than the monotonous routine of mundane life. He is irresistibly drawn to the allure and excitement of Lagos, a city pulsating with possibilities where success and greatness seem within reach. Gammy Is Coming! Gbadegbo is good at insulting older people. I really don't know what plans he has for Lagos State. That guy will use his first four years in smoking weed and chasing women. The guy go run mad if he becomes Governor of Lagos State.

Sanwo Olu remains the best man for the job. Gbadegbo and Jandor still have a lot about governing a state. It is not emotions, it is reality check. |
