Phones / Why You Should Not Buy The Innjoo Big Battery Phones by klinpami(f): 4:21pm On Jul 01, 2016 |
Innjoo is another fast growing mobile phone brand and seem to have invaded the Nigerian market with their smartphones, giving a run to the likes of Gionee, techno, itel, Lenovo etc. Two weeks ago, my S5 had issues and while waiting for it to be repaired, I thought I should get another Android phone that would serve me in the interim. With the pathetic light situation across the country, I looked out for a big battery phone. A quick research showed that Gionee M5, Tecno L5, as well as Innjoo Max 2 were among the big battery phones. However, the Gionee M5 was far too expensive for my liking, while the Tecno L5 had a very poor battery rating from users of the phone. I was left with the Max 2 which I bought from Jumia Nigeria at N27,450; after taking out time to diligently look at the specs which sound convincing at the time. The Max 2 is the second on the Innjoo line of Power focused series with its main selling point being its massive battery capacity and that was exactly what I was looking for. In terms of specifications, the Max 2 is a typical 5-inch device featuring Android 5.1 Just some days after buying it, I noticed there are couple of big shortcoming. The manufacturers pulled a fraud on the consumers with the camera, fast charge and battery capacity they advertised. They said the camera specs were 13mp and 8mp back and front respectively but to be honest, the so called 8mp front camera is not even up to 0.2mp. It was extremely slow in registering movement and even with the aid of the flash, it was still not clear enough. On the battery which was the key selling point, I doubt if the battery is truly 4600mAh. I expected a considerable difference in battery life when compared with phones having 2000mAh - 3600mAh but there was none. I exhausted 53% in just 3 hours under mild/heavy usage which shouldn't be so considering the battery capacity. Lastly, this phone has no fast charge technology as advertised which you get to enjoy with itel 1551 that my cousin is using. It took me well over 6 hours many times to charge from 1% to 100%. That is a very long time for a supposed fast charging phone. And did I forget to add that the follow-come earpiece was extremely fake? Innjoo should have told users to visit Computer village and get a good earpiece. The annoying thing about the manufacturer is their terrible support service. Not only was I asked to pay 3,000 naira before they could check a one-week old phone, the attendants were rude and very unfriendly and they don't care to support you. I have said enough about Innjoo. Let the wise listen. Even though I have been able to successful sell the phone, I thought it was appropriate to informed other people, so they do not fall for the Innjoo Gimmick. Now I am looking for another big battery phone since my main phone is yet to be repaired. Should I go for the Oukitel with 5000mAh at 35k or wait for the itel 1556 packed with 5000mAh at 21k? 1 Like |
