I applied to arik as a cabin crew, after the whole process of passing all the requirements and finaly gets to the final stage,a white guy even came out and congratulate me that I've passed and I should be waiting for my appointment letter the following week

I waited for 1 months and nothing happened, whereas, all my colleagues who scale tru the final stage were called to resume for training....since I have access to the Chief Pilot of Arik, I enquire what happened....

He release the bombshell.....that the Chief Pilot I used as one of my referee is a sworn enemy of the owner of Arik...and dats d reason I wasn't called....cos d owner felt I was been sent as a spy...I felt bad tho...thank God am now working with NAMA

A 25-year old man, Olagunju Waheed, who allegedly entered a church premises with a copy of the Holy Quran, is facing trial at a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.

A resident of No. 8, Aje St., Sabo, Yaba, the accused is arraigned on a charge of breach of public peace.

The prosecutor, Insp. Nwosu George, told the court that the accused committed the offence on July 12 at about 80.00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Yaba.



“The accused, armed with a copy of the Holy Quran, was found loitering at the church premises when a security guard approached him and asked what his mission was.

“The accused could not give a satisfactory explanation why he was there and he was immediately apprehended.”

The offence, George noted, contravened Section 166 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused, however, denied the charge.

Ruling on the accused’s bail application, the Chief Magistrate, Mrs O.A. Erinle, granted him bail in the sum of N50, 000 with two sureties in like sum.

The case has been adjourned to August 26 for trial.

One of Nigeria’s screen goddess, Rita Dominic celebrated her 40th birthday on Sunday, July 12, 2015. However, following the celebration, rumors have emerged that the sensational actress lied about her real age.


Information gathered from an unverified source says a claimed primary school mate of the actress bared it all that Rita is supposed to be 43years now and not 40year old.

Chika (Surname withheld), revealed that Rita was her classmate at Santa Maria Primary school in Aba.

She said, “But Rita you are 43 not 40. We all grew up at Aba and we were in d same class in Santa Maria Primary school, Aba. This should have been celebrated 3yrs ago not this year my dear Rita.”

A businessman in Japan has unveiled a hotel run by robots, insisting the move is not a gimmick but a serious attempt at reducing costs.

Henn na Hotel, as it is called in Japanese, was shown to reporters on Wednesday, complete with robot demonstrations, ahead of its opening to the public on Friday.

Hideo Sawada, who runs the hotel as part of an amusement park, said the move to use robots was aimed at utilising technology and achieving efficiency.



The ‘staff’ include a dinosaur-shaped receptionist robot that speaks in English, and the one that speaks Japanese, shaped like a woman with blinking lashes.

The visitor still has to punch a button on the desk, and type in information on a touch panel screen.

Another feature of the hotel is the use of facial recognition technology, instead of the standard electronic keys, by registering the digital image of the guest’s face during check-in.

Staying at Henn na Hotel starts at $80, a low price in Japan, where a stay in one of the nicer hotels can easily cost twice or three times that much.

In the hotel’s rooms, a lamp-size robot in the shape of a fat pink tulip called Tuly answers simple questions like, “What time is it?” and “What is the weather tomorrow?”

You can also tell it to turn the room lights on or off. There are no switches on the walls.

The hotel still relies on humans for security.
