In one of my previous posts, I posted a list of Infinix Smartphones that will be receiving the Nougat update and also the scheduled dates. It seems Infinix is keeping to their promise as they have started pushing out the Nougat update for Infinix Note 3 users.



This is not another beta update but the official update for Infinix Note 3. The update which is about 1.5gb is available Via OTA (Over the air). Below are some of the new features that comes with the update.

Last month, Tecno added two new devices to it's smartphone collection which are the Camon CX Air and Camon CX(or Camon 10). Both phones are mid range smartphone with pretty cool specs and very great camera for the selfie freaks.

The Camon CX Air features a 5-inch full HD display and runs on the latest Android 7 Nougat out of the box. It is powered by a mediatek MT6570T Quad-core with a clock speed of 1.5 GHz. In terms of memory, it has a 2Gb RAM and an expandable 32GB ROM. The phone also has a 13mp front and back camera with a battery capacity of 3000mah.


The Camon C10 on the hand features a larger​ 5.5-inch IPS display and also runs on Android 7 Nougat OS. The Galaxy S8 leaks are coming in thick and fast now, and the latest live photo shows off the gold color option of the Galaxy S8 Plus. We get a good look at the dialer, the on-screen navigation buttons, and the general curvature of the display.

Everyone expects something bigger from Tecno Mobile this year and the most recent rumors we’ve heard seem to point to this same direction. Tecno Camon C9 was released last year, it only normal to expect a successor to follow. However, it seems the next device in the Camon series won’t be named Camon C10. An insider revealed that we should expect Tecno Camon CX instead.

Devices in the Camon product line have one distinctive feature: a pretty good camera at an affordable price range. It is perfect for those who want the camera of the high end Phantom series on a mid range device. And the camera has never disappointed.


Tecno Camon CX or Tecno Camon C10?

While we advise you to take this report with a pinch of salt, it actually makes sense if the next Camon is called CX. After all, X is the same as 10 in Roman numerals. Whether we are going to see Camon C10 or Camon CX, one thing is certain: a camera better than that on the C9 should be expected.
Rumored Camera Specifications

If we are to judge based on the leaked image, we would conclude that the Camon CX is coming with two cameras at the back. However, it should be pointed out that this could either be an actual press render or just a concept.



According to our source, Tecno Camon CX will sport 4 cameras, possibly two in the front and another two at the back. If this is actually true, users will be able to shoot images with bokeh / shallow depth of field using both the front and rear camera setup as seen on Tecno Phantom 6 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus.
The source also claims that each camera has a 16MP sensor. While this sounds pretty good, it should be noted that such configuration on a mid-range smartphone is definitely going to move the price point to the high-end segment. We do expect Tecno to keep things balanced.
It’s long overdue
A dual-camera setup on the Camon series is long overdue. It was rumored to be featured on the Camon C8 last year, but we never saw it. It seems focus is shifting to this technology and the some best camera phones around have two eyes on the back.
Design

The leaked Camon CX image shows a somewhat slim device. It looks a lot thinner than last year’s Camon C9. The antennae lines at the top and bottom too suggest a metallic back cover. Again, we need to be reminded that this could either be a concept design or a real press render. We been able to gather that the Camon CX will come in several colors: Blue, Black, Gold, Champagne Gold, and Anthracite Grey.
Other technical specifications

As for the internals, we have just a few details at the moment. The device is very likely to ship with Android 7.0 (Nougat), the RAM and ROM should come in 3GB/32GB configuration, the screen size will be 5.5 inches, and it might come with the USB Type C fast charging port.
Launch, availability and price

Tecno Camon C9 is expected to be launched (in Dubai again??) sometimes later in March or very early in April. Considering that its predecessor came in around June last year, it appears Tecno Camon CX (or Camon C10) is coming early.

EYING THE COMPETITION
ESight isn't the only company focused on helping the legally blind. Other companies working on high-tech glasses and related tools include Aira , Orcam , ThirdEye , NuEyes and Microsoft .
But most of them are doing something very different. While their approaches also involve cameras attached to glasses, they don't magnify live video. Instead, they take still images, analyze them with image recognition software and then generate an automated voice that describes what the wearer is looking at—anything from a child to words written on a page.
Samuel Markowitz, a University of Toronto professor of ophthalmology, says that eSight's glasses are the most versatile option for the legally blind currently available, as they can improve vision at near and far distances, plus everything in between.
Markowitz is one of the researchers from five universities and the Center for Retina and Macular Disease that recently completed a clinical trial of eSight's second-generation glasses. Although the results won't be released until later this year, Markowitz said the trials found little risk to the glasses. The biggest hazard, he said, is the possibility of tripping and falling while walking with the glasses covering the eyes.
The device "is meant to be used while in a stationary situation, either sitting or standing, for looking around at the environment," Markowitz said.

The latest version of ESight's technology, built with investments of $32 million over the past decade, is a gadget that vaguely resembles the visor worn by the blind "Star Trek" character Geordi La Forge , played by LeVar Burton.
The third-generation model lets wearers magnify the video feed up to 24 times, compared to just 14 times in earlier models. There's a hand control for adjusting brightness and contrast. The new glasses also come with a more powerful high-definition camera.
ESight believes that about 200 million people worldwide with visual acuity of 20/70 to 20/1200 could be potential candidates for its glasses. That number includes people with a variety of disabling eye conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, ocular albinism, Stargardt's disease, or, like Regan, optic nerve hypoplasia.
So far, though, the company has sold only about 1,000 headsets, despite the testimonials of wearers who've become true believers.
Take, for instance, Yvonne Felix, an artist who now works as an advocate for eSight after seeing the previously indistinguishable faces of her husband and two sons for the first time via its glasses. Others, ranging from kids to senior citizens, have worn the gadgets to golf, watch football or just perform daily tasks such as reading nutrition labels.

Among them: proving the glasses are safe and effective for the legally blind. While eSight's headsets don't require the approval of health regulators—they fall into the same low-risk category as dental floss—there's not yet firm evidence of their benefits. The company is funding clinical trials to provide that proof.
The headsets also carry an eye-popping price tag. The latest version of the glasses, released just last week, sells for about $10,000. While that's $5,000 less than its predecessor, it's still a lot for people who often have trouble getting high-paying jobs because they can't see.
Insurers won't cover the cost; they consider the glasses an "assistive" technology similar to hearing aids.
ESight CEO Brian Mech said the latest improvements might help insurers overcome their short-sighted view of his product. Mech argues that it would be more cost-effective for insurers to pay for the headsets, even in part, than to cover more expensive surgical procedures that may restore some sight to the visually impaired.

Jeff Regan was born with underdeveloped optic nerves and had spent most of his life in a blur. Then four years ago, he donned an unwieldy headset made by a Toronto company called eSight.
Suddenly, Regan could read a newspaper while eating breakfast and make out the faces of his co-workers from across the room. He's been able to attend plays and watch what's happening on stage, without having to guess why people around him were laughing.
"These glasses have made my life so much better," said Regan, 48, a Canadian engineer who lives in London, Ontario.
The headsets from eSight transmit images from a forward-facing camera to small internal screens—one for each eye—in a way that beams the video into the wearer's peripheral vision. That turns out to be all that some people with limited vision, even legal blindness, need to see things they never could before. That's because many visual impairments degrade central vision while leaving peripheral vision largely intact.
Although eSight's glasses won't help people with total blindness, they could still be a huge deal for the millions of peoples whose vision is so impaired that it can't be corrected with ordinary lenses.

Finally wait is over. HMD unveils its first Nokia Android smartphone — Nokia 6, which marks the re-entry of the brand in the industry.
The Nokia 6 boasts an aluminium uibody design and features a 5.5-inch in-cell full HD display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass on top. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with X6 LTE modem and also features 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of on-board storage alongside microSD support, a 16 megapixel main camera, and a 3,000 mAh battery.
The sound output on the smartphone has been further powered by Dolby Atmos. HMD has confirmed that it will ship with Nougat, the seventh major version of Google’s operating system.

Researches discovered how to develop a power source — that could last 5000 years — from nuclear waste.
Scientists from the University of Bristol, UK, claimed to have discovered a way to turn nuclear waste into radioactive black diamond batteries which have a life of over 5000 years.
They discovered a method by heating graphite blocks, which then gives off the radioactive carbon as a gas, which is then gathered and turned into the radioactive by using a high temperature chemical reaction. Through this chemical reaction, carbon atoms are left on the surface in small, dark diamond crystals.
It was found that these diamonds can produce a small electrical charge when they are placed near a radioactive source.
The newly created radioactive diamonds, the surface of which emit less radiation than a single banana, are then encased within a layer of non-radioactive diamond, to make them safe to handle.
The researchers have claimed that this method could create a battery which would be capable of generating clean electricity for as long as human civilization has existed.
The team has already demonstrated a prototype diamond battery using Nickel-63, but researchers said carbon-14 will make a more effective radiation source.
Plans are in place for the first carbon-14 batteries to be created in the New Year, which would deliver an electrical charge of just 300 joules each day, compared with a standard and commonly used AA battery which outputs 14,000 joules per day.
This could be an energy friendly alternative to current batteries, with interests from scientists at NASA, as well as technology firms which would use them for internet devices.
