I humbly plead with all Tinubu supporter that may still have a little bit of conscience and rational reasoning left to call him to order. This point he just crossed on Rivers Gov suspension is a point of no return Worst still the Attorney categorically calls bluff on any opposing views without citing constitutional references. The military that he commands now know no friend but power when an opportunity arises. The president has lost goodwill from the people he governs, it will not be hard for military take over under such circumstances. He should check again, if he can suspend a governor and go free ... The army can suspend him and no one will have his back from this point going forward. Tinubu should think again. Other African countries recently experienced coup, Nigeria is not too big! A word is enough for the wise, he still has time to retrace his steps. |
They have never learnt Wonder how they stylishy moved it to tomorrow? Unfortunately for them, the masses will celebrate and lynch on them when the military comes knocking soon Tinubu has awakaned the old draconian spirits of coup in Nigeria Stolen: |
Not surprised Gov bala said he would work for Obi last week Tinubu will end himself by himself! |
Lol Was it not these govs that dragged to the supreme illegal court because statesman buhari changed Naira to curb vote buying which the Apc relied on? What goes around surely comes around! They supported his election rigging now he's coming for them with unconstitutional powers lol ![]() |
The loser here I think will be tinubu actually Cos fabura has somehow gathered public sympathy with how tinubu and wike rascally imploded Fabura can even win re election, his people seem to love him the more he is persecuted by wike Tinubu is getting more on the nerves of the people of the region This may be the final nail on his approval in that region |
This constitutional maneuver is exactly what right thinking people are saying... In this case, the National assembly should have been to the one to take over the legislative affairs not the president or sole administrator whatever seunmsg: |
I'm also surprised he managed to be on the side of truth today ![]() tundegan: |
Tinubu threw himself into the ring that was supposed to be wike vs fabura Now if the Nass fails to give go ahead His influence further wains politically Las las he has caused his see finish If he gets away with the illegality the court will this time around be forced to interpret...this one choke pass FCT matter. The constitution is clear with regards to his powers to invoke SOE yes but also the constitution is still clear he possess no power to suspend or set aside democratic institutions of a state consequently appointing military rule in such state Moreso is the economic hardship that will double with fallout with the ND boys |
He has a right to declare the SOE no doubt under any pretext as fit in the çonstitution no one questions that The problem is the over reach of ordering to suspend the gov The constitution doesn't give such powers to him The gov is to remain even if his powers be reduced and work together with the armed forces as deployed until situation calms But to suspend...it is clearly unconstitutional GEJ did same in the heat of boko Haram in over 3 states without suspending gov or HoA not even LG chairman was suspended teadrake: |
Tinubu has actually shot himself in the foot all for Wike! Is wike God in this country? How did he manage to control tinubu on this This is turn is actually an impeachable offense just as Reuben said
|
I will not bother myself quoting for you but here's a summary for you since you obviously want to continue lying Adebishow:
|
Go and check your self and see where there's a 'thereby suspend " in the constitution I'm trying to tell you state of emergency doesn't mean suspension of gov powers it is stated there in the constitution go and read the section as quoted Bringing in Fed might doesn't equate to that. The gov remains but less powerful and is by law to assist with the Presidents aim to restore peace If that section implied setting aside the gov powers then There surely will be one where the time the gov spends outside during the state of emergency will be considered when normacy returns but as you can see in the constitution there's nothing on that If the state of emergency last for 4yrs ur tenure as gov is gone meaning...it is as though the State government is still running Tinubu rushed on this Maybe a last minute change made him think about removing the state court he would have suspended the state court too nah Adebishow: |
You can check the constitution and see if there's "suspension" or "remove" there Adebishow: |
There's no mention of the word suspend or remove any where as regards the issue in the constitution it is clear as ABC This one is not issue of Fct where facts are twisted That there's state of emergency doesn't mean democracy ceases to exist The power of the gov in the state maybe reduced at best not totally set aside GeJ did declare but there wasn't any gov being set aside Tinubu goofed bigtime this Adebishow: |
The constitution is clear in what terms an elected gov can be put aside even if it's for a few hours We are used to putting bad precedence then later normalizing it You are not in any position to dictate to the gov how they managed themselves neither is the president apart from the court and HOA where they're checks and balances But in the case where there becomes serious breakdown it is within the president powers to do so but democratically GeJ declared State of Emergency do you want to say the military didn't enforce it? Did you hear of gov removals or suspension? That's the right thing as stated clearly in the constitution Adebishow: |
You are simply covering the error up with words The state gov has to remain but with reduced powers such that the military under instructions of the president helps to bring back order and once attained, the state resumes full control Saying you suspend i.e put aside completely for even a few hours is unconstitutional They were elected and at the time of the declaration of state of emergency there weren't impeached died yet as provided in the constitution. Adebishow: |
Even still the president declares state of emergency but the state gov remains in place at worst has reduced powers That's the constitution Not suspension there's nothing like that Adebishow: |
Leave them They have no brain left in the skull Agbado don calcify everything in there Hoelujohn: |
There is nothing Tinubu and wike can do at this point Unfortunately they rushed to play their last card Fabura will have to come back before 2027 and his mandate restored else Tinubu's chance of his useless mandate na ND people go finally put am to rest Remember he has no northern sympathy again A word is enough for the wise Thundafireseun: |
It was in this context. There was a whole breakdown of law and order and public safety in Lagos with endsars the Gov even wrote buhari but he never took over the state he did order military to help the state government. Somehow you lots want to defend an unconstitutional move by a president to say he can suspend another elected official? kokoA: |
Same way Wike has messed himself up in PdP thinking he is the apha and omega of the party Today he has destroyed both the party and himself It's same way Tinubu unfortunately is messing himself up thinking he can do and undo as president Same can be said of akpabio as senate president all 3 have become monumental embarrassment There just seems to be a correlation with them all The president has lost the masses in North,SE The little goodwill he would have had in Ss he is foolishly playing to wike's gallary against a whole ethnicity and state(s) How will he navigate until 2027 with tension in ND? When pipelines go into flames, how will he campaign Already he has grounded the economy What will be left of the economy after militants return? At this point if I were his friend I would seriously urge him to retrace his steps cos he is not the God of strategy...the forces this time will be more than 2x of what Jonathan faced The heat is getting too much and he keeps making blunders! |
Seems he only does well with tough decisions lol cautioning wike to even at least tone down the bad inciteful and dangerous statements on the matter was too simple such that he had to go for the toughest decision JAMO84: |
Under the pretext the Gov did it is not wrong in anyway They were not there to serve Rivers interest but one man in Abuja on that day If they wanted to duelly impeach the Gov for any sane reasons the Gov would be at fault So because wike's mood swings in the morning thy would gather in the assembly to call for impeachment? Keep on hailing tinubu and his cohorts...2027 is not far at all Jonathan's fallout with the masses is in no way comparable to where bad advisers have pushed tinubu to We will be here This time around no Northern votes to save him He will go back to smelly Lagos ozo13: |
I think wike has wrongly advised the president on this move This will not end well for him o |
For your information He's tenure is enshrined in the constitution He's going to complete it in the end But one thing is sure... tinubu will not come out of this fight as a whole |
They will not listen God has hardened their hearts This is surely God's hand at work State of emergency is a double edged sword that will inturn cripple the economy that is currently gasping for air Right then, we will be on eve of elections E no far again |
In all these I'm happy the North has realized the need to join hands and take these idiots out |
They don't think do they? They are celebrating Power is not forever What goes around comes around! |
Ofcourse He will return, he was voted He has a mandate and Rivers people stand on it ![]() Wike fit no enter 2027 before they discard him for too much noise ![]() Truths9ja: |
Succinctly there's no government in Nigeria as a whole afterall! Tinubu has just gathered more enemies going into 2027 |
