Openbusiness:Google Lewis please. Fury dey learn for Lewis side |
Openbusiness:So you know, Lewis was the last undisputed champion. Klitchko brothers held the present divided titles and didn't fight each other. True, Fury won the unified titles from Klitchko, but his brother held the remain title, which Fury has now. The last Undisputed Heavyweight Champion is the same Lennox Lewis. If you think AJ or Fury is better than Lewis, then you have to go back and watch the beast that Lennox Lewis was. |
Openbusiness:Oga mi, when Fury defeated Klitchko, he was unified champion, it's nothing new. He had all titles when He defeated Klitchko. Every boxing fight is about Legacy. Fury can never be the greatest heavyweight in history. Even as British, Lewis is miles ahead of both AJ and Fury. |
deavicky:Fight never start. Na undercard dey on now... That is the other fights before the main fight. It's live |
Necksonnel:I think it's 11:30 naija time. |
Hughie Fury vs Mariusz Wach is on now. Fury family dey fight ![]() |
Matinho:If you had taken your time to go through the posts, you would have seen the link posted.. |
BluntTheApostle:Fury is dishonest, just try and follow him. Klitchko complained about the same until Fury was banned. He refused the rematch. Fury is a great fighter, yes, very skillful. But the only person that can match him skill for skill is AJ. AJ is an Olympic champion, that means he has the basic boxing skills, hit and dont get hit, he can dance and he is a heavy puncher. Fury might be more skillful as he started boxing earlier than AJ. But I am not placing him to far ahead of AJ. They have sparred before when younger and they both respect each other, don't you think that if Fury messed AJ up in that sparring, he would be singing it now, because he is so loud mouthed. I love Fury but he fall hand ducking Wilder. |
Openbusiness:First, the fight is not about anyone's ego, they are fighting to unify the division. It is just an added advantage that they are both British, so it's the biggest fight to be in British boxing history, to have 2 heavy weight English Champs going at it to unify the division. No fighter will fight any other fighter for ego. That was the mistake Wilder made and is regretting it right now. It is about unifying the division and having one undisputed champ. I agree with you that pride comes in, but that is not the main reason for the said fight, it is about unification of the titles. Wilder had surgery and was hopeful that they settle for a later date, but how would Fury then quickly come out to say the contract has expired. He he has balls, let him take the fight again. I am now believing that Fury is scared of Wilder. For Whyte, he is mandatory challenger for Fury, he blew that by losing to Povektin, in a fight that he already had in the bag. Once Whyte wins the rematch, he is definitely fighting Fury. For AJ vs Fury, forget it, na publicity you dey see. There is much more to it than just announcing, they want to unify the division and yet if AJ agrees to the fight next, he has to vacate the IBO title, so what are they unifying? |
BluntTheApostle:As much as we know Fury won the first fight, Please was it announced as a win for him or a draw. Officially, we have a draw and a win for Fury, the third fight should hold. Fury is not honest. If he was so certain, why is he running away. Even AJ has said he will give Ruiz a third fight. That's much about honesty. I love Fury as a fighter, but he is cunning and dishonest. Imagine him hoping AJ loses this fight |
The Congo King BAKOLE just won. He's been sparring with AJ. Benefits of sparring with the champ ![]() |
BluntTheApostle:You are too correct. But Usyk vs JJ will only happen if AJ vacates the IBO title. Usyk will definitely fight AJ as he is Mandos for him after this fight. I would have loved to watch Usyk vs JJ though, JJ is too underrated. Just like AJ But should AJ win this, there is no rematch, it's unto the next one, Pulev will have to work his way back to be contender number 1 |
BluntTheApostle:There is a third fight clause in the contract. So then why is Wilder sueing (sic) Fury if there is no clause for a third fight. You see, no be today Fury start this game. He did the same with Klitchko when he first won Klitchko. He refused to accept the rematch, despite the rematch being in the contract. Wilder is ready to fight Fury, but Fury is not who you think is he, he will keep ducking and will fight only bums. Thing is that he has a mandatory challenger who is Povektin for now, unless Whyte beats Povektin. AJ vs Fury will not work for now, unless AJ will vacate some belts. But for Wilder vs Fury, Fury is playing a game here. |
AFONJACOW:Wilder has confessed himself that he rejected an offer from AJ for a fight, just so that he will fight Fury, and now Fury is avoiding Wilder himself. So AJ never avoided Wilder, Wilder did the ducking. Just watch how Fury will duck AJ after tonight's AJ's win |
greggng:I am pretty much confident. Pulev is 39 and is the challenger. You do not become champion overnight. AJ has defeated better fighters. Pulev is only contender because he defeated a washed up Derrick Chisora. Who doesn't beat Chisora these days? |
Okolie fights for GB, just like AJ. AJ is his manager. He still has to work hard before becoming number 1 contender for his division. lekki1444: |
So where are the big men that are into other sports? There is no big man anywhere in any sports that can challenge a professional boxer without being a professional himself. Boxing also pays more than most sports you know about, just to be clear. And there are 100s of the supposedly big men contending to get a shot at the heavyweight titles, but believe me, no body dey anywhere wey fit even contend with the top7 heavyweights. And there's millions of $$$ in boxing. AJ is richer than 98% of the footballers you know today. In Boxing, fight day is payday. Then there's the deals and endorsements, just like other sports. Fury only said "prime" Mike Tyson will defeat him, just like it was proven by experts that prime Mike Tyson will defeat prime M. Ali. Claudiusdeux: |
Na wa for Bron o. How him go say this na the toughest ring him don win na. Even if some of us knew before the season started that Lakers will emerge champions, but for baba to say it was the toughest, e no gel na. Him sha wan glorify the ring, but for where? Comma still dey. Then again una Laker boys, E don do na, we know say una don win, e don do, the new season is almost upon us, make una allow us concentrate na. Congratulations to you guys, una ring na una own, we no collect am. lol. @steady, I watch the game yesterday and that Horton-Tucker kid is legit. I thougt he was someone with experience until I checked him out today and saw he is only 20. The guy na baller and his confidence is something to really commend. Trez too was massive last night, I still believe Clippers bleeped up letting him go to the Lakers, he'll deffo be huge for you guys. Without Bron, this team goes nowhere, lets hope baba stays healthy all season, but I doubt it sha. From what I saw last night, Clippers will struggle without Kawhi and PG, even with them, they will struggle this season. Ibaka didn't play much last night but he is a solid addition with the little we saw. I sha don port. Did anyone watch the Blazers game? That team will cause problems this season, they just have to stay healthy. |
robosky02:Question is, can Pulev survive 3 rounds with AJ. Biko AJ is the champ and this is expected to be a walk in the park for him. AJ wins by KO inside 4 rounds |
Congratulations Lakers. See why I didn't waste my time hoping the heat could steal the series. The Heats mehn, massive respect for that team. See you guys next season, I hope LeBron does not even make the playoffs and old age catches up with the beast, but well championship has been well deserved. Congratulations |
Broom Broom Broom!!!! Although anything can happen tho, but not with this Lakers ![]() When Lakers wins game 2, Heat should just forget it abeg. |
steady986:My brother, we are talking about leBron's team here o. If the Lakers lose, I will be the happiest person, but since that team is unstoppable with leBron and AD, I better not stress myself and be neutral for once, I cannot be praying for someone to lose everyday and he only gets better. So better I relax and enjoy myself. Sincerely, Bron na cheat, 4 in 1 |
WeissVonner: I totally agree. But it's Lakers in 5, same as all playoffs. There has to be that feel out game for Bron |
steady986:If you can't beat them, join them. I am going with the Lakers for the finals, so make I no give myself hypertension. I no fit kill myself |
Roland17:Boss man, I hope una fit win the east o. Make Heats run and form no go end against Bron and AD. Wetin you think? |
WeissVonner:Come on Ersan. I was only being hopeful. Even at 0 - 0, I would never bet on the Nuggets and against Bron. I am not a fan of Bron but I know what that man is capable of. 17th year fa |
Congratulations Lakers, Bron remains a beast, it's just so difficult to dislike this guy. The Nuggets gave it their best, I'm proud of the team and their efforts, they can only get better. Thanks for the show JM and Jokic, Grant is legit. Like this. The finals won't be this easy tho, but I no trust Jimmy and his boys, I'd prefer the Celtics. |
