CodeineJunkiee: It's a cross between a bull mastiff and a rottweiler. Google for more info. Thanks Okay I took the liberty to actually Google ur bull mastiff and rottweiler cross but I have a few questions for u cos am a die hard rottweiler fan and if they can't b answered u have no business tryna mix den breeds. 1) Are you looking to b a breeder of mastweilers or there was scarcity of male rottweilers and u decided to gve it a shot. 2) Have u owned any mastweiler for a long period of time to ascertain to a newbie bout the dog's temperament, feeding and relationship with other dogs and family members that u absolutely sure this is the best for them. 3) Are you looking to improve on the breed, if yes which one place and if yes again how do I use intend doing that? Genetically or physical outlook. 4) And finally are u a breeder, wld love to know which breed u have more vast knowledge in. |

blasiangurl85: I agree with what you've written. Shadow is my first German Shepherd and it's been an experience. Before I got him I did a lot of research, I wanted a dog fit into family pet plus security dog without being too menacing and the German Shepherd fit what I was looking for. I've had several different breeds in the past but I will admit that the German Shepherd is definitely one of the smartest but also stubborn(at least for me). And boy do they have energy! But it's really a fun experience having Shadow around. Food wise he was a bit picky at first but now he's getting better. It's beautiful to see d growth of a 'once upon a time puppy'. Shadow is definitely not living in d shadows but d limelight |

CodeineJunkiee: I have a 1year plus male alsatian for sale. He's a well trained dog, has a good temperament and fierce when need be.
A home keeper and has proper potty training so he doesn't mess up his cage. He's good for security purposes.
Reason I'm selling him is because I'm expecting a bull mastiff pup one week from now and I can't be keeping 3 dogs together as I already have a female alsatian.
N.B: I have mastweiler pups for sale too. You can reach me on 08126960812 whatsapp for enquiries Mastweiler? Pls enlighten me |

wunmi590: Yeah you are right, but most of the GSD I see don't eat much, but I have tried in many ways to make zara eat, she still don't eat much. Yes of, had that experience with my first Gsd,very picky eater till she finally settled for Arion. Now she eats everything, age has a thing to do with it. |

I think people have come to see Gsds has more of a family dog than any other breed. Judging from the fact that most of them are easier to cope with than some toy dogs. And yea, easy to train cos dy are one of d most intelligent breeds, even a first time dog owner can train. |

BOUNTYDOG: Its not advisable to give dogs salt or any sauce,I have never added salt to my cooking over the years and they feed well, its partly why I don't recommend remnants for feeding because of the sauce aside other particles like bottle covers or servettes.
I was adviced not to ever gve salt when I bought my 1st dog and ever since I don't. Said salts make their barks to seize when they bark consistently and I think it works as their barks never seize even if they bark all day 24/7. I learnt dogs don't have tastebuds dunno how far true this is though! Noted, I guess we all learn a thing or two everyday |

Prodeegee: Right, sodium.
Sodium is however toxic to dogs.
Do you know Maggi also has nutrients? Some with protein. And less sodium Am sure it says too much salt, nt a pinch |

aquadude15: Thanks for your swift response bros. I thought salt isn't good for dog that is why I add maggi to the rice so it can have a good taste. I soak the crunchies so I can easily marsh it with the fish into the rice. My dog is a year old and I just bought him I believe salt is still good cos at been doing so for years, but it has to b a pinch like I said cos too much of everything is bad. And as for soaking of d cruchies it's nt a bad idea if u dog has digestion issues |

Pets › Re: In Need Of Advice On Proper Dog Meal!! by knyte(m): 2:57pm On Jun 17, 2015 |
Prodeegee: Soaking helps easy digestion.
No matter the age of the dog, when serving hard meal with a soft meal you either blend it or soak it.
If not done, the dog would swallow it in a whole. And u know the thing with digestion... True but if it's a dog thats old enough i dont see d problem with d digestion. Wld prefer the dog to exercise its teeth more though |
Pets › Re: In Need Of Advice On Proper Dog Meal!! by knyte(m): 2:55pm On Jun 17, 2015 |
Prodeegee: Too much salt isn't good for them. A pinch won't harm. Tho I don't see the use since salt is for tasting. And dogs judge food by smell not taste. Salt isnt just for tasting, provides minerals. Ever noticed a dog eating soil? That dog needs more minerals and salt is just a cheap source of it. Salt sound safer dan maggi |
Pets › Re: In Need Of Advice On Proper Dog Meal!! by knyte(m): 2:53pm On Jun 17, 2015 |
mystery1979: do you just say a pinch of salt when all I have been hearing is that salt is not good for dogs.hmmmm Dogs still need minerals and salt provides that. That's why I said pinch. |

aquadude15: Pls I want the gurus in the house to check out my feeding formula if I'm on d right path. I feed my dog white rice but I and palmoil, maggi and titus fish. When the food is cold I mix it with already soaked dry feed that is soft. Any correction pls? Cc. Seun , knyte , arcbay , prodeegee , bobbysaxxy Ur feeding plan isnt bad but u can stop d Maggi and u can add just a pinch of salt to the rice. Rice is good cos it digests well. And when d food get cold u can mix it with pre-warmed rice but won't advise it to b mixed with soaked dry feed. And why soaking it? How old is the dog |

pmadise: Does it mean pedigree dogs cannot be gotten locally again even from the renowned breeders in this NL section? I'm not unaware of some breeders here in 9ja peddling half as full breed but seeing importation from wherever as the penacea makes me curious. I wonder cos ds term 'importing" has been so widely used to the extent we feel if we get a quality dog here for 100k we won't go for it but rather a sub standard that wld sell for 150 just cos its imported. We have people that have imported pedigree dogs and are running a good breeding program so why can't we encourage that instead of going all the way. Jus saying* |

owner: Hi Guys,
I have been Secretly following this Pet section for Monhts now, Reading Interesting Post and Comment from a whole lot of Dog Breeders and I decided to Invest in Dog Breeding Business.
I have got enough Dogs presently and am hoping to Expand to nothing less than 60 Dogs before the End of 2015.
The Dog Kennel is fully functioning right now and I need Advice from my Ogas at the Top.
If you Wish to work in my Kennel, Let me know. This is amazing but wld advise u get a personal vet u work with, limit visitor entrance cos you dnt knw where they have been to so as not to bring unnecessary infections to ur Kennels. Make sure if u ur male dog as stud service u need to b sure about the female too. In summary for a project like this u need to b very careful not to loose what took serious finances, time and prayers in a day. Should come arnd anytime am in osun (u can kindly drop ur contact info) |

cbay: My Chloe is 5 months now and counting. I have changed her food from Arion to Diamond naturals extreme Athlete. I think i'm noticing some improvement in weight gain and activity. Arion caused her to smell badly with frequent smelling poop soft as a butter. The offensive smell put me off alot.
Right now she's lost most of her puppy tooth except one which is stuck and refusing to fall off. It has started affecting the gum. I'm going to try pull it out or loosen it to allow it fall off. I hope she doesn't bite me in the process. She has bitten me before and I'm kinda careful these days with her.
What do you think about her y'all
see more pics here: https://www.nairaland.com/2281651/snap-upload-puppy-dog-here/15#34784190 Apart from the fact that you chose the perfect name for her u have successfully jumped all hurdles. Your dog is doing wonderfully well and yes I agree about the arion and d smelly poop. Diamond is better as long as you can afford it. Keep it up |
