My salary account happens to be the normal account I operate. I generated just 6 months MBS for it. My dom account was just 5 months old when I applied. Yes, you should explain it very well in your LOE. Also include your employment letter and payslips (if they issue it at your place of work). happachris: Yes it does. Thank you.
How many months of bank statement did you do for your salary account?
I stated I resigned my previous job from my initial application. So I just got a new job which after i submitted my application. will I need to include it in the new application form or not?
All can be explained in the new LOE right? |

They’ve replied my email. I’ll drop this here in case anybody needs it. Kobayashi01: Co ask.
Does anybody know how much exactly the transmission fee is?
Also, please for the 4-page consent form, I read we need to fill just the second page. Does that mean I don’t need to include the 3rd and 4th pages in my package?
Thanks.

Hello, Yes, I’m currently working. I got the job about one and a half months before my application. I included both my employment letter and my approval for study leave. I dropped both my salary account statement and my domiciliary account statement (where most of my money was). I had just about 60k in my salary account at the time of applying. Hope this helps. happachris: Congratulations on your ppr.
Please can I ask you few questions?
1. You said job, are u working presently? If you do, did you include your employment letter in the submission?
2. Your account statements you dropped, was it the one you use to get salary from your job? Or just anyone? |

I want to thank everyone on this platform. I’ve learnt a lot by reading messages here, as I now understand things about the process which I initially didn’t know. I also appreciate everyone who carried us along by sharing their timelines, it was very helpful.
I pray all still waiting for PPR would get positive decisions on time. May God come through for us all.
Finally, I want to encourage all those who are reapplying, don’t give up, there’s nothing too big for God. Commit the situation to his hands, order your gcms notes and table the reason for the delay here on this thread. This is one big family, I personally would contribute in my own little way by making suggestions, and I know everyone else, including the gurus would do the same.

Good morning my people. Long post alert.
Firstly, I’ll like to thank Almighty God for coming through for me. I just got PPR.
Timeline Did upfront medicals: March 28 (IOM) Applied: April 7th Background check started immediately Biometrics updated: April 12th Medicals updated to passed: April 13th Eligibility review started: Around April 28 (I didn’t note this, it was until I discovered this thread I knew it was noteworthy) Orders GCMS notes: June 11 Emails and web forms to Lagos and Nairobi: June 16 Bvl and PPR: June 23 (7:50am)
First time applicant. I discovered this thread after I had applied and I immediately noticed some mistakes….. I didn’t submit my BSc transcript and I had lump sums moved to my dom account, although I briefly stated that the funds were transferred by my immediate family members in my LOE (this was verifiable from the statement’s inflow) and I also had almost zero outflow on the account.
I submitted personal MBS, papers statements of my sponsor and IELTS with my application so there was no NSE request. My brother is a Canadian PR and he is my sponsor. I had tuition for 1 year and flight money in my GTB Dom account and he had my 10k CAD living cost set aside in a savings account of his.
I’m 25 years old and my program starts in August. For home ties, I used a property that was gifted to me by my mum, my parents and my job.
When I saw that people who applied after me were getting PPR requests, I started to lose faith. My mum saw I was down, prayed with me and I felt enlightened again. I want to encourage you all to keep the hope high. God will do it. |

Hello, you can generate it yourself from your banking app. Log in, you’ll see an arrow pointing right then swipe that region towards the left, select “Account statement” , select “send statement to embassy” ,fill the form. Destination is Canada. The ticket would be sent to the email address you registered with the bank. Download it and attach it to your application. Cheers. Iffylove: Hello everyone... Hello there, He needs to have his tripped planed well. You don’t want to have your passport with the Canadian embassy when you’re supposed to leave Dubai. You can first confirm within how many days the Canadian embassy expects your passport after the request has been made, and factor that in your plans. If you have enough time left on your Dubai visa, and you’re sure you wouldn’t be leaving Dubai yet, you can check out Dhl Express’s service. Cheers. Enjay316: how then does he send d passport too if he receives ppr.plz advise sir |

I’m really sorry about this. Your next application would be positive by the Grace of God. I’m sure the gurus would be here to assist you soon. Have you ordered your GCMS notes though? It’s advisable to do so before reapplying. Ruthbella: I was denied today based on insufficient fund and proposed course of study. And then a lump sum of 12,000 CAD in my personal account. My hubby is my sponsor and we have a fixed deposit account which we submitted. I want to reapply. Pls advise on how i can explain the concern of the VO. Thank you. |

There’s no negative implication as such. Although over the past few months, we’ve seen that complete applications are processed faster. It is advisable to go do your medicals and send them the document you’ll receive at the hospital even before they ask for it. Kindly book and do your medicals straightaway. Cheers. hertzz: what if i submitted my application without doing medicals upfront? is there a negative implication or I just wait for the medical mail request to drop first? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by Kobayashi01(m): 2:10pm On Jun 16, 2021 |
Yes you can go ahead. That was what I did. Just ensure you click that “you’ve done medicals” on that online checklist so that a slot to upload the document you’ll be given at the hospital would be added to you profile. Make sure you submit the document you’ll receive after your medicals together with your application. TheGbemisola: Hello everyone. Can someone who hasn’t submitted his application do upfront medicals?. I already booked for my medical but there’s a little delay in my submission. What can be done? |

Congratulations Darmison Darmison: Thank you all for the congratulatory messages. All thanks to the Past and Current Gurus, others sharing their cases here. I appreciate you all for letting us learn from your mistakes and advise. God bless you all.
HERE'S MY STORY The hustle was tough in 2019 trying to finding UNI rather than Colleges with my 2:2 pali. Somehow I came across UCW and I was admitted with scholarship but my Uncle advised i find better option. I couldn't land any MA admission since then, i was just wasting money and time. April 2020 while searching on IG, I came across this Agent that mentioned undergraduate in Manitoba. Mumu me applied to one irrelevant program thinking any program will do lol.
So my 1st Application Oct 2020 LoA: BA of Sciences. My Uncle did the application so I didn't know the documents he provided. [Sponsorship Letter from my parent, Employment letter of my parents, full first year tuition receipt and 35k cad as show money...NB: A family friend transferred the money to my mom Salary account. I have my mom open another bank for easy access and have her move all the money to the new account.] Biometric 3/October/2020 NsE: 24/November/2020 Refused: 8/jan/2020 [purpose of visit & personal assets and financial] Ordered for gcms 30/jan/2020
I learnt about Niaraland through a YouTuber. Started reading from thread 12 i think. I will sleep and wake up and continue . That was where I knew what went wrong with my 1st Application even b4 I received gcms.
2nd Applicantion 12th April LOA: MBA UCW An hour after gcms enter. Background check started immediately as well. I didn't notice the exact day my eligibility started but I'm sure it was between a week after I put in my application. 4 ghost update and later got another update when they updated my Medical. NB: I sent webform and email of my medical last week when someone mentioned he uploaded his upfront medical yet they requested again. 11th of June- Medical passed On Saturday someone mentioned he was refused cause of IMM1294E, i went back to check if I didn't make mistake. Gbam I made a simple mistake of year of graduation. I gave up right at that moment. Justmellow/ gcmswriters advised I send another through webform. They haven't acknowledged till now. 16th of June- Passport Request.
S/0 to Gcmswriters. They wrote my LOE and CV though with a cost. The LOE and CV helped me with backed with God's grace helped my profile massively. I recommend them.

It’s advisable to hold some cash USD/CAD to avoid unforeseen contigencies. If you have a dorm account, you can get a dollar card. Be careful while changing money though, if anyone has a plug, they can guide you. Alchemist01: Hello Guys,
As an international student just going to Canada, what's the best way to pay for things with the $100 monthly restrictions on Mastercards ?
For example, the hotel qurantine which is the first 3 days after you land, the average cost is about $900, what is the easiest way someone can pay for this ?
Barter is not an option because their exchange rate is ridiculous.
I am just trying to figure out the easiest way to make payment from a Nigerian bank account.
Also, does anybody know a legitimate place in Lagos where someone can change physical cash to CAD or USD ? |
