Our minor children recently got approved for student permits. Both parents are here in Canada. In case you have been in a similar situation, I need your input:
1. Do we put all the passports in one envelope and mail, or put each passport in an envelope? 2. Do we pay transmission fees since the kids were exempted from giving biometrics? 3. The VAC consent form is confusing. Do we fill out the form, scan it from here, and send it to the person who will submit the passports?
Minor children applicants have been waiting since November 2025. Anyone in the same boat with me. I have sent webforms, asked MP to help checking with IRCC, called IRCC agents myself but to no avail.
Sire20: Honestly, the wait is tiring since November. My sister also got submission confirmation for her son’s WP on 24th of last month. I guess applications from Nigeria are being treated same day with same flow. We are hopeful and looking onto God for a positive result.
I have messaged MP, emailed the IRCC personally, but nothing. Fingers crossed.
leinadfem: Thanks, I got confirmation of submission for my daughter today as well. I’m applying for the family, myself, daughter and wife. Confirmation of submission came in for myself on Feb 3. Let’s keep the hope alive.
b4biodun: Greetings to the Gurus on this platform, thanks alot for all the good work you do. Please, i need your assistance. I am in Canada on work permit, i tried applying for study visa for my 3 children and they just got refused. I need assistance to reapply for them. Their rejection was based on not enough ties, insufficient fund (16000Cad) here in Canada.
Assistance with a strong reapplication will be appreciated
When did you apply? What province are you? What do you do? How much do you make? The officer puts all of these into consideration while access your kids applications. I'm in the same shoe with you. I applied for my three kids since November 2025 but not heard back from them.
I had the opportunity to visit the world's largest snow maze in St. Adolphe, Manitoba, Canada, on Family Day. It was a great experience for me. It took me about 30 minutes to walk in the maze.
leinadfem: No update yet, I received AOR letter/ Submission confirmation on the 3rd of Feb and I thought that was weird as I thought I should have received that since last year when I submitted application, I’m positive for us all tho, we’ll hear good news soon.
Sire20: She also received confirmation of submission on Feb 3 as well.
Just following up again, today marks 3 months since I submitted the study permit applications for my minor kids. It's really hard. I have sent web forms, MP contacted the IRCC agent twice now, but nothing new. It's really frustrating. I don't know what to do. Please help a frustrated brother here.

Thanks for sharing. No update yet from our side. I think it is strange considering the processing time for Nigerian applicants.
Sire20: My sister applied since November 20th, and no update since biometric has been completed. Even her upfront medical was not update. I wondering what the problem is with the pause.
Do you have any updates on your sister's application yet?
cessna150: There is no update? I wonder why it is really taking time for the processing.
No update yet. I recently got my 3 years PGWP. So I updated their profile with the approved physical copy of my PGWP permit. Additionally, we already applied for non express entry pr application for them, but we would like to have them before the PR application is finalized. The processing time for PR non express entry is 16 months.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I thought we are the only one facing this delay.
