My Canada student visa was denied, and I paid full tuition fees. I have more than 7.5m in my acc and 5m investment too. The denial letter says my assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself. I want to re-apply What should I do to get the visa?

Sorry for the refusal but most times it is not about how much you pay, nor how much you have in your bank account. Do you explain the source in your statement of purpose?

When applying for a student visa, it has been said here that it is not only about your finances but forms filled, documents submitted and your Statement of purpose.

Just order your Gcsmnotes for clarification on the main reasons why you were denied.

Don't get discouraged.

Good Morning everyone, please at what point after passport submission will we get our letter of introduction on our portal.

My school has given me a deadline of Friday to submit my letter of introduction, I heard it comes after your passport has been stamped.

Ups finally delivered mine yesterday morning, but I don't know how long it will take before I get that letter of approval on my portal so I can quickly submit it to my school.

Abuja or Lagos?
It is after your passport is stamped that you will get your introductory letter, and someone said here, in less than 24 hours after your passport is stamped.

Mind you, your passport delivered at VFS will have to go to Canada Visa Office for stamping.

My passport was delivered last week Wednesday, and I just got a notification from VFS this morning that is undergoing process at IRCC.

When your passport is ready to go to Canada Visa Office, you will get an email with a tracking number.

Hello house! How long does a passport submission done through DHL (to and fro) typically take to be returned from the visa office?

When did you submit it? Averagely 9 days because of the courier service. Mind you, you can only do one way, they have cancel the return courier service. You will pay the return to them and they will be the one to return it back to you.

Have you received your passport back? When did you submit your passport?

On Passport Submission

Dear all,

During my recent conversation with VFS customer service regarding passport stamping, I received some valuable information that I would like to share with all of you. According to the representative, VFS places a higher priority on passports submitted in person as opposed to those sent via courier service. Those submitted by courier are done batch by batch.

Hence, if you are situated in Abuja, Lagos, or the neighboring states, it would be advisable to personally submit your passport if you require a prompt processing time.

I didn't count the weekend. I only counted the working days. All things been equal your passport should be at the VAC by now. Send a mail to Canadang@vfshelpline.com requesting for your tracking number,if you have not done so already.

I finally got them to respond with the tracking number, and this is the message I got after using the tracking number: Your processed passport has been forwarded to the Canada Visa Office on 2023/05/16. To know more, please call the VAC helpline number or visit the VAC website....

Does that mean that I will be getting it back soon?

My brother, it's been a long wait.

9+ weeks, and no major progress by IRCC!

Did you Gckey or the new portal? Use the application tracker to check it

These IRCC VOs have obviously overstretched their bandwidths. Referencing a ban where there is none is a big competency problem.

They should learn efficiency in visa processing from the U.K!!!!

On May 5th, they told me my application was under review. Yesterday, they said it is awaiting review. Can you imagine? undecided

Still waiting for your PPR?

Okay. Go ahead then.

I got a message from them saying that I will have to wait till they send the information to me. Did you count the weekend as part of your 9 days to receive your stamp passport? It was received on Wednesday last week, tomorrow 6 days that the passport has been with them.

Thank you for the response, in my last application there was nothing like a visa ban in the reason they gave, I even apply for my gcms note then absolutely nothing like a visa ban in the reason stated, I can even post my last application refusal reason, I am surprised with the prior refusal statement, someone even said maybe my sponsor one of them may have been ban before, so, as a result, they refused me due to that reason, am still surprised, attached is my last refusal reason, there was nothing like procedural fairness letter which is the norm that proceed a ban

Maybe you answered yes to a question that you should have said No. Or it was a mistake on their part. And also please check your application form well and see what you have filled. Before you would be given a ban, they usually allow you to reply.

How many times have applied?
Did you apply by yourself?

Yes, it's sent via email. The SMS is optional, I presume. Someone I know didn't pay for that.

I chatted with one of their representatives, and he said I should send an email to request for the tracking id.

Yep. I used DHL. Those guys at VSF nearly gave me a High BP. They didn't sent me any notification after receiving the passport until I wrote and "chatted" them up. Despite paying for SMS they couldn't send even a single SMS.

I didn't pay the SMS, will they still send me the tracking id that I want to request from them?

It took a total of 9 days from the time my passport got to the VSF's Lagos office to the time I received it back . Expect your passport back next week. You can track the passport... write to them for the tracking ID

Thank you so much.

I received my letter of introduction after submitting my passport. I guess it's sent when your passport get to the visa office. It's not same as a passport request letter. Yes, my processed passport is back.

When did you send your passport? And how long does it take? I sent my passport last week and it got there on Wednesday.

LOI is given after your PPR. It drops on your application portal as soon as your passport is stamped. You may also receive it in the same envelope together with your stamped Int'l passport (like me).
You'll submit it as soon as you arrive Canada at the POE.

Thank you so much

Not advisable to book a flight without your passport. I didn't use courier so I wouldn't be able to give you a concrete response on this.

Thank you

I know he didn't have any clue about LOI that I was talking about.

Once you have successfully submitted and picked up your passport(assuming you picked in person, not sure about using courier to pick up), your LOI is sent to your GCKey portal within less than 24hours from when you picked up the passport. That's how you get your LOI

I submitted my passport through UPS last week Monday, it was received by VFS on Wednesday morning. How long do you think it would take before getting my passport back? And do you think it is advisable to book a flight without my stamped passport?

Good evening good people, I have received so much help from this forum and I am very appreciative of that.
I recently got a Port Of Entry Introduction Letter from IRCC and one of the documents I was told to bring is "proof that you have enough money to support yourself during your stay in Canada." in order for me to get my study permit. Please who knows what that means? I am bringing a bank statement of account?

Is letter of introduction the same as Passport Request letter that you submitted alongside with your passport? And if no, when does someone get the letter of introduction?

Have you received your passport back?

Please is there any problem with having a cousin in the UK as your sponsor for Canada study permit application...does it raise a red flag?
You must be willing to establish the tie between you.

Hello Everyone,

Please has anyone gotten study permit with a one year Masters program? It looks to me like more people are getting visas with a college program than Master's degree..

My cousin who intend to do a one year Masters program in University of Waterloo got rejected for the 2nd time. School fees for the entire program (45,000 cad) has been fully paid, he submitted his savings and investment accounts which has more than enough for his living expenses for more than 1 year, apart from that he added his brother's account who is his sponsor.
So in terms of finance, he submitted his sponsor and his own personal savings and investment accounts which has more than enough money, no lump sum in any of the accounts.
Now, all his siblings are in Canada as citizens and PR, he is the only one remaining in Nigeria apart from the parents.
The reasons for his refusal are:
1. Insufficient financial and assets which is surprising as school fees is fully paid and living expenses shown is more than enough. No lump sum
2. Not having substantial family ties outside Canada. Yes all siblings are in Canada but should he be punished for that? Besides, parents are still in Nigeria
3. The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with temporary stay. I don't understand given that his program aligns with his education and work experience for his career growth.
Note he is newly married and spouse is not going with him which I think was a good home ties yet ......

According to GCMS, the first refusal was Insufficient financial situation and didn't establish relationship with sponsor who is his blood brother despite paid school fees and enough available funds for living expenses. This was addressed again in the 2nd application. I'm beginning to doubt if this VOs actually go through these applications.

I'm so much interested in his case cos my own last born is the only one remaining in Nigeria and I want to sponsor him next year so I'm following closely the success of my cousins application. I'm beginning to wonder if there are hidden reasons for refusal other than what they officially state cos some refusals don't make logical sense.

Please how do we proceed from here? Should he change from Masters to 2-year college program?

I got my visa for two years Masters's program. I do not think because he is going for a master's program that is why he was refused.

How did you do it?.
Did you use courrier service or you submitted it by yourself.
What was the process for submission.

I used UPS to send it to them. If you are using a courier service, you do not need an appointment.

Greetings
Please what is the chances of getting students visa with your family, like family of 5. My Sister said the chances are 20% chances.

Or is better to apply alone first
Please someone should help me and answer me

If you can explain why your family is going with you, you should apply with them. We have seen people here who received visas for the whole family.

But if you do not have any other tie than the family then you should not apply with them. You can apply alone and then they will join you later.

This is just my opinion. Others in the house can help you out
