Career / Re: MBA Salaries In Nigeria? by koko777(m): 11:38am On Jul 16, 2007
Thanks for all your replies, I have a total of about 8 years experience working in the US, six years post first degree. I have worked in various industires ranging from IT service companies to banks. I recently started working in the business sector for about two years, that was part of what inspired me to get a MBA.

I love Nigeria. I have been away for 10 years and want to do some good there(in Nigeria). MBA 's here get paid good on average, but i also hear that Nigeria is place one can make good money.

@jaja77, Then fwd your applications to multinational coys you may be fortunate to be called for interview sooner than expected, but my bro you have been away for like a decade according to you, mindyou Naija was not how you left it, Are you really convinced you want to work and stay in Nigeria? plenty social wahala dey o! Anyhow give it a thought, though Nigeria is the best place to enjoy and make good money. Good luck!

@ ebos, You  are quite right!

@jaja77,  The coy will determine the pay, if you are fortunate to nip a multinational coy, definitely the pay will be bulky due to your qualifications, but i'll advice you work for like a year or two in the uk to garner experience(s), that will give you an edge and makes you stand tall.  Anyway, no reputable firm will pay you less than 1.2m/annum, meager sei, that's Naija 4 u! Pray you get your God given job, then you 'll be smilling to bank at the end of every month. Goodluck!

Religion / Re: Why Do Some Men Hate Going To Church? by koko777(m): 2:52pm On Jul 11, 2007
smiley perhaps, it's laziness cos i do believe many of the men in this category do call on Jesus whenever they are in distress. They need to be encouraged cos it's good to serve the lord.  Reading the thread i noticed some sentiments concerning going to church, leave that to God to judge, lets focus on our spiritual purity while in church. May the lord deliver the weak hearted. it's very rewarding going to church!

Politics / Re: Obasanjo Angry With Yaradua Over Kingibe by koko777(m): 4:04pm On Jun 12, 2007
My people this is just the beginning, OBJ hv not seen anything, i bet there are more IBB and Abacha's boys that will be planted in Yar' Adua cabinet. OBJ thought hausas are fool, he will soon realised his mistakes. He thought it's only him that knows everything, He always like things done in his own way, can u imagine some of the PDP presidential contestant then from south south with nice concept, programme and vision. But No! OBJ no go gree. We hv a problem in this country every leaders choose successors for selfish reasons not the one that will competently do the job.
As regards Baba Gana Kingibe, though he's competent for the position but he's done enough for this country, moreover history is not in his favour at all, so it's a mistake on the part of Yar Adua to hv chosen him, i believe there other equally competent people that can do the job irrespective of age or gender.
Romance / Re: Would you test your Fiance/Fiancee? by koko777(m): 10:12am On Jun 12, 2007
@DE-KING, The truth is your friend doesn't truly love the girl, can u imagine the scenerio yourself, after tempting the innocent girl, and she, having the confidence that he would marry her soonest, whatelse would u expect from any lady in that circumstance. Honestly ur friend is a fool! Better ask him to run and apologise to the poor girl 'cos he's lost his wife 4real.
As per ur wotever test, i aint believe in that crap, if i'm down with a lady to the level of marriage i should hv had some confidence in her. As per doin any silly thing lets leave that till then but rem we re human! i.e Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinskey, the white house intern. Did Hilary crucify her husband? give it a thought my pal.
Politics / Re: Patricia Etteh: New Speaker Of House Of Reps by koko777(m): 2:11pm On Jun 07, 2007
smiley @aisha2. Nice thread, lets see how it goes, she may turn out to perform creditably well like her folks, Ngozi okonjo- iweala, Dora akunyili, oby ezekwesili. it's not always abt a volume of certificates. As regards political clout, my sis she's got it, without which she wouldn't hv been chosen in the first place, politics in Nigeria is all about intrigues, full of serious lobbying and manipulations. Inshort lets see how she play out but i'm confident she won't disappoint Nigerians.

Family / Re: Why Are My Friends In Nigeria Always Asking Me For Money? by koko777(m): 11:57am On May 07, 2007
It's a common norm in Naija to ask their well to do friends favour, what i'll advice is to do the little you can and leave the rest. what comes around, goes around. Nothing bad in been your brother's keeper. keep on keeping on. it's well.
