No, the clannish government we have in Anambra State will rather take everything to his village than build something tangible in a commercial and industrial nerve center of the state. Aguleri today has more solid road infrastructure than the entire towns in Anambra State.

This is the problem with an average African , they dont think beyond their nose. Anambra did not start and end with Awka. Anambra is a very unique state with very aggressively emerging towns and it will be foolhardy to pour all our resources in Awka just to give it decent aesthetics and impress gullible few. What Obi did in Anambra can never be matched by any governor since return of democracy. Anambra is the most financially stable state because of Obi and its this backbone that has given Obiano the confidence to take on some even more challenging projects.

The shopping mall that was completed by Obiano how far with that.
Peter Obi said something very wise on channels tv after he left office. He said you cant replicate every project that was successful in lagos in Anambra because the need of these two states are different....wisdom

How are malls are a priority for a state government? What percentage of citizens actually shop in these malls?

Governments don’t have unlimited resources, they have competing demands and have to choose programs that improve the welfare of the highest number of citizens. Prestige projects like the ones you seem to love are just crowd pleasers sand do little to improve the important things.

You know clearly that we don't have the power plants required to serve only Anambra talkless of the entire igboland and even now that we receive external power from other parts of Nigeria, we still have power interruptions every time. Only Anambra and maybe Ebonyi can produce enough rice for themselves, what then happens to other Igbo states? Where are we going to get adequate supply of vegetables, tomatoes, pepper, soybeans etc which we currently get from the north?

spyder are you the one saying this?see i am not from Ebonyi state but i can tell you that gov umahi has done more than anyother gov in south east,i hope you saw his 3 flyovers?please can you compare that to other govs?or can you compare his roads to other govs?what about the grass tunnel flyover his constructing? the same gov is building a shopping mall in Ebonyi state?or should i talk about abakaliki rice please note is not a paper rice but real rice.and umahi is about to start the 4th flyover in Abakaliki.what about the new govt house is building or you have not seen it or hear about it?and dont forget that he pays workers on 15th to 20th of every month and many other projects is doing for the last three years.umahi is the best in south east,my only problem with him and other are issue of biafria.

Even if things get done the way u have put them, getting Biafra now is the worst thing that can ever happen to us and our land. If we break out now, we will be cut out of the national power grid thereby leaving our land in total darkness, we don't have a functional seaport, many Igbo people will lose their businesses located outside igboland in Nigeria, there will be mass relocation of over 10 million Igbos back to Igboland which will stretch our little infrastructure, we will lack food because we are currently not sufficient in any food crop we consume etc. Many things have to be addressed before we even think about breaking out of Nigeria.

Incidentally i was with gov Wike in the meeting with Davido yesterday at the Bricks House, afterwards his younger brother who's a personal friend brought me close to the gov and he never used any English language the entire 2 minutes we greeted. He spoke very fluent Igbo language just like Odili.

I heard stream 2 will be going by September( not too sure), if nysc opens it's portal for registration by then, that means some of the new pcms will be added.

bro, I jex spoke with a lady that works in the student affairs unit, she said she doesn't know when they will be going for service but a fresh mobilization is ongoing.
I asked her if they were asked to use batch C while filling the manual mobilization form, she said they all used batch B while filling the form. she said she has no idea when they will be going for service
