Politics / Re: Job Scam: Police Rescue 50 Stranded Foreigners In Lagos Building by Kolaposhodipo: 12:59am On May 12
When you become a victim of scam, I suggest to report to authorities and check with the representatives of that company. This looks like a case of some people scamming others using the name of a random company. I saw a lot of direct selling companies such as Herbalife, Max International etc have faced similar situations too.

The issue of scam and human trafficking in this country is an unfortunate one. I wonder why people keep falling for such unrealistic scams. I also think it's unfair to just assume it is a particular company when there really is no proof.
What I know from some information being circulated by the actual QNET company is that they don't support migration or even offer jobs to anyone. I heard their radio jingle recently. I think it was called the say no campaign. It's so sad people don't research before sending scammers their hard-earned money.

Education / Igniting Financial Literacy Youths Among Youths In Nigeria by Kolaposhodipo: 12:05pm On Oct 25, 2023
A crucial life skill that often gets overlooked is financial literacy. Financial literacy is important as it empowers youths, helps them make informed choices about saving, investing, and spending, avoids debt traps and instils an entrepreneurial Spirit.

Ways to Promote Financial Literacy among Youths:

1. Integrate it into the Curriculum: Schools can incorporate financial education into their programs.
2. Workshops and Seminars: Organize events focusing on practical financial skills, budgeting, and investing, such as the just concluded FinGreen programme in Lagos.
3. Online Resources: Encourage using reputable online platforms and resources for self-study.

Remember, the more we educate ourselves and others about financial matters, the brighter our financial futures will be!

Travel / Importance Of Choosing Holiday Packages by Kolaposhodipo: 10:36am On Jul 04, 2023
Summer is coming for some people, and so vacation planning has begun for them. So, if you’re planning a summer vacation, you can borrow a few tips here. Planning a vacation is exciting, but it's important to be able to make your vacation cost-effective. 2 years ago, after COVID, I wanted to go on a holiday to rejuvenate my soul, but the costs were not adding up, so I looked into holiday packages. The package I got included accommodations, transportation, and the activities I intended to partake in on my trip.

That package allowed me to stick to my budget because I could save more money than I would have if I had booked everything individually. Additionally, the package ensured that I explored the highlights of my destination and enjoyed various experiences. Last summer vacation with my girlfriend, we used the same package again, a qvi holiday package, and we had a blast.

So, take your time, research, and select a holiday package matching your travel style and desired activities. It's all about creating those amazing memories and having the best holiday ever as problem no dey ever finish.

Music/Radio / Nigerian Music Videos by Kolaposhodipo: 9:41am On May 12, 2023
As a music lover and enthusiast, I’m always listening to music. Even when I watch TV, best believe it's a music channel. Music is the food to my soul, and lately, I’ve been so proud of the music our Nigerian artistes have been putting out there.

The Nigerian music scene has been doing so well lately, and their videos are always top-notch. From the creative visuals to the wardrobe and energy, you can feel through the dance steps. Music directors like TG Omori, Clarence Peters, Sesan, and Daps are doing a good job so far. These guys are game changers in the music direction scene!

Nairaland / General / How QNET Gives Back To The Community by Kolaposhodipo: 1:15pm On Mar 22, 2023
Before I commit to any company, I research to see if that company engages in any social responsibilities. I decided to do my background research on QNET. To my surprise, the company is committed to continuous growth.

QNET is the leading direct-selling business that inspires individuals worldwide to be Entrepreneurs. Though they are an e-commerce business organisation that sells various products to customers, they are concerned about giving back to the communities they are located in.

My research helped me to know that the company is contributing to sustainable change in the world. QNET has a social impact initiative called the Raise Yourself To Help Mankind (RYTHM) Foundation. The organisation and its employees volunteer to help society by cleaning beaches, planting trees and distributing food to the homeless. They also help the elderly by cleaning and painting homes and working with children, specifically those with special needs.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Russia Forgives $20 Billion Debts Of African Countries - Putin (Photos) by Kolaposhodipo: 11:01am On Mar 21, 2023
I hope that people know that in this world, nothing is done for nothing, there will always be a selfish motive. So in as much as this sounds a good thing, a great thing, remember that this was someone who waged war on a neighbouring country for no just cause, causing the deaths of innocent human beings who are just being referred to as collateral damage now, whats to say that he won't do worse to African countries when he achieves his goal? There will always be discrimination among blacks, even in this Nigeria we still discriminate based on tribe, how much more a country hoping to become world empire, imagine how Africans are viewed there. I advise that we take this news with a pinch of salt.

WriterNig:

🇷🇺 Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday said Moscow has forgiven debts of African states worth more than $20 billion.

Speaking at an international parliamentary conference titled “Russia-Africa in a Multipolar World,” Putin said the trade turnover between Russia and African countries is growing every year, reaching almost $18 billion in 2022.

"It is unlikely that such a figure can fully suit us, but we know that this is far from the limit," he added.

Putin also said he believed that "the development of counter-commodity exchanges will be facilitated by a more energetic transition in financial settlements to national currencies, and the establishment of new transport and logistics chains."

He further said: "Additional opportunities are opened up by the process of establishing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), which began in 2021, which in the future will become a continental market with a total GDP of more than $3 trillion."

Russia, he said, is in favor of establishing ties with AfCFTA both through the Eurasian Economic Union and on a bilateral level, adding that Africa will become one of the leaders of the multipolar world.

"The states of 🌍 Africa are constantly increasing their weight and their role in world affairs, they are asserting themselves more and more confidently in politics and in the economy. We are convinced that Africa will become one of the leaders in the emerging new multipolar world order," Putin added.

He said Russia and the countries of Africa, Asia, and Latin America are against the neo-colonial ideology.

"Russia and African countries uphold moral norms and social principles traditional for our peoples, and oppose neo-colonial ideology imposed from outside," he said. "Many states of Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America adhere to similar positions, and together we make up the world majority."

It’s not a new thing. He did the same thing in 2020 during Covid.

He is doing the same thing now because of the cash crunch issue from CBN and if you remembered, he slashed prices of BRT and other government facilities few weeks ago for the same reason.

grin grin grin Cash crunch issue? The one that started even before the presidential elections?
Why now and not when it started? Why wait until after the presidential elections?

By the way, what does cash crunch have to do with releasing impounded vehicles?
If it is okay to impound then auction people's vehicles for minor traffic offenses, why is it not okay to overlook the cash crunch? Afterall, they do not have to pay with cash or do they?

I am amused at how you used "stupidity and tribal fuulishness (foolishness)" to supposedly describe a set of people but still went ahead to finish off with "we will never have an igbo president in Nigeria," read your writeup again and if you do not see how you shot yourself in the leg? Then I am truly sorry for you grin cheesy grin

Nice one.

Sanwo should undo all religious propaganda that Obi Pandora initiated during the campaign.

Intelligence showed lot of Christians voted against APC because of that in Lagos irrespective of tribe because there are lot of mega churches around that Lagos-Ogun axis.

Those deluded Obiidiots are crying now that Sanwo is visiting churches, when their lord Obi was visiting, they were applauding him.

I have just one question for you.

Why did Sanwo choose now to release confiscated vehicles to their owners as opposed to auctioning them right before their crying eyes as is the norm?

What propaganda is he trying to undo here? I need to know?
