oga, u started well but you sha had to scatter everything with d last paragraph.
So, in d corner of ur mind, u think a school will employ a certified (though incompetent) teacher over a competent teacher who has none of d 'teaching certificates' u bandy upandan? So, u feel all those teachers dt defeated u in all those interviews are 'certified'?
Why not go back to all those schools u were unsuccessful at their interviews and find out the qualifications of those who beat u to d jobs? Don't be surprised that many of them are not (according to u) 'certified teachers'.

Plz, just go to church jejely and give testimony instead of blocking our ears with your entitlement mentality

I teach in one of the known education establishments with branches all over the country. In my branch of the school, students pay as high as over 500k in a session. The population of students is over 900. Guess what? ALL members of the teaching staff earn 60k...even MSc holders. As a matter of fact, the management said that as far as the system is concerned, upgrading your educational qualifications is for yourself and is not recognised by them. We work ROUND the year and only get two-weeks' leave in August (which isn't even definite; it could be taken away at the whim of the "Ogad at the Top"wink and one week in December...for a teaching job o. Add these to the constant threat of one's job! Do you want to know how the non-teaching staff are treated? They're asked to resign at the end of every term and reapply in the new term just so they aren't paid during the holiday.
hmmm I am sort of words, "there was a country" where exactly are we going to in this nation of ours

I'm sorry, but I find it hard to believe the figures mentioned in your post. A school charging 350k and paying the teachers 30k? That sounds far-fetched. Please name the school and we can follow up. If you do not wish to drop the name here, private chat me. I'm interested in knowing the school. I run a school where the fees is from 24k - 60k and I pay more than that! Besides, I think young education graduates should form cooperative societies, rent a building from their NYSC year savings, and start their schools rather than fighting greedy proprietors over their schools.

God bless you sir/ma, even me too, I have been to an interview before, after I have written the test and performed excellently, they said they will be paying 40k as salary and that is their fixed price, non negotiable, and I have already made an enquiry about their school fees before in which I was told that day students are paying 250k and boarders are paying 350k, infact they even said that if they want to pay for August salary for instance, they will pay it by 15 of September and subsequently like that, infact some people are just naturally wicked in this country honestly!

Asin ehn! He thinks it's that easy.
well I believe we all know that there is nothing that is even easy in this country,so that one is just a general problem, bcoz even all these secondary schools that we are talking about,is it easy to get there too? Of course not by considering many factors.

. U are right but where's the lecturing job?
well the only thing I know is that lecturing Job do come out almost every year either from University or nce or poly and they can't ask for more than M.Sc except the University that may say that you should show evidence that you have applied for your P.hD and that even depends on the level you are applying for, and by God grace,if you go for their interviews and perform very well, then you will be taken in.For instance now,we have applications for OAU, Federal University of Dutse and others for different departments, even private universities too and other higher institutions.

. They are even trying compare to what is obtainable along that axis. I can confidently say that they pay around 80k for new entrants with experience
hmmm nawa oo, this country shaa, I think doing M.Sc will pay oo because I believe that if someone should even be in lecturing line rather than this teaching stuff,it will make sense oo

Lols. Firstly, its in ota, Ogun state and not Ikeja. Secondly, they are even amongst the top paying schools in dt axis - which includes covenant day sec sch, faith academy, The bells sec sch etc. I can confidently tell u that no sch in dt axis pays its new entrant 100k smiley
Even in d 'almighty' lekki axis in Lagos, how many of them pay up to/more than 100k?
In some cases where you find them paying a 'huge' sum, say 150k - 200k, know for sure that the man is a 'foreman' ie he'll be given extra responsibilities that will justify the 'huge' pay.
For instance, apart from being a teacher, you'll also be made a hostel master/mistress etc (just saying).
Even in 'highbrow' Ikeja axis, you'll be shocked that very many of them pay their entry level staffs less than 100k.

As teachers, let us try to diversify by creating multiple sources of income for ourselves, or else, waiting for these schools to pay us what we are truly worth is like waiting for Godot.
This is not to castigate many of these schools though, they also have to apply wisdom else they go bankrupt. Don't be carried away by the big structures you see. Unknown to most of us, many of them get loans from banks which they are currently servicing.
hmmmm you are right my brother, may God help us and bless us abundantly oo

60 - 70k
I was even thinking that it is around 100k to 150k just like some schools in ikeja
