The problem is corruption from the top Nigeria government. No policy to help the ordinary citizen. The Indian are here for business and if the business model of outsourcing is best for them then so be it. Really, do you need to be a graduate to work as customer care? This is another problem that shows how watery our educational system has gone. Customer care is a job meant for secondary school certificate / OND holder. When Airtel was for sale, I expect the staff to gather resources and make a bid for the sale. I do sympathies and feel for the affected staff but for real this is only the beginning wait until the real slave master (Chinko) takes over our economy. Nigerians let's begin to think like the Jews "How can I own this company and not how can I be the supervisor". |

Shame on the government of Rivers state and how they are collaborating with those natural born thief called PHCN. The worst hit area in Rivers state is Obiwali Road in Rumuigbo. In the last 6 month the total duration of PHCN power is less than 15 hrs. Sincerely that adds up to about 1 hour /week. Efforts to get the business manager for the area (Rumuodumaya) to give reasons for the abysmal performance yielded no result. The most shocking and unforgiving part of it is the constant bill levied on people. A mass protest will soon take place to get the government and the good people of Rivers to listen to the suffering of those living in that dark region of Port-Harcourt. |

Guys, Let us caution ourselves on some of these news. We are no fools. -What is a power plant? Are they referring to the Turbo machines or the Alternator? -If they are referring to the turbo Machine, then just maybe it is a coal type (but where is the souce of fuel, Oh from Enugu or Orukwpa , sure those are the places with coal in Nigeria) or maybe it is gas type (Is there a gas source Makurdi ? May David Mark has piped a fuel gas line from Southern part of the country to Makurdi). -PHCN over the last 50 years has been using hydro power generation and some coal /gas fuel turbo system. Only recently have states (southern States and Lagos) shown the way to the foolish PHCN that power can be generated via the TURBINE machines. So if they are saying that Power plant is in Makurdi, what kind of power plant are they referring to? Is it hydro generation via the River Benue? May it is One “I better pass my neighbor”. |

It is a clear indication that the Nigeria Govt. lacks the basic business skill and hence no govt. business and venture has ever succeed. What we need is what the government is doing sell off all the business, however have a good price control and regulatory mechanism to be in place to checkmate exploitation (ie if the government cares for it's citizen). |
