@all, What is the true cost for Visa on arrival in Nigeria? I called Nigeria Immigration Service in Abuja. I was told it's $160 per visa and that the approval letter/email costs nothing. But I've seen various visa amount qouted by others and some cost to the approval letter.
Can anyone kindly confirm the experience with visa on arrival at MMA? The amount u pay depends on where u had your baby.I had my baby in Canada and I was told to pay 90dollars. Varying amounts depending on where u had your baby and there's no amount charged for the email . |

OmoBendel24: $190.... The amount you pay depends on what country you had your baby.I had my baby in Canada and I paid 90dollars.For babies born in the U.S., there's are higher as it depends on d country of birth. No amount is required for d email sent.Once u arrive Nigeria, you're required to present d email and den make payment. I hope dis info is useful. Thank you |

Cofinity: For a PR do you get instant healthcare for child delivery considering the fact that you may just be arriving? In which province can this be obtained? Yes you get instant healthcare for child delivery as a PR but in any province aside 3provinces,British Columbia,Toronto and one other province which I can't recall. Am using Manitoba as against Calgary that I initially wanted to use becos I culdnt get someone to stay with in Calgary. |

Travel › Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Koolmum: 6:51pm On Nov 21, 2017 |
Thespecialist: Hello koolmum... I deduce from your post that the reason you are going to Calgary is cos you get instant healthcare for free since you are PR...well just thought you should know that with your PR, you get free healthcare anywhere in Canada. In Toronto, British Columbia and one other province,u dont get t instantly until u must have stayed for 3months in these provinces dats why I hve decided to try other provinces. |

deonu: Hello Everyone;
I am also new in this topic, and i have read the full conversations 54 pages, really useful info, thanks to everyone that shares. I am planning to come to Calgary on mid of January at my 34th week of pregnancy, And hoping to find a doctor and hospital that is affordable, what i found out from this forum about calgary hospitals and fees as below so far. But i wanted to check if anyone has more updated info, or had info about other hospitals or birth centers fees in Calgary.
Also i need info to find a rental studio furnished room, do you have any idea about the websites where i can look for such kind of accomodation?
Appreciate if you share your experiences, and knowledge.
Have a wonderful day to every mama out there.
@ peter lougheed hosp. dr D igras kulach. Baby : 1080 Me: 3900 per night Dr: 1500 epidural I paid: 1250 Hi Deonu, Am thinking if you're not a PR cos dat was d reason I wanted Calgary or any state I can get instant healthcare for free, you can prolly go with Oshawa since its been proven cost effective by 'thespecialist' who gave info abt it and I'm thinking she could also prolly help with an accomodation or someone who knows sthg abt t,that's if you want sthg cost effective. Then for accomodation it's usually difficult to get a rented accommodation for a period of 2-3months except you intend to share,my 2cents tho. |

Thespecialist: For info on renting accommodation, search this website....www.airbnb.ca Narrow your search to Calgary and to the postal code of the clinic and hospital you intend to use (to save you Uber charges). Best of luck But it's usually difficult to get a rented accommodation for a period of 2-3months except she intends to share. My advice is if shes nt a PR cos dat was d reason I wanted Calgary or any state I can get instant healthcare for free, she can go with Oshawa since its been proven cost effective and you 'thespecialist' who gave info abt it could prolly help her with an accomodation,my 2cents tho. |

ooresky: Hello @ urblackpearl. here's a breakdown of the bill I paid at bc. I travelled at 34weeks birthed at 38 weeks plus 1st visit with the family dr-160cad subsequent visits/prenatals-75cad(had 4 visits) drs fee-2000 hospital bills(cuts across all of b.c cos Fraser Health is in charge of health services in b.c) 3530 cad-maternity 1350 cad- natural delivery 1070 cad- newborn fee the bill would have ended here but I got another bill of 1450 cad for routine medical tests they did for the baby (which I was told was free @ the hospital)
they took all my blood tests but was made to do strep b, and another one which cost 100 cad.
baby's pasport -107 cad for express (took 5days)
express mail(Canada post) to nig high commission in Ottawa from b.c-75 cad . very crappy service. didn't get the mail after 6 days & had to pick up d baby's E.T.C @ Canada post sorting ctr @Richmond after repeated calls.
E.T.C- 100cad
This is a rough estimate of the bill. been trying to upload the sheet containing the different charges from Fraser Health but it's not uploading...
I hope this helps you ......All the best in your endeavours Hi sis , Trust youre doin grt.Pls i wuld like to confirm if you didn't have to travel to get d nigerian passport for your baby since d only place it's issued is Ottawa? Will appreciate your response. Thank you |
