Syrian crisis was created by syrians themselves who took advantage of the Arab spring witnessed in other countries, syrians in their large numbers came out to protest against massive corruption,lack of freedom and high unemployment witnessed under syrian president bashar al Asad.Instead of the president addressing some of this issues he choosed to suppress the voices of this protesters using the military and that was what caused the syrian war and yes the Obama administration took sides with the syrian people and I see nothing wrong in that.

For libya it was almost same scenario, although libyan economy is in good shape.

Libyans and syrians created crises for themselves.
