Programming / Wordpress As A Service by koyastack: 11:08am On Aug 24, 2020
WordPress is an open source CMS with vast majority of free/paid "out of the box" plugins and themes that aids "out of the box" development and customisation of websites. WordPress websites has a recurring need for support and maintenance, this fact has given rise in WordPress services offering recurring maintenance and support services which leads to monthly recurring revenue and don't forget WordPress powers over 30% of the websites on the Internet, such a huge market. Let's discover the opportunities in the WordPress support/maintenance business.

Challenges:

Although WordPress is an open source, easy to customise CMS, it comes with its flaws. These flaws require regular maintenance and support which could be stressful for serious website owners to manage.

These serious business owners usually don't have time to manage and tackle issues such as spam hacks, errors and mundane tasks such as plugin and theme updates, security checks and website backups.

While running their business, serious website owners might require CSS tweaks, new page design and might not have the required skill set to handle these tasks. They need a consistent helping hand.

  Solution:

Create  WordPress support services/team that has the expertise and Technical Knowledge to handle all WordPress tasks in 24hours or more depending on the complexity of the task.

These WordPress support and maintenance services help reduce workload for serious website owners so they (serious website owners) can focus on more important things.

⛹️‍♂️  Performers:

Gidistack

Ripplepop

WPbuffs

 Projections:

WordPress support services will focus on a particular niche and add more services to serve that niche.

More digital agencies will partner with Whitelabel WordPress support services and resell WordPress support services to their client as an additional source of revenue for their agency. Example: Agency X can now offer WordPress support to it's client without having any in-house WordPress developer by simply reselling Gidistack's WordPress support plans.

 Market chances:

Target a niche: Find out who is your target customer. Are you targeting agencies as a Whitelabel partner? Are you targeting professionals such as dentists and lawyers? Be specific who you're targeting. Write it down.

A little advice: Target businesses whose “website IS the business” itself and not just a marketing channel for the business. Example: LMS, e-commerce/online shops etc.

When you have successfully chosen a niche to target, offer services that will make more money for the businesses in that niche and make WordPress support your add-on service. WordPress support service only is not enough to break through these days. Offer more useful services.

Be specific on what services you are offering to businesses in the niche and be sure there is a demand for the service(s). So are you building and maintaining websites?... Do you offer SEO?... Do you offer FB ads management?... And add WordPress support as part of your service. Something to think about.

Webmasters / Ideas #0005 – Whitelabelling by koyastack: 6:56pm On Aug 10, 2020
 Challenges:
Businesses are looking to diversify their offering and sources of revenue, so launching a new product or service is a no brainier.

…But it may cost time and money recruiting talents, training in-house staffs and setting up the necessary infrastructure to develop a new product and service from scratch.

 Solution:
Instead of going through the stress of hiring, wasting of time and resources, unnecessary trial and errors etc. Businesses can and decided to outsource the work to another company. We refer to this “companies” white label providers.

There are three types of white label providers or white label solutions:

* White-Label Software Provider. Example: Company A, a white label banking software provider sells their banking automation software to company B, a financial institution, to resell. Company B re brands it with their logo, brand name and resells it to their client, company C.

* White-Label Product Provider. Example: Company D, a white label tailoring company manufactures and re-brands socks for company E, Company E repackages the socks and sells to the end user.

* White-Label Services Provider. Example: Company F, a WordPress development service, sells WordPress web design and plugin development services to company G to resell, a digital agency for law firms. Company G then resells the service to law firms in need of new or redesigned websites while Company F designs the website under the guise of Company G.

 Projection:
More hyper niche media companies will sell private labelled products to their audience… Tasty a buzzfeed publication currently does this.
Goods delivery companies will develop and launch a network of Whitelabel providers for specific niches they deliver more goods.
Companies will be more open with hiring whitelabel services and letting their clients know about the process.

 Market chances:
*Make sure your Whitelabel products or services are low cost and affordable so your resellers can resell at competitive price points
* Achieving success as a Whitelabel provider is when your reseller make lot of sales reselling your product and service. Regularly reach out to them to share new ideas and tools to achieve profitability faster.
* Build your service around a big software or platform, productize it before you Whitelabel it. Example: Website development service for digital agencies targeting attorneys using WordPress.

Webmasters / Ideas #0005 — Instagram Shops by koyastack: 5:28am On Jul 29, 2020
Hey there

Instagram, Facebook’s photo-sharing network has launched Instagram shop in the explore tab of it’s US app and will soon launch in the rest of the world.

Instagram shop is a major revamp of its shopping feature called ‘Shop’. Shop allows any business to setup a free store front on their Instagram page. Where are the opportunities for Instagram sellers?

# Problem

It hasn’t been seamless for buyers to discover cool products from their favorite brands on Instagram.

# Solution

The beauty of “Instagram shop” is that it offers users a personalized recommendation and suggestions on things to buy and products can be purchased seamlessly within the app.

Instagram shop has been described as a place to browse products from favorite brands and influencers. Collections will be curated by Instagram’s own @shop account.

# Players

* Instagram.com
* Instagram.com/shop/

# Predictions

* The Instagram shops feature will launch in Africa in the coming weeks.

* Merchants that prepare for this launch will see an increase in sales spike after Instagram shop launches in Africa.

* Merchants will recruit *niche* micro and macro influencers on Instagram. They are more effective and affordable than popular Instagram influencers.

* Individual sellers will invest in their own personal brand on Instagram.

# Ideas and Opportunities

* Instagram shop is trending in the US for it’s seamless discovery of products from users favourite brands and influencers…

* The keyword here is “favourite brands“. To thrive in Instagram’s new shopping product you need to be amongst the favourite brands in your niche and the way to be the favorite is to build an audience

* This is/will be the best time for merchants without an audience to invest in building their audience and merchants with an already existing audience to invest in establishing better relationships and credibility with their audience.

* Building an audience will help your business standout in the marketplace.

* We recommend two ways to build an audience on Instagram:

1. Create compelling, relevant and valuable posts then “promote your post“.
2. Recruit micro and macro Influencers to share your products to their fans.

1. Promote your post

* Click on the “promote” button below your post

Programming / #ideas 0004 - Virtual "Administrative" assistance Service For Small Businesses by koyastack: 8:21am On Jul 20, 2020
 Problem
#Small business owners in Nigeria and abroad have to focus on making their business successful and most times can not afford the salary of a full - time staff to handle incoming calls, emails and communication in general.

#Working professionals with a side hustle that involves handling of calls and emails often struggle with balancing the demands of their full time job with the demands of their side business.

 Solution
#People with Administrative skills(also known as Secretaries in Nigeria) offer a packaged plan that aims to help small business owners handle their everyday communication with clients virtually. Now business owners can fully focus on building their business

#The administrative service has become mainly remote (work from home, office or any part of the world), ensuring small businesses get the full benefits of a full time administrative assistant while saving money.

 Opportunity and ideas

1Productize:

#Packaging your service into a product with specific results/outcome for a fixed fee (hourly/weekly/monthly/yearly)  should be implemented to help you offer the service profitably and make it affordable for small business owners.

#The service(s) and outcome should be specified to ensure the business owners know what they are paying for. For example, if you are offering an administrative service that helps online coaches answer emails alone and not phone calls it should be specified on your website or social media page.

2 Offer it globally:

#There is a high demand for the best and affordable virtual assistant around the world as long as you can work hard

 Predictions
# The increase in job layoffs in both big and small businesses due to corona virus has sadly shown that most job positions can be handled by one person(even virtually) or software, this trend will continue to exist and people who have established themselves as multi-skilled and hard working virtual administrative assistants will remain relevant.

All these forex trading, digital marketing, bitcoin trading, click to earn and fivver marketing and domain name marketing cannot sustain a young man that is trying to find a skill to survive. He need such down to earth skills as generator repair,phone/laptop repaair,automobile/house electricals, house building/bricklaying,just to mention but a few.

I Agree with you , but understanding "tech" will help him make bigger decisions after he has found a sustainable job(the jobs you listed) ... by "tech" i mean graphic design , programming , copy writing, business card printing service, running social media ads etc .. i will never advocate for things like "forex" or any investment for young guys trying to survive nigeria(they can try and understand it for knowledge sake tho). I believe what you saying is 100% correct , but i still believe in learning basic "tech" skills.

Literature / #ideas 0002 – Offering Blog Writing As A Service For Startups. by koyastack: 1:26am On Jul 18, 2020
 Problem

#Most startups need written content but their founders /executives most likely don’t have time or probably don’t have professional writing skills.

#Startup employees might be familiar with blog writing but when asked to do a complex writing task, things tend to get a little messy or scattered.

#Startups want to rank their website on Google while saving cost in marketing spending – hiring a full-time writer isn’t the best option.

 Solution

#Blog writing services helps startup founders/executive to save time and focus on their day to day running of their business. These content writers write professionally and deliver on time.

#Professional Blog writers usually know how Google algorithms works. They write to help startups rank well and attract more traffic / site visits from Google. Once you start ranking highly for keywords, the magic starts.

 Predictions

#Tech savvy African writers will productize and set pricing packages for their blog writing service.

#Smart writers will see the value of niching down by a specific industry. Example B2B marketing software as a service blog writer – you get the point.

# New writer specific marketplaces will emerge in Africa. This will make it easy for startups to easily filter writers by niche and outsource their writing tasks to writers that perfectly match their needs.

 Ideas and Opportunities

#Start with a specific niche, “startups” as a niche is too broad. There are startups in all industries – pick an industry as your niche. You should pick your niche based on your interest/passion or based on your experience in an industry – something to think about.

#Do your research to know what kinds of startup in your chosen niche need “written” content and find out what kind of written content people in that niche prefer to read – Long form or Short form blog post? LinkedIn posts? Maybe online shop owners wouldn’t want to engage with their customers on LinkedIn.

#Focus on running advertising campaigns on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram or any social network with hyper focused targeting, for example target US based SaaS* startup founders in the agricultural industry. (SaaS* means software as a service).

Programming / #ideas 0003 – Electricity Payment Platform. by koyastack: 4:57am On Jul 17, 2020
 Problem
Electricity has become a part of our everyday lives but

There is a lot of stress involved in queuing for minutes or even hours with the aim of paying for Electricity units from POS Vendors.
Recharging on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) becomes a problem since distribution companies(discos) offices don’t operate on weekends.

 Solution

1 A utility payment platform that allows consumers to seamlessly buy electricity and recharge their prepaid and postpaid meter online using their credit/debit cards, USSD and bank transfers in 5mins or less.

2 These platforms are easily accessible on the web (desktop and mobile) and mobile apps. Everything the user needs to buy electricity are:

*An internet enabled desktop/laptop and smartphone

*Strong internet connection using mobile data or Wi-Fi

*Prepaid meter number

*Credit /debit card or bank account details for money transfers

 Predictions

1 The real winners in the electricity payments will be startups that innovate around building trust, fast and convenient service delivery; startups that will heavily invest in world-class customer service and pay attention to user feedback.

2 The fact that paying for your electricity bill is a huge necessity for the average Nigerian, this will lead to more companies and resellers developing web applications and trying to satisfy the huge demand of prepaid users.

Webmasters / #ideas 0001 – Design Service For Small Digital Agencies by koyastack: 4:47am On Jul 17, 2020
Problem
Most small digital agencies don’t have a world class and professional in-house designer – it is cost effective.

 Solution
A done for you design service that assigns world class and full time African designers to small agencies in Africa and abroad at an affordable flat monthly rate. Small agencies will enjoy the full benefits of having a full time designer while saving cost.

 Predictions

1 More African designers will begin to productize their skills and apply for design task abroad.

2 Marketplaces specifically for small agencies to hire African designers will emerge.

3 Only African designers focused on niche small agencies will win.

 Ideas and Opportunities
1 Start by choosing your core customers and be very specific, “agencies” is too broad. “design agencies” is too broad. Choose one kind of agency and country for a start, example: marketing agencies for law firms based in Lagos.

2 Affordability is very important, so your service should be affordable for small agencies than hiring a full time in-house designer. Small agencies save cost, save time and maximize profit when outsourcing their client’s design to you.

3 Explain how your design service helps small agencies reduce cost, scale quickly and focus more on their core offer – helping their clients grow. Your landing page should tell your story and showcase the quality of your design.
