Pls, what are the advantages and disadvantages of being a class rep in a university/polytechnic/COE ? PROS 1) You develope leadership and management skills: Beign a clas rep involves alot of responsibilities, You're charged with the onus of ensuring assignments are submitted, providing CA list, fixing project works and all. These in turn helps to develope your leadership qualities.. In a department, u can have students that can call you all sort of names if they get to knw any of their important assignments go missing, you learn to be calm, and work under pressure. 2) You become an acountant by force: Yes, very true, you will be in charge of students money running into hundreds of thousands, especially when there's an excursion coming up and about 100 students are to pay N4000 each to you.. You become cautious when handling money because you dont want your HOD and students to deal with you if a kobo gets missing. 3) You earn trust and respect: a very sensitive position, and people cant just help but to trust you with thier 6 credit unit assignments and projects. You also earn respect frm fellow students and lower students. 4) You learn to become a great multitasker: Is it to arrange for an impromptu meeting or to provide reliable information to your department, its you.. You also strive to be at the top of your class in academics, you're representing your class, you have to knw your onions when it comes to academics. CONS 1) Its stressful: The stress can gradually take a toll on you.. especially when your department is large, and your assistant class rep is not functioning. the larger your department, the more the stress.. And if you cant handle it properly, your grades will feel the heat. 2) You miss important classes: You are always running around, while classes are going on, believe you me, if you miss a test, no one will say "come and re-write the test because you're the class rep" 3) You will be at the receiving end of insults and hate: get ready to receive many insults frm fellow students. This one is inevitable. Or is it when your fellow course mate is contesting for a position in the SUG and you dont support his campaign. If he looses, he will come for your head.. |
IamLukas:Hmm very correct, it has to be june. Uniben always do their Post utme before/during their 2nd semester exam so that admitted students can resume 2months after. So frm what i saw on the internet, for the 2014/2015 session, their 2nd semester lecture ended 24th of august 2015, and their exams started 31st of august 2015. but it was not until 18th of september 2015 all faculties finished their exams. (post utme last yr was between 17th of august-2nd of september 2015), admitted students came into residence october 12th 2015, first semester started Nov 2015.. Now fast forward till now, for the 2015/2016 session, their 2nd semester lecture will end June 17th 2016, and their exams will start the following week. So this means our post utme is going to be June.. |
Geofavor:Lol, exactly.. Uniben sef, they'll set hard questions and put the answer straight in the option, then they'll also set simple questions, but u will av to think hard to pick the right option cos wat u will see in the options will just be so similar, Infact it will make u question ur level of preparation. Anyway we'll survive. So ensure u buy quintessence, they really did well in explaining the answers. |
Geofavor:frm wat i've heard and confirmed, Their CBT is exactly like their PPT.. Which r jamb like questions, but usually a lil technical (They love putting very very similar answers as options, Someone that didn't study hard/smart might just pick an option thinking its the right one, whereas, its the wrong one. Uniben no go kill person) |
victorirowa1:This was the question An aluminium rod of length 1.8m at 10degree celsius is heated to produce a difference in length of 0.007m. Calc d temp to which it is heated. (Linear exp of aluminium = 2.3x10raise to power -5) Use this parameters. L1= 1.8m 01= 10degree celsius L2= 1.8+0.007= 1.807 02= ? Using the formular Linear exp =L2-L1/L1(02-02) After solving and finding 02, You'd get temperature 2(02) as 179 degree celsius |
Rexyblaze:Hmm, i dnt knw. But see if u can download it. |
ZaraTasha:hw can there be different questions? She used Quintessence. |
Geofavor:Ur level of preparation will determine the difficulty.. But if u take a look at the 2014 past question, u'd see very short calculations, that'll require just one line formulars. (im talking of life sciencet though) |
Geofavor:2015 isn't available cos it was CBT. Jamb is CBT, yet they set questions far as 2002 when they were still on PPT... So it really doesn't matter... They programme questions, so if they(uniben) want to repeat questions, it doesn't mean they must repeat only the CBT past questions.. Thats nt hw it works bro... They programme questions frm waec, jamb and their own past questions.. BTW, my frnd who wrote p-ume last yr(CBT) said they repeated many questions frm PPT.. CBT questions r set the same way/pattern PPT questions r set.. No special difference. |
Geofavor:N600.. (QUINTESSENCE is the name) |
Geofavor:The ones sold at the gate is like a mini textbook, (2005-2014) with well detailed answers... The questions are answered like lamlard/explicit series style. |
victorirowa1:They seldom set current affairs, around 3-4 questions. |
For the Likely Current affair questions, we can just glance through CIVIC EDUCATION waec 2016 questions.. Some past current affair questions in uniben post utme r exactly the same question in 2016 waec civic questions.. |
Hello guys, pls let us ensure we study WAEC 2016 questions along side our materials.. Currently with waec 2016 phy questions, and the questions seems tight. UNIBEN are also known for lifting waec questions. |
movicy:You spoke my mind bro... Just Imagine, studying Agric as a course with a very gud result, u can imagine whats achievable... U can either branch into the cooperate world (ministry of agric, consultancy, managing large farms, food production, chai.... or just delve into farming straight up, the opportunities r just too much) |
DOUBLEWAHALA:A very serious minded Agripreneur will be able to start small and grow big... U dnt need millions to start small.. I started my first poultry business at 18 with a capital of N16K(bought 30 birds). So Agric is a yes ye yes for me... When my frnd went to college of agriculture, alot of ppl laughed at him, but he graduated, and he was offered little capital to start up, and he's doing fine now! |
OP, tell them oo... #Team Agric... |
victorirowa1:when u get to maingate, head towards the bus park then at your 3' o clock, u should see where they sell it, alot of stores/shops r there.. Better still, u can ask any student u see there, they'll direct u to the place. |
KyleBrry:myschool.com |
KyleBrry:If u really NEED the past question, u'd come down to benin to buy it, or have someone that is already in benin buy it and see if the person is willing to come to where u r to give u.. Other option is to just get it frm myschool. I prefer u do the former becos that of myschool might nt av all the years complete. |
mcjeezy:Use the same text u used for ur jamb. |
CaptainECole:You can use ur GCE. O'level requirements for All engineering courses are Maths, Eng, Phy, Chem and any other subject. (You actually dont need Biology) |
victorirowa1:Thanks, Duly noted. btw, P-ume questions r more difficult. Especially when the university are out to set NEW questions entrirely.. |
IamLukas:Thanks boss. #Noted. |
victorirowa1:coming soon.. |
Guys, pls i need ur help on how to effectively study with past questions? In my jamb i barely used PQ for phy and chem, learnt my lessons, and one thing i also noticed in my jamb is, that.. It was one thing to recognize that the questions they set were frm my past question, and it was another thing to remember the answers to the questions. who encountered this? So guys, hw r u getting the best frm ur Past Question? Pls someone should endorse/discard this method. Read the phy text once, close it, then go to each yr of the PQ and search for ONLY the phy questions, answering them in the process. The ones that r difficut, note them, go back to d textbook, locate the topic and read it again, then go back to answer it.. eg (go to 2005, search for all d phy questions and answer them, then repeat for 2006-2014, taking into cognizance the difficult questions.) cc Iamlukas Geofavour victorirowa1 et all.. |
victorirowa1:Hmm.. Maybe cos i hear ppl always say "hey u're looking 16" thats why i thought maybe "look should go with age" lol |
IamLukas:all right boss... |

Pprovost:1 C. (Clergy is like a collective noun which is plural but it doesn't take 's' at the end, so it will attract a plural verb "pray" ![]() 2 B (many a.... will always attract a singular verb) 3 C (This is a parenthetic sentence, hence We r only interested in the first subject (the man) which is singular, and will attract a singular verb. 4 B 5 C ( a reported speech) |
victorirowa1:You could've been able to fight for medicine with ur score na.. What if u end up scoring 85 in this p-utme? u'll never be able to forgive urself.. Its all gud sha. |
