Contacting only those that qualifies personally is the decorum. I sent u message on whatsapp (imasue), let's continue our chat there or through email pls

I think it is for members that have registered before on no-scholarship status (attending independently). If u choose the scholarship during ur registration, dats all.
But I was sent an acceptance letter to attend as an independent delegate, it read....
To whom it may concern,
This letter confirms that (name) from (country), has been
selected as a
suitable representative of his/her country and generation
for the One Young
World Summit 2016 in Ottawa, Canada, 28 September - 1
October.
But I don't think I will be going anyway.. Canada visa takes time to process, and there's no way I can pay that delegate fee without funding..

Thank you for your application to attend the One Young

We have considered your profile for Scholarship selection,
but I am sorry
to inform you that you have not been selected to receive a
Scholarship. We
have received an overwhelming number of applications for
a very limited
number of Scholarship places, so we have had to turn
away many strong
candidates like yourself.

They couldn't find your college?
Do you mean your secondary school?
If yes, there's a general code you put for schools that can't be found. I cant remember it.
If the school your applying to, download the college board pdf with the code of all universities and search using the state of the school.
Hope this helps.

ur 1-20 and ur passport should suffice, according to the VO's on here, they hardly look at documents, you just have to prove to them that u are a credible and a qualified student...

While studying ..i dont really know except getting GA or some form of assistance or oncampus jobs... other forms of making money might be there but thats d way i know

After studying. ... so many options for this depending on your area of interest. IT Skills and healthcare for sure but then i dont know how uptodate the IT will be in Naija but i guess at least having d foundation wont be bad..outside of IT and health care so many , like for example if u were a female knowing how to make hair wont be bad because its expensive to braid hair ....or maybe even sewing. If u are in a high naija population city. U fit dey sew cloth for owanbe and if sown abroad labour is not cheap or taking pictures in owanbe party or even Dj or MC on d side ...but really depends on if u are in a high naija city
noted ma.. Thank you.

Hello for those that are planning on transferring immediately to community college upon arrival in the US with the 1-20 of a university because of funds, it is very important if possible, have prior knowledge on the transfer policy of the university u're transferring from. Most universities require that u complete at least a semester with them before they can release ur SEVIS record to the school u want to transfer to, and this means u have to pay the semester tuition which can still be expensive.. Be wary of these schools, because if you try to force a transfer even if u are admissible to another university, ur SEVIS record can be terminated by the uni u are trying to transfer from, and this means falling out of status, and complications can further arise if the USCIS deny ur reinstatement appeal. cases are rare, but not alein...
So when doing a transfer, have the cooperation of the DSO's of both schools for a smooth process. Or prior research about the school policy on transfer would be very helpful, difficult, but possible to get such information. Or better still, have usable funds for up to a semester.

Forget those people, go to college board website and register the test yourself with paypal or your naira debit card, but the exchange might not be $350 since its not stable but after making the payment you will know how much your bank charged you.

Also you dont need to go through them before writing the exam in their centre, don't let them deceive you..

It is possible to do it online yourself now and not like before because registration method has changed..
baba, thank you, duly noted... I'm sure many will learn from this..

Hello please I need help. I went to an approved testing centre(Mikon institute in Benin) to make inquiries about SAT registration, and I was told that the registration plus study materials plus tutorials is N105k.. I shock.. i simply told them to give me the price for just the registration, i was told N55,500.I tried to tell them that the reg fee on the college board website is $45 without eassy+$35 add ons for non US residents, bringing the total cost for registration to $80 which is N28k In naira (N350/$), I even asked them if I can just register by myself online and choose their institute as my testing centre(it's the only approved centre in Benin) but they told me that it's not possible. That I must go through them. please i'll appreciate advice thanks.

Ludicrous. First, how did you access all my comments in just a few minutes?

How did your deduce that I am a sybarite by calling me a Hedonist? do you know if I am ascetic or neutral in nature?

Seems your inference and cognitive faculty needs an apace overhauling.

It is still the same syllabus either old or new SAT.

College board just redefined the test, before applicants register and the test officially comprises 3 sections (essay, critical reading and mathematics) but now applicant register and the test officially comprises 2 sections (critical reading and mathematics) while essay is optional and when applicant pick essay applicant will pay for it.

The only difference I noticed few days ago was that college board didn't make eassy section compulsory for the new SAT, it is the applicant that will personally request for the essay section during registration and then pay for it and which makes it higher than the new SAT

Another good news I discovered there is that applicant can register for this new SAT by themselves without going through Gieva anymore..
and there are no penalties or mark deductions for wrong answers in the new SAT.

Placement test should be in both maths and English and the questions are almost the same syllabus as high school and SAT test which involves algebra, arithmetic, etc. just like what we called post utme here in Nigeria
true, i've searched online for the new sat material, but couldn't find any, just the detailed syllable from the college board and some practice tests. I may use my secondary maths text to prepare for the math section, and the TOEFL materials you sent me to prepare for the English section.

If you can study alone with the text book then there is no need to attend tutorial.
