This man should contest for president of Ijaw nation. He is not qualify to rule Nigeria

Some Nigerians are very funny, just a simple security measure to check the activities of boko haram has become a problem. There is nothing wrong in issuing ID cards to northerners in the south East or any other part of the south. I urge every other state in the south to provide ID card for northerners in their area. If northerners feel that we pose a risk to their area, they can as well produce ID card for us. They should probably make their registration online let me register. Whenever I enter into their state, the government should be aware that I am there. Taking any measure to ensure a tight security in the south -south or south east is in the best interest of the north. 100 bombs may go off in the north and it will be a normal thing but an explosion in the south south or south east may lead to disintegration of this country. Those ACF people threatening Igbo investment are illiterates. If you destroy Igbo investment in the north, you destroy the economy of the north. The consequence is that all oil blocks and investment belonging to northerners in the south will be seized to compensate Igbo and the north will go back to stone age. If they doubt, they are at liberty to start the destruction. Although our state government has deported most of them from our area , we are still going to press the governor for the production of ID cards for the few who are doing legitimate business in Delta State.

@blink, go tell your Ijaw president to go and rent American soldiers to come and kill Itsekiri people when oil facilities are finally destroyed . Note that all the major oil wells in Delta State and oil facilities are in Itsekiri communities. We cannot sacrifices our brothers because we want oil to flow and rake in dollars into the pockets of greedy politicians

Warri North crisis: Itsekiri communities give govt 30-day ultimatum on killers

SAPELE— SEVEN Itsekiri communities affected in the July 2, 2013  unprovoked attack and arson by a band of Ijaw youths in Delta State, have given the Federal, Delta State and Warri North Local Governments a 30-day ultimatum to fish out the criminals or they would carry out reprisal on Ijaw suburbs in the area.

The seven Olero satellite communities at an emergency meeting in Sapele to deliberate on the mayhem unleashed on them by an Ijaw militia, Egbema Radical Group, ERG, further threatened to blow up oil installations in Niger Delta region, including the Chevron Nigeria Limited manifold in Olero creek if their ultimatum was not heeded.

They said that the killing no fewer than 12 Itsekiri and burning of seven communities should not be taken as a trivial matter.

The communities also requested the council, state  and Federal Governments to take steps to rehabilitate displaced persons in the affected villages and rebuild their burnt houses without further delay, if government wants peace in the region.

Representatives of the affected villages: Mr. Orighomisan Omatsuli (Jakpa Community); Mr. Augustine Dorsu,  Aja-Amitan community; Mr. Tony Oweghoro, Ebrohimi community; Mr. Taye  Olekowe,  Gbokoda community; Mr. Godfrey Ofeyinor,  Tebu community; Mr. Augustine Fuludu  Obaghoro community; Mr. David Akpere, Udo community and chairman, Olero satellite communities, Mr. Victor Awowo told Vanguard that they were ready for a showdown with the Ijaw militants.

They added that relief materials should be sent by the different tiers of government  to the displaced people without further delay.

The communities accused Joint military Task Force,  JTF, Operation Pulo  shield of  being insensitive, callous and negligent to the plight of Itsekiri people, who were killed during the crisis and insisted that the JTF men stationed in Olero creek and Chevron manifold facility, could have  averted  the carnage, if they wanted.

The people also condemned the attitude of the soldiers on duty around the Ajide Lagos Junction, where JTF has a house boat and two gun boats, saying “these soldiers would have averted the killing of five people in Eghoro community, which is just about 40 yards away from where the soldiers‘ two gun boats were stationed.

“It  is the usual attitude of the soldiers to resume duty at the Olero creek Chevron manifold as well as the Lagos Ajide Junction every 5pm and close by 6am the following day, but on the day of the killings,  the soldiers resumed much later and closed much earlier, thus not having the opportunity to avert the mayhem.

“We have no other option than to take laws into our hands with actions of several and mightier consequences on oil installations that will attract attention of the three tiers of government if our demands are not met.”

It is easier to recognize " allege loyalty" to achieve personal gains for personal interest. Those creating problems with the name of goodluck in rivers state are self centered. The governors voted for him in the NGF election and they have the right to pay him a solidarity visit. They are by their action making Jonathan's government ungovernable not Amaechi. Rivers is a subset of Nigeria and Jonathan is the president. They are not helping Jonathan at all . All the gains of the president after the Declearation of the state of EMMERGENCY in the north have been eroded by this show of shame. The visit of northern governor has not changed our resolve to vote for Mr.President. Over heating the polity at this stage is only exposing the weakness of Mr. President and attracting sympathy for the opposition. This is a clarion call to Mr. President to call his self centered men to order before they plung this country into chaos that will make the south south to lose this opportunity that God gave to us on a platter of gold

The only good thing we learnt from the crises is that a return of fire for fire brings absolute peace. That is what we did to stop the crises. Their leaders have said they are criminals and we are watching the situation. Any single gun shot from the Ijaw axis again will lead to a conflagration of unimaginable proportion . If you doubt this a trial will convince you . As I speak to you the youths are still mounting pressure on the army to leave the water ways for one week. Let us engage each other. You don't go to villages where old women reside to attack them and claim you are a warrior. Engage the youths in a battle field let us test our military capabilities

Note that the population of Itsekiri people is over 1.2 million which is more than the population of Taliban in Afghanistan

We believe in the rule of law, though the world is unanimous on the fact that "justice" is blind. The Itsekiri nation constituted by people at home and in diaspora also appreciate that the Itsekiri people are not oblivious of the fact that that some of its self-annointed leaders, specifically those who have arrogated the communal power embedded in community oil leadership of Warri North LGA to themselves, are mindlessly corrupt, consequently causing their action and or inactions to continously endanger the lives of our innocent people.
Be this ugly, anti-democratic and socially repugnant trend as it may, it is CIG's belief that the Itsekiri nation is very capable of handling its defaulting indigenes and handing them to the appropriate authorities when they are finally apprehended. This is one pursuit we must accomplish now or at the expiration of their appointment in government. However, that does not mean that they no longer belong to us as a people, it is only as a punitive step to serve as deterent to economic or power drunk Itsekiris.
It is against the background of unprovoked attacked of our communities in Warri North LGA that CIG hereby state without fear of contradiction that:
1. Our organization is not worried about the expansionsit tendencies of our Ijaw neighbours, that is if they confine their mission within the boundaries of the Ijaw territories.
2. it must be understood that any attempt by the Ijaws to further provoke the Itsekiris, whether in Warri North, South West and Warri South will have multiple retaliatory-response from the Itsekiris, and as usual both tribe will display their capacity and propensity for violence that will also distabilize the Niger Delta and cause unimaginable mayhem within Delta State in particular and Nigeria as a nation. This is not a promise, but an action that Itsekiris are prepared for and are waiting to embark on. May God forgive those innocent citizens of Delta State who may regret its impact. 3. The President is an Ijaw man from Bayelsa state, and this issue, besides the fact that he is the C in C of the federal Republic of Nigerian, falls within his ethnic responsibility to curb before it is turned into full scale war.
4. We have intelligence reports of the Ijaws plan to coerce, blackmail, conscript and enlist the support and collaboration of other law abiding and uninterested Ijaw chiefdoms and kingdoms within and outside Delta state in pursuit of righting an imaginary belief for an "age long marginalization," before their "son and incumbent president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan leaves office or contest the 2015 presidential election." Though Itsekiris are familiar with such absurdities, We are contrained to remind every Ijaw man, woman or child that it would be counter productive to harbour such evil and malicious thoughts against the Itsekiri people. Perhaps they would like to ask Honourable James Manager the pact he had with the Itsekiri political class proir to the 2011 general elections. No one Niger Delta ethnic nation can succeed without the spport of the others.
We have spoken as usual, and shall continue to unveil every negative plan against the society, only this time shall CIG,in accordance with its objectives match every word with decisive action to clear the doubt of the "doubting thomases".
Be it known that the Ijaws are further compounding the political web around the potential success of their own son and incumbent president, they may have themselves to blame on the short or long run. Any attempted trial to attack Itsekiris will convince its perpetrators, but many people will not live to tell the tale!
