paramakina202:Manji nweru ikne buru nwene. Marnu Isoma (Igbo) Bula Iwhurhohna nu ahn Iwhurhohna bula Isoma. Chibo |
owobokiri:If your aim is not to continue from where your forebears stopped you would have campaigned for a Union of Igbos and Igboid People and not to tell us that Ikwerre is Igbo. |
paramakina202:Mbum Nwo Iwhurhohna. Mbiam rukwo. |
paramakina202:Isoma la gweru ngadai biko. |
Dalohad:Must I be you if I speak similar language with you? You can't you be Ikwerre? This is the argument that made your forebears to nearly exterminate us during the war. My great grandfather told my grand father who he was and this oral history continued till date. The taboo associated with anything Igbo in Ikwerre land is too high to appease. For us we see isomas as slaves. Calling Ikwerres Isoma we see it that you are indirectly calling us slaves. This is the particular reason an Ikwerre man with no dent will never accept to be Igbo. |
owobokiri:Anyone who says this is who they are you have no right to Question them neither do you have the right to claim a territory that has nothing to do with yours just because Aworis accepted to be Yorubas. Bros Igbo killed us in thousand during the war because they knew we are not Igbo. Make una leave Ikwerre alone. Even if they agreed to be Igbos don't accept them. The disdain the ikwerres have where the Igbos are is something out of this world. |
paramakina202:If we speak the same language please interpret this line below. Iyo vovu ivuru. Iyo vu, Ivoma. Mvurum ovu. Nigerians are waiting to hear from you. People of Old eastern Nigeria practice almost similar culture. And who told you what you practised as culture wasn't borrowed from the ikwerres? Remember you people are barbaric in nature as observed by Chinua Achebe in his Things Fall Apart. |
paramakina202:Until you realise that what you speak as language wasn't invented by u. Malaysia and Indonesia speak similar language but different people. Spain and Portugal share a lot of words in common but different people. Ukraine and Poland do the same. Itsekiri and Yorubas. Urhobo and Isoko and many others. Severally Ikwerres have rejected you people yet you won't let them be. There is what is called the phenomenon of mutual intelligibility of languages. |
paramakina202:There is a man named Rotimi Amaechi. He is not Yoruba. |
powerkey:Stop calling Ikwerre slaves. |
AI replied: The Ikwerre people are a distinct ethnic group in Nigeria, primarily located in Rivers State. While they share some cultural and linguistic similarities with the Igbo people, they are generally considered a separate group with their own unique identity and traditions. There is some debate about the exact relationship between the Ikwerre and Igbo, with some arguing for a closer connection and others emphasizing their distinctness. However, the prevailing view is that the Ikwerre are a separate ethnic group with their own distinct identity. |

And you listened to foreign blueprint to remove subsidy? African leaders only listen to what will swell their pockets. |
People will be thinking they are Igbos but they are not. They are people answering Igbo names and using it to commit crimes. |
RedboneSmith:Igbos are not Africans that is why they do jump and do shoulder dance. |
Hisroyalbadmeat:They hate Ikwerre people but like Port Harcourt. |
Macphenson:But Wike completed it. This is what Obi CA never do. |
The worst mistake Nigerians ever made was allowing Buhari to oversee the affairs of this country for a minute. |
Bede2u:We know you people like Port Harcourt more than Ikwerre people. But you see ask anyone of you who live among us the feelings an average Ikwerre man has for you people. Thanks |
Option105:I am yet to hear Amaechi say he is Igbo. He only talked about the similarity between the Ikwerres and Igbos. That Igbos eat garri three times a day and Ikwerres eat garri three times a day. With this analogy I am convinced that an Ogoni man is also Igbo because he eats garri three times a day. |
powerkey:In Ikwerre land Isoma means mannerless and barbaric people. I have confirmed it with you. |
Ikwerres have a very rich culture and very welcoming and friendly. Most people including the Igbos who have lived among them would always want to identity with them. Have you seen the Ikwerre waist dance before? Most Igbos have learnt it. In years to come they will claim Ikwerre learnt from them. Ikwerres are hospitable, lively and welcoming. Igbos just want the identify with this rich culture. Enjoy the dance steps and gyration as they call it. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/19rgpj4pjc/ https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1PMq7xS3fW/ |
paramakina202:This Igbo way of reasoning is the lowest of all people. How did you know a language I speak is Igbo? One day Igbo will tell Nigeria they own the moon. Igbos have no culture or language. Almost everything about them they copied. They are wanderers who finally got settled in Nigeria. This is why almost all tribes around them great or small preyed on them for slaves. |
PRESS STATEMENT CONCERNED EMI NENT ENEKA NATIVES INSIST THAT ENEKA IS NO IGBO ENCLAVE IN RIVERS STATE.* OPENING: Receive this Statement as a serious reaction to recent misleading, untrue and mendacious information to members of the public by certain persons in Eneka who in their self-seeking bid for validation as Igbos had made tendentious statement in the media conveying the impression that Eneka people of Apara Kingdom are Igbos. Consequently the Concerned Eminent Eneka Indigenes at home and abroad here and now express our displeasure with the current unguarded utterances and acts of lawlessness being endorsed by Eneka main Chief and others following the personal resolve of our Distinguished Senator John Azuta Mbata's exercise of his franchise to be a member of Ohaneze Ndigbo last month. Quite appalling is that a Community High Chief who told the Ogbakor Ikwerre official delegation that visited his Home that he's unaware and surprised that one of his Subjects in the person of the Distinguished Senator Mbata had offered himself for the post of President General of Ndigbo, would now turn around to undiscriminatingly assemble a few persons with whom he went with to pay a courtesy call on a Son from the “market,” whom he had denied knowledge of his decision to be the President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo. More disappointing is that our traditional ruler deliberately misinformed the public by claiming that the visit was orchestrated and assented to by Eneka people. This is far from the truth. When will all these double standards end? Eneka people have come a long way and do have lots of responsible indigenous minds than what you are given to see and hear of us. OUR RESPONSE: Be that as it may, we wish to make matters lucid by saying that: 1. We appreciate the genuine concern of Iwhuruohna traditional rulers, the Pan Iwhuruohna youths and Elders and other bodies for sustaining the Peace, Love and Unity our Fathers laboured for and bequeathed to us all. 2. As Iwhuruoha natives of Eneka Clan, we truly feel encouraged by the various responses calling for caution and urging our Son and Brother, Distinguished Senator John Azuta Mbata to recant his current stance in Ohaneze Ndigbo for the good of the age-old valued distinct Identity and freedom of Iwhuruohna ethnic nationality. 3. That as illustrious indigenes of Eneka, we frown at and do hereby disassociate ourselves from the Statement made by the Senator in his Television Spot Interview on Saturday February 1, 2025, that there are different categories of Iwhuruohna, urging those who claim Bini ancestry to 'go to Bini.’ 4. This line of free talk is divisive and capable of evoking all ill wind which could result in Lawlessness. DANGER: 1. Such remark by Senator Mbata does clearly confirm rumors that the Senator's intention is to be the bridge through which the aggrieved expansionist of Ohaneze Ndigbo will walk to actualize their more than 50 years desire to claim Rivers State as "their 6th Igbo State in Nigeria” 2. We here again emphasize that this is the ill-conceived political agenda to forcefully assimilate the Ikwerre, Etche, Ekpeye, Ogba, Ndoni and other ethnic nationalities they unilaterally drafted into their unacceptable Map of Biafra; 3. It is now clearer that the free donation of the highest Office of President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo to an Ikwerre man is for the sole purpose of gaining a re-entry to claim Port Harcourt as Igbo land. Shockingly they now found an Eneka illustrious Son who willingly or otherwise accepted the bait set by Ohaneze Ndigbo by capitulating to the attractions of the overture in promises rejected by other kinsmen who were contacted before the Senator. 4. We, the Eneka people are very unhappy with our paramount Chief Rowland Woko and all those who alongside with him are singing songs of divide and rule in Eneka today - all for the sake of stomach infrastructure. 5. Evident now is that this whole blinding drive is political; as evinced in the Senator's promise of more infrastructural developments to Eneka people and also from remarks made by others who spoke to the Press in the same event, disclosing that very soon intention in the Senator's decision to accept the PG position will become clearer to those who are yet to understand him now. 6. As concerned Eneka Natives, We reiterate the unflagging position of all well-meaning Chiefs, Elders and people of Eneka with the stance of Ogbakor Ikwerre Worldwide in this matter. SECURITY: 1. It is now expedient to call on our dear Executive Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Siminalayi Fubara KSC., GSSRS., all Law enforcement and Security Agents in the State as well as all opinion leaders of the Rivers tribes to rise to our early call to nip this expansionist tendency in the bud right now; this renewed cruise and push with a few individuals working on their behalf might affect the shared peace and unity existing among Rivers tribes as constituted from inception when Rivers State was created. 2. Let it be known that the end of this neo-political moves by the political faction within Ohaneze Ndi Igbo will affect Rivers State greatly if allowed to fester. 3. This re-entry design of a people having more than five decades of grievances against Rivers People, if left unchecked will blow adversely as an ill wind against all tribes including the Ijaws, Ekpeyes, Ogonis, Etches, Ogbas etc. 4. Our rejection of this re-entry into Rivers State of politically motivated Igbo opinion leaders necessitated our standing hand in hand with the Ikwerre ethnic Nationality. It is said that “a stitch in time saves nine.” It is better to fix a problem as soon as it arises to prevent it from becoming a bigger issue. THE END: 1. As Concerned Citizens of Eneka we maintain that Distinguished Senator John Azuta Mbata is on his own and that all resident in Eneka including HRH Chief Rowland Woko should, in the interest of common peace and the valued Unity for which Eneka is known, from making public statements which convey the impression that Eneka is now an enclave of the Ohaneze Ndigbo group in Rivers State. 2. Failure of the High Chief to restrain himself and those with him in their unpopular pursuit, will be taken as calculated offense worth visiting with appropriate Civilized response. 3. A good and contemplative leader avoids all that divides or polarises his people, but rather commits to building a united and prosperous platform for his people. To be forewarned, it is said, is to be forearmed Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Long live the South-South Geopolitical Zone Long live Rivers State. Long live Eli-Nu-Dieli Iwhuruohna Dum. In my culture, one who is guilty first pleads guilty and then ask for forgiveness then those who like him will then add voice to his plea. Nnamdi Kanu has not accepted any wrongdoing how would anyone plead on his behalf? |

RIVERS IJAW PEOPLES CONGRESS CAUTIONS IBOS AGAINST IRREDENTIST AMBITION INTO RIVERS STATE - RIVERS STATE NOT PART OF IGBOLAND We, the Rivers Ijaw Peoples' Congress- the umbrella socio-cultural group of Ijaw people in the eleven Local Government Areas of Rivers State of Nigeria, have followed with keen interest, the recent irredentist posturing of some Pro- Biafra Ibo leaders, who have recklessly and provocatively declared Rivers State as the 6th Igbo State- in furtherance of their illusionary pursuit of a so-called Republic of Biafra. The above declaration which was widely reported in some online media platforms on 12 January, 2025, was attributed to a certain Ohaneze Ndigbo activist, in apparent show of the expansionist ambition of the Ndigbo to extend their suzerainty over Rives State,by claiming Rivers State as the 6th Igbo State! As a people of Ijaw ethnic nationality in Rivers State, among other sister ethnic groups, notably, Ikwerre, Ogoni, Eleme, Engenni, Ogba, and Ekpeye- we unequivocally state, for records purposes- that none of the ethnic groups in Rivers is part of the Ndigbo ethnic nationality; and have never, as a state, collectively, been part of Ohaneze Ndigbo of the Ibo people of South East Nigeria. This is, of course, without prejudice to individual association of certain indigenes of Rivers State with Ohaneze Ndigbo by acquiring personal membership of Ohaneze, in exercise of their Constitutional right to freedom of association. It is both illogical and preposterous to equate such individual membership of Ohaneze with the ethnic identity of the entire Rivers state; and thus foist on the state an Igbo ethnic nationality. We note, with a sense of history, that this is not the first time our Ibo neighbours have sought to expand their ethnic agenda into our territory. This unbridled political adventure dates back to the First Republic when the Ibo took advantage of their dominance of the NCNC to sponsor an Ibo candidate against our more qualified brother of Ikwerre extraction, Chief Nwobidike Nwanodi for election into the Federal House of Representatives; an election which Chief Nwanodi won, as an independent candidate, having abandoned the NCNC- Ibo platform and opted for an independent candidacy. Similarly, as recently as the year, 2000, Ohaneze Ndigbo dragged the Rivers State Government to the Justice Chukwudifu Oputa-led Human Rights Violations Investigation Commission, claiming, inter alia, ownership of Port Harcourt; a provocative claim which they woefully lost. We further recall, in retrospect, that as Ijaw people, our forebears, ably led by the vibrant and courageous nationalist, Chief Dr Harold Dappa-Biriye, OON, of blessed memory- were instrumental to the creation of states on 27 May, 1967, as a strategic way of freeing our people from the Igbo- dominance under the defunct Eastern Region government. In responding to this irresponsible and provocative declaration of our state as the 6th Igbo State- we wholly associate ourselves with the earlier position of our parent body- the Ijaw National Congress (INC) in its response to this egregious act of insult to our collective sensibilities; and caution the Ohaneze leadership and its agents to cease and desist from instigating an ethnic crisis through the attempt to extend its expansionist mission to Rivers State A word, we dare say, is enough for the wise as we trust the wisdom of Ibo elders, with whom we have enjoyed long historical relations as neighbours- to call their children to order. For: Rivers Ijaw People's Congress - RIPCO Senator George Thompson Sekibo, CON, DSSRS, JP Leader Rivers Ijaw Peoples’ Congress Hon. Rowland Sekibo Ph.D, DSSRS. Director General Rivers Ijaw Peoples' Congress Hon. Erastus Awortu Ph.D, DSSRS Secretary Rivers Ijaw Peoples' Congress For and on behalf of the Rivers Ijaw Peoples’ Congress |
XerXers:All Igbos are Isoma. While you have abused the ikwerres why do you so much need them? Bros keep this your slavery identity. Every Ikwerre man sees Igbo as such and over 99.99% of us don't want any association with you people. |
Option105:There is nothing you people can do. We can't by ourselves walk again into slavery that Gowon liberated us. |
