Earth to Echo scribe to write the script for Shazam!
0%
by Matt Rooney | 9 hours ago

Much like GREEN LANTERN news, it would take a Dwayne Johnson-sized behemoth to stop the onslaught of SHAZAM/BLACK ADAM news coming our way. The most recent update was that not only SHAZAM! would be making it onto the screen, but that Adam would also be getting his own movie, making for twice as many muscles we will see on screen. Though nothing else is known about the ADAM solo movie, we now have a bit more new regarding the SHAZAM! flick.
THR ran a piece not too long ago saying that a source told them that EARTH TO ECHO scribe Henry Gayden was penning the script for the movie. Though this was unconfirmed for a short while, the man himself took to Twitter to confirm that he is indeed writing the script for the superhero epic.
@annericelover Confirmed and loving what's to come... smiley
— Henry Gayden (@HenryGayden) January 20, 2017
ECHO came out in 2014 to modest reception and box office, and since then (and before that too, for the most part) Gayden has written, well, nothing.  However he will get to dust off those cobwebs in a big way soon as he begins to bring the larger-than-life hero to the big screen. Earth to Gayden, you just hit the big time!
I haven’t seen ECHO, but I guess it was a relative success making $45 million on a $13 million budget. I’m just curious as to what he’s been up to recently, and what he pitched to DC in order to get the job. It must have been a stellar sell in order to get such a big job, so my attention is a bit more piqued than I expected. I wish all the luck in the world to Gayden, and will send him my most treasured amulet so that he may have a token of my faith. It’s an odd looking rock I found in front of my house. What?
SHAZAM! is set for April 2019.

BREAKING: Dwayne Johnson's BLACK ADAM Will Now Lead His Own Movie! (DCEU)
Jan.19.17 – by Mario-Francisco Robles
Well, I didn't see that coming...

But then again, DCEU, you always manage to find new ways to surprise me, don't you?

Moments ago, The Hollywood Reporter broke the story that Black Adam will now get his own movie. Yup, the same Black Adam that action superstar Dwayne Johnson has been attached to play for years now will now get his own movie, aside from whatever happens with Shazam!

Last week, the internet was abuzz about Shazam! because of an apparent major meeting that took place between Johnson, his producing partners, and the new braintrust over at Warner Bros. that is overseeing the DC Extended Universe. When he walked away all pumped and shared with his fans on social media that the future of the DCEU now looked brighter than ever, everyone instantly assumed that Shazam! would not be gaining some traction and that the movie was going to enter production in the relatively near future.

Turns out everyone was wrong.

While we were all busy coming up with what this Shazam! flick will look like, apparently Johnson and his team pitched a standalone Black Adam movie, and it's now on the way.

There are a couple of other notable details from THR's report:

Production for Black Adam will reportedly run concurrently to production on Shazam!
The film will apparently be produced not by Warner Bros. proper, but rather its little brother, New Line Cinema
My imagination begins to race when I read this kind of stuff, but I'll try to keep my thoughts to myself until I have something more concrete. For now, all I'll say is that #1 sounds like it's part of the WB's old practice for these DC films where they have several scripts at different stages of development by different creative teams all for the same movie, and then eventually pick which one gets made. So, to me, it sounds like they're going to develop both Black Adam and Shazam! side-by-side, but may actually only end up making only one of them.

'Star Wars' Conundrum: Should Disney Move Their 'Young Han Solo' Film To Christmas?
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has sparked a great deal of debate among fans, critics, and audiences. The film broke records with its massive $420 million worldwide opening weekend, the largest ever for a superhero film and fourth-largest global opening of any sort of film in history. Some audiences -- notably, the under-18 crowd and parents, as well as most 25-and-under viewers -- gave it very high scores and are recommending it to family and friends, while overall audience scores averaged out to a "B" at Cinemascore. The critical reviews at Rotten Tomatoes have been highly negative, with a 29% overall score. My own review is very positive, as I loved the film and feel the negative reviews are wildly off-base.

One of the loudest complaints from some critics and fans has been the claim that Zack Snyder hates Superman, and that Batman v Superman proves it. This assertion hinges on such a dramatic misreading of the film, I'm frankly stunned that even some otherwise typically smart and insightful writers have bought into this myth and perpetuated it. So now, I'm going to completely debunk the claim, and explain to you how Batman v Superman in fact makes Superman's goodness and idealism the centerpiece of the story, and how Zack Snyder clearly loves Superman's character and honors him in this film.

Be warned, I'm going to discuss a lot of spoilers in this article, out of necessity. So if you've not seen Batman v Superman yet, read no further -- but go see the film, and then come right back and finish reading!

The gist of the "Zack hates Superman" claim is, Superman is disliked and distrusted by society, is shown to be reckless and ineffective, is too brooding, and is widely mocked throughout the film. Perry White tells Clark Kent, "It's not 1938, apples don't cost a nickel," Batman beats Superman into submission, sneering that Superman's parents probably told him he was sent here for a reason. Superman tells Lois the "S" on his chest was a symbol of hope on his world, but that his world doesn't exist anymore. These, then, are the examples of supposed proof Snyder hates Superman -- the Perry White speech gets the most play when this argument is put forth, because it seems the clearest literal example of the film disparaging Superman's idealism.

And of course, that's precisely what it is, as is Batman's violent attack against the Man of Steel and his little speech to him; as is the world's skepticism in the film, and the anger so many characters feel toward Superman. Yes, those things are all meant to criticize Superman and what he stands for. The trick is, you're supposed to realize they're all wrong, because that's the actual point of the movie -- everyone mocking and criticizing Superman is wrong.

The world is cynical, skeptical, and jaded. War, poverty, violence, hatred -- these are the daily realities for so many people, and even those in positions of so-called power realize how helpless they are to stop most of it. Lex Luthor's remark about a person with knowledge being smart enough to realize they are powerless in the world is a crucial hint into his own psyche and how the scars of this lesson were beaten into him from a young age, for example. He articulates a truth, a knowledge about the powerlessness of mankind in the face of our own destructive impulses, and that we pretend toward power and knowledge to shield ourselves from those realities.

Bruce Wayne knows this as well. His entire arc is that of a man whose life is defined by feeling powerless, beginning as a child watching his parents murdered in the street for no reason at all and growing up to dedicate his life to fighting crime as Batman. He became a gardner, pulling up weeds in a garden already overrun by them, and now as an aging man he faces the harsh truth of his ineffectiveness, of the terrible losses despite his best intentions and best efforts. He has the knowledge to understand now that he's always been powerless, that he never escaped that alley where he watched helplessly as his parents died. That's why he's become cruel, more violent, crossing lines he didn't cross before. The world didn't become better and safer, it just fought back twice as hard to remain corrupt, and so Batman keeps fighting harder in return, even as he feels his battle is hopeless in the end.

And now comes a man from the sky to put a fine point on all of it, a man who can stop suffering and injustice, a man of near limitless power. Superman holds up a mirror to Bruce, to Lex, and to the world, showing us what real power is, and showing us how the application of real power can be in service to absolute good if only we will allow it. But there was no Superman, no absolute good power, to rescue Lex from the abuse and perversions of his father, so why should the world now have a Superman? A good power that failed him, that left him to suffer, and that tries to represent hope in a world Lex sees as hopeless, is not a power he can trust or accept. It makes him all the more aware of his own powerlessness, and to overcome that feeling he will raise himself up like a God and drag the God down to the dirt, destroying the absolute good that Lex believes never existed in the first place.

Bruce meanwhile sees Superman in much the same way as Lex. There was no Superman to save Thomas and Martha Wayne, no Superman to help Batman pull up the weeds overrunning Gotham. Every "good" Bruce saw over the years, every person who supposedly fought for hope and justice, either died or became corrupted, or just gave up. He doesn't believe in absolute good anymore, and so all he can see in Superman is absolute power that cannot be trusted because it exists in a world too cynical and damaged to allow such power to be good. Superman is a symbol of all of Batman's failures, of his greatest fears come to life, and if all good has become corrupted eventually, then this absolute symbol of Batman's helplessness and failure cannot be allowed to exist anymore. Superman will be destroyed, because Batman has become another of the "good" people who couldn't remain good in a world this bad, even if he doesn't (yet) realize he is one of those people he was talking about.

Lex and Bruce represent the world itself, a flawed and distrustful place that feels unworthy of absolute good and so cannot let itself dare to hope such good really exists. Idealism has been replaced with cold disillusionment even among the youth who are far too inexperienced and immature to truly feel as faux-jaded and cynical-chic as they pretend to be. Power always, inevitably becomes corrupted and used to perpetuate inequality, violence, oppression, exploitation, and other ills in our world, we say. So we reject hope, we reject the idea of a common good, because it's not 1938 and apples don't cost a nickel and the "good ol' days" were never good for everybody after all.

BREAKING NEWS ABOUT THE GREEN LANTERN MOVIE!!!

Green Lantern Corps Will be Hal Jordan and John Stewart Lethal Weapon Space Story

In a breaking news announcement, DC Films has confirmed the premise and character plans for its Green Lantern reboot film, Green Lantern Corps.

Fans have been wondering for some time which of the four earth-bound Green Lanterns from DC Comics lore the film will focus on - and now we know. Green Lantern Corps. will focus on Hal Jordan and John Stewart, in what is described as a "Lethal Weapon in space" story premise.

Deadline dropped the exclusive on the film's creative team, which is sure to get DC Comics fans in an uproar (Read why HERE). As for the characters at the center of the film?

Hal Jordan is the most popular and longest-running character in DC Comics Green Latern and Green Latern Corps comics; he was also the featured Lantern in the 2011 Green Lantern movie.

More: Is Ryan Reynolds involved with Green Lantern Corps?

John Stewart is the Green Latern that has had the biggest onscreen impact, as he was the featured Lantern in the 2000s DC Animation Justice League TV series, where he became a big fan-favorite.

The Lethal Weapon comparison (while being awkwardly on-the-nose, racially) is fitting, in this case. Hal Jordan is a 'devil may care' cocky plane pilot, while John Stewart is a meticulous and disciplined Marine. The two of them have had many moments of friction on the  comic book page, and with the right casting, could definitely the type of banter and buddy-cop arc that movie fans love to see.

More proof that Ares could be the big bad in the new Wonder Woman movie
0%3
by Damion Damaske | 8 hours ago

The French film magazine Studio Ciné Live has a new report on the new WONDER WOMAN film, which explicitly claims that Ares will indeed be the big bad. Though the issue isn't out yet, thanks to a translation from the site Les Toiles Heroiques, we have an excerpt from it:
Why did Zeus create the Amazons? Because shaping man in his image made his son Ares, incidentally a god of war, mad with jealousy, he convinces the guys to confront each other. To restore harmony between them, Zeus created the Amazons that Ares reduced to slavery. The Amazons revolt with the help of Zeus, who will die of the hand of his son having had time to find Themyscira, their haven of peace where they will grow Diana. (…) Diana Prince becomes Wonder Woman by helping Steve Trevor and a squad of proud arm-in-law in search of one who wants to wipe humanity off the map with deadly gas.
No matter what, take this with a grain of salt, as at this point it is all still just rumor. However, this isn't the first time the idea of Ares as villain was reported, as our very own Paul Shirey reported this scoop close to a year ago. While things have definitely changed since then - such as WWI being the main story and not just a framing device, and the inclusion of Circe - it seems Ares was in the mix from the get go. Hopefully this pans out though, because I want to see Diana kick mythological ass, not just random German dudes.

Superman isn't dumb, he is still a novic
e and still locked up in his shell. In this current iteration of Superman in the DCEU; he doesn't have enemies yet and he doesn't even know what kryptonite is! In short, he doesn't know what is right or wrong. He is a struggling superhero who is just two years on the job. Right from MOS, Superman's fighting style has been that of a farmer that he is because he isn't trained. Try to watch his fight sequences with Zod and Batman, you'll see he was no match for them. Therefore, this Superman is still far from being a superhero. He is on his learning curve because heroes aren't made in a day like some other universe make us believe.
Well said!
You don't start walking/running from birth! There is something they called "Learning Curve". No one becomes perfect overnight - and that's why I appreciate Zack's CBM works more than his counterparts elsewhere....
He's the first director to give us a perfectly facsimile of what superhero comics will look like in live movie! I can't forget the vibes I got when watching MOS back then 2013 at the cinema (I practically saw it 3times)!!!

I just need to paste this..... A well articulated writing by one who understands what "the haters are really doing to DCEU"

How the clickbait DCEU hatred is actually helping build the fanbase
JANUARY 10, 2017
For more than 10 months now, critics, bloggers and haters have been dragging Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice through the mud. In fact, they talk about how much they hate it more than they talk about how much they like other movies like Captain America: Civil War. The same has been true for Suicide Squad since its theatrical release last August.

In fact, three movies in and an entire cacophony of hatred and snark has clouded the very existence of the DC Extended Universe, with so many calling it an abject failure that needs to be shut down and rebooted immediately to be saved from itself.

Of course, a lot of that hatred could be clickbait driven. After all, the very mention of doom and gloom for the DCEU is enough to get a good argument going among the people on social media. Which brings us to the latest doom and gloom headline for DC's still young cinematic franchise:

That's three different websites posting the same "story," all of them filled with speculation and opinion based on an unconfirmed rumor that naturally no one can completely verify. Coincidentally, this comes the day after a new image from the Justice League movie was released and on the heels of badly misinterpreted and overanalyzed quotes from Ben Affleck about his solo Batman movie that he continues to be questioned about in the midst of promoting his current movie that already exists, Live By Night.

What's hilarious about this "Justice League a Mess" rumor is that the last time I heard a rumor about a production that was predicted to be a failure was this one:

That was last summer after word got out that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was undergoing massive reshoots for a number of reasons. The Internet panicked for a bit, six full months before the movie was even to be released.

Rogue One has been out in theaters since December 16th. Here's the latest update on it's "trouble" and "problems":

Ouch. What a troubled production. I assume Gareth Edwards is disgraced by his near-billion and counting box office total.

Now here we go again with a silly rumor, eleven months away from the November 17 release date of Justice League that is supposed to whip us into a frenzy yet again about the future of the DCEU being in jeopardy. On the one hand, you can see where the bloggers and haters are coming from because the divide between the critics and the audience over BvS and Suicide Squad has made the DCEU an easy target for clickbait.

On the other hand, all of this negative attention is really just helping the DCEU build a fanbase at this point. Whether you like the movies or not, the franchise has made $2.286 billion worldwide over just three movies, averaging $762.3 million in ticket sales per movie. That doesn't happen for movies that no one likes at all. Ask Paul Feig about his Ghostbusters reboot on that one.

Every time one of these negative clickbait stories about the DCEU comes up, it does a few things:

- It keeps the DCEU in constant conversation, giving it free publicity.

- It angers the fans who actually enjoy the DCEU and causes many of them to outwardly defend the movies.

- It makes the friends of those fans curious about how and why this franchise could possibly be as bad as these bloggers are saying it is.

Now, when you are talking about angering a fanbase, remember that this particular fanbase has already spent $2.286 billion at the movie theater alone worldwide to see these movies, and who knows how much they have paid later to own Blu-ray and digital copies for their home theaters and personal use. If these people have already made a sizeable investment in the DCEU and willingly enjoy the product and want more of it, then how exactly do you think they will react to a constant barrage of negative news and rumors being tossed at them?

Well, first they're going to get mad about it and get into arguments that will have Marvel fans and others calling them "toxic" and "DC shills." Then they're going to take action and do what they've been doing in the first place, which is continue to invest in the franchise at the theater when one of its movies comes out. It doesn't matter how much negative noise you toss at many of them, they think the DCEU is getting a raw deal and if the critics and bloggers won't support it, then they will. That reason alone is why Wonder Woman and Justice League, regardless of reviews, are going to make money. The franchise has a fanbase now and fair or not, they are on the defensive. They have been for almost a full year now.

So what exactly is a negative rumor about Justice League being a mess or the Batman solo movie being delayed supposed to do? Is it really going to stop large amounts of people from going to see them? Is it going to somehow hurt WB and DC's bottom line when it comes to the profitability of their franchise? Or is it just another way to get clicks for desperate bloggers who don't know how to write real news when it actually happens?

Whatever the reason is, it's not damaging the DCEU fanbase one bit. If anything, it is making the fanbase stronger and tougher if such a thing is possible for fans of movies. I've mentioned before that the Transformers movies are completely insulated from absolutely scathing critical reviews because each movie has made more money than the last each time they are released and that's an almost $4 billion franchise through four movies.  Imagine if that franchise had more fans of the cartoon on its side. How much more would it make then?

That's the situation the DCEU is in. There are fans of the movies alone and fans like myself who embrace the comics as well, and they have all come together because they feel backed into a critical corner by the haters that tell them constantly how bad their movies are, how dark, dreary and badly miscast they are, and how wrong any of the fans are for actually liking them. They have no fact to base this on either, it's just their opinion, the same as it is a DCEU fan's opinion that the franchise is anything but doomed and shouldn't be changed.

In the unlikely event that right now in January, Justice League is actually "a mess," one would think that eleven months is more than enough time to sort it out and that Ben Affleck wouldn't exactly bolt from his solo Batman movie as a result of it. Speculation is very silly thing to do almost a year away from a movie's release because as Rogue One proved, six months is enough to figure out any issue that might actually exist with a movie......assuming that it's more than a rumor.

SS is not a bad movie, and it never pretended to be anything more than a fun romp which for the most part it was. It's no more or less memorable than the disposable MCU productions.
But good article. It's all clickbait because there's so many youtubers and websites now competing in the same space many have decided they're TMZ style approach is the most effective way to build brand. As soon as the MCU starts flopping, and it will if it keeps to it's rigid conservative formula, the same will happen. Or maybe not. X-men didn't get any attention with it's continual horrid movies, so maybe as we know, people don't really care about the MCU because frankly nothing memorable has happened in any if them. DCEU has already pushed the envelope with it's sci-fi, score, destruction, Death of Superman, and villains that are complex and intriguing.

I've checked out Bayona's directorial profile. He seem to be a good director with positive critical reactions to his movies. He has worked with Warner Bros so that's an advantage for him. However, I do not want any portrayal of Reeve's, Brandon Routh's or Hoechlin's Supeam again in the DCEU. They are too boring and unrealistic. I prefer Snyderverse Superman. If this guy can follow Snyder's portrayal of Supes, then I'll support him as a director for MOS 2..
Exactly what I want too! No more Reeve-style Superman - the past should remain the past, in respect to Superman portrayal....

What's your take on this? Do we really like to see other person (director) helms the affair of MoS2, or still want Zack Snyder to carry on with his visualistic and stylishly take on the character "Superman"?
Below is a comment from another director interested to shoulder the burdens of the Kryptonian.....

‘Jurassic World 2’ Director Dreams Of Tackling A Superman Movie
by ROBY D'OTTAVI on JANUARY 6, 2017

Credit: MARION CURTIS/STARPIX/REX/SHUTTERSTOC
Superman was a part of everybody’s childhood. Whether you grew up with the Justice League cartoon, or 1978’s Superman; the character was always there for you. Since the character’s big screen debut in 1978, many directors have tried to bring the character back to the big screen. Some have failed (Tim Burton), while others have succeeded (Zack Snyder). The most recent incarnation of Superman is currently deceased. Following a climatic battle with Doomsday, Henry Cavill’s Superman was brutally murdered in last year’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Of course, the character is scheduled to make his return in November’s Justice League, again, portrayed by Cavill.

While Snyder may be directing Superman at the moment, rumours are flying about the future of the character. A Man of Steel sequel is currently in development, but Warner Bros. have yet to confirm Snyder’s return to the director’s chair. If this were to happen, it would be Snyder’s 4th film in the DCEU. However, Snyder is not the only director in Hollywood who wants to tackle this iconic individual.

In a new AMA on Reddit, A Monster Calls and The Impossible director Juan Antonia Bayona revealed his love for the character. Bayona will direct the next Jurassic World film, taking over from Colin Trevorrow, who is a little busy tackling an indie film called Star Wars. Bayona revealed that 1978’s Superman was the first film he ever saw, and is the reason he decided to tackle filmmaking. You can read his answer below:

“The first movie I saw in my life was Superman. I was three years old. The first memory I had was Christopher Reeve flying in the suit. Directing a Superman film would be great. I always wanted to be Superman. That’s the film that made me want to become a director.”

Now, I have yet to see A Monster Calls, but Bayona’s The Impossible is one of the best movies of the last ten years, so him tackling Superman would be fantastic. Of course, we have no idea what is happening with the Man of Steel sequel, but how would you guys feel about Bayona taking the helm? I would love to see how Bayona would tackle a Superman movie, especially in this established DC universe.

SHAZAM!!!!!! BRING DOWN THE LIGHTNING!!!

Re: Brandon Molale And The Shazam! Movie: A (Badly Needed) Clarification
Hello, Captain Marvel fans!

Brandon Molale

By now, you will likely have come across Brandon Molale’s social media posts on New Year’s  Eve and New Year’s Day on Twitter (here and here) and Instagram (here and here) in regards to his highly coveted role of Captain Marvel in the 2019 Shazam! movie.

It has resulted in a high number of people thinking that Molale is in talks for the role of Captain Marvel or that he’s up for the role.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Yes, he spoke with someone on New Year’s Eve about the role of Captain Marvel, but what it is that was said is unknown, but we do have a confirmation on what the discussion was about and who it was that he spoke with.

First, a clarification is needed, but before I do that, a little – okay, long – backstory is needed:

Molale has wanted and talked about wanting the role dating all the way back to 2006.

At that time and in the years after, Molale has been a fan-favorite casting choice for Captain Marvel, because he is the one actor who looks like Captain Marvel walked out of an Alex Ross illustration.

In 2007, Molale, along with Dwayne Johnson, were considered for the role of Captain Marvel. That same year, Johnson was talked into considering the role of Black Adam by fans and it was put to a vote. The overwhelming majority of fans (86%) voted for him to play Black Adam, for which he ended up being cast in and has been eagerly waiting to play the role ever since. This left the role of Captain Marvel vacant, and Molale as the only known contender to be considered for it.

Unfortunately, after 2007, the Shazam! movie had several starts and stops, either with delays and at least one cancellation during the following years, forcing it to exist in a perpetual state of development purgatory, including one in which writer John August detailed why the movie failed to get the green-light in 2009.

Fast forward to the Spring of 2014, the New Line Cinema president at the time, Toby Emmerich, announced that (along with several movies featuring several DC properties,) New Line Cinema had the Shazam! in development once more.

Speculation and anticipation for who would play Captain Marvel went rampant. Molale was once again a fan-favorite.

Later that summer, Johnson playfully teased fans that he was involved in the Shazam! movie, leaving many to guess whether he was playing Captain Marvel or Black Adam.

Molale joined in on the fun that summer, too when he publicly campaigned for the role with a strong proclamation:

As it turned out, Johnson was once more confirmed for the role of Black Adam a few weeks later. That same day, taking advantage of the fact that the role of Captain Marvel remained still-vacant, Molale again expressed that desire for the role:

Fast forward again, but this time to June 2016, where he told me he still wanted to play Captain Marvel:

All of this is a long-winded way of saying that the role of Captain Marvel is Molale’s long-time dream role.

Molale wants to play Captain Marvel badly.

Fortunately for him, fate may at last be favoring him, when on this past New Year’s Eve, Molale shared on Twitter that he finally had a conversation he’d waited nine years to have (going back to 2007):

In that tweet, Molale hash-tagged “Shazam” and included Johnson’s Twitter username, @The Rock, suggesting that the conversation with whom he had was with Johnson about the role of Captain Marvel in the upcoming Shazam! movie.

2016 MTV Movie Awards

I know what some of you are thinking: Why would he have the conversation with Johnson specifically, though? What exactly is it that Dwayne Johnson can do for him? Isn’t Johnson just the actor playing Black Adam? The answer is because Johnson is an owner of the production company, Seven Bucks Production, and they are producing the Shazam! movie for New Line Cinema.

This means that if it was indeed Johnson with whom Molale spoke with, Johnson can speak on behalf of it in regards to the Shazam! movie (as he is wont to do from time to time), and from there, any details that he shares with Molale, Molale can act on it.

Indeed, in the Instagram post of the same Nora Roberts quote, Molale provides an expanded statement:

“I don’t know if you call it divine intervention or not, but I believe everything happens for a reason.
Today, I was blessed to have the conversation with somebody I have waited 9 years to have. I said what needed to be said and now it’s time to move on. I asked and let it be known as to what I want. Now it is out of my hands. There are no more excuses for me to make. This was the opportunity I have been waiting for.
2017 is a big year of change for everybody. Today’s opportunity was exactly what I needed to light the fire in me. As I reflect today on the past year, as rough as this year was, I am extremely humble and grateful for all the opportunities I was given. Thanks friends for all your support.
Be humble. Be grateful. Work hard! Happy New Year!
#nomoreexcuses #divineintervention #opportunity #motivation #happynewyear #2017 #shazam #dccomics @dccomics @therock #actor #stuntman #brandonmolale @brandonmolale“
There are two key things to take from that:

A) Whoever Molale spoke with, he made it known what it is that he’s long wanted, and now he’s being given the opportunity to do so. No more, no less. Note that he mentions that it’s lit a fire in him to make it happen. This likely means that Molale was indeed given information on which he can act upon.

This is supported by the very image he posts, which quotes Nora Roberts:

“If you don’t go after what you want, you’ll never have it.
If you don’t ask, the answer is always no.
If you don’t step forward, you’re always in the same place.
– Nora Roberts”
B) Like he did on Twitter, Molale also hash-tagged “Shazam” and included Johnson’s username. And like we could on Twitter, we can surmise that the person that Molale spoke with was Johnson and the conversation was in regards to the role of Captain Marvel. When you combine that with the fact that the timeline of nine years (which goes back to 2007), the fact we know that he’s wanted the role of Captain Marvel since then, and that Johnson’s company is producing the Shazam! movie, we can safely hypothesize, if not conclude that it was indeed Johnson that Molale spoke with and that it was in regards to the role of Captain Marvel.

However, despite the evidence, these deductions were speculative. We had no definitive answer on just who Molale spoke with and what it is they talked about.

Fortunately, Molale dropped more hints the next day, on New Year’s Day. This time, Molale posted a combo picture of New 52 Shazam, the famous picture of him rocking the Captain Marvel T-shirt at what appears to be a premiere of Jamie Kennedy’s Kickin’ It Old Skool, and another one of him in top physique.

This one is very telling. Though Molale doesn’t reveal any new information, we can see that he tells us to set our goals and make it happen, presumably because he is going to do the same.

Which goals, though? It would appear that the hashtags “Shazam” and “motivation” and the photo within provide us with an implicative answer.

If so, then when we combine the new information with the one above it, in which Molale tells us that he was given an opportunity for which he’s long desired, and for which it lit a fire under him and that on both occasions, he uses the same hashtags, we can safely conclude this is the same motivation about a certain opportunity for which he speaks: The opportunity to earn the chance to play the role of Captain Marvel.

Also, note that Molale includes his location at the time of that Tweet: Equinox.

Not the astronomical event, mind you, but the fitness gym located in California, where Molale resides.

From that nugget of information, we can deduce that he’s begun or resumed training his physique. If so, then we can now guess that a part of Molale’s conversation was:

“Get back in top shape, and we’ll talk.”

By Alex Ross

It would make sense. The role of Captain Marvel does not yet belong

seriously, how short could the man be?
Almost all superheroes are 6ft+. Though Robert Downey Jr is not up to, but Iron Man makes him 6ft+.
A minor role is best for him. Just like what we saw in CW - the role Freeman ( bilbo baggins from the hobbit trilogy) played...

It's not about the effects. It's a stellar movie based on a children's storybook. Despite the good reviews it didn't make so much at the cinemas but it's certainly better than Ghost busters. Let's not derail.

Comic book movies are the only certain money spinners at the box office apart from franchises like Fast&Furious, Mission Impossible, etc.
Ok. I agreed...

wait, tom cruise is short? Wow.
wow! it surprised me you didn't know Tom is Short. His height won't pass him for such character - and you know, using visual effects will make them incurred more cost + his astronomical fee... It's rather better to look for an actor with height and less billing for Oliver Queen... Don't you think so?

The truth is that these critics are biased. Look at Star Wars: The Force Awakens, such a trashy movie but got highly commendable reviews. It's one of the worse movie I have ever watched in the Star Wars franchise.
Star Wars TFA was one of those movies I kept looking at my watch when watching it! I regret ever using my #1200 to go and see that movie! The most overhyped movie in the history of Hollywood... Rogue One won't pull another stunt on me. No matter the hype, I won't dare go and waste my cash on it...

Don't you like the man? i find him to be very interesting. Green Arrow would be good for him. Oliver Queen. Come to think of it, Cruise hasn't played a billionaire playboy before.
His height will be a problem... That dude is short... Maybe he can play a minor role. Probably killed him off after one or two minor roles in two movies grin
I think Brad Pitt would be better as Oliver Queen...

You can't compare Ghost busters with The BFG. Ghost busters was a shitty movie that deserved all the bashing it got.
Yet your critics bros praised it! what an irony....
What about Miss Peregrine and the Peculiar Children too... Hope you ve seen it...?
